Well done to the barbers.
May they all grow up to be politicians who will care for their people first rather than rorting the system for their own sake.

Of course speed had nothing to do with it.!!
Maybe not? Following too close? Not paying attention? But, above all, I may suggest "brain fade"!

Low horsepower can also do the same thing - crash. It is ALL ABOUT driving to the conditions!

Yea, ‘social media has taught us that’ means that if we didnt know already, we certainly know now. I’m well aware of how narcissistic people are.
Understand what you are saying BUT 'confirm' would be, IMHO, more correct than 'taught'. And we see/hear more of them. Not the fault of the media, only that of the users.
People (and the Thai Government can be a prime example) love to blame the "media" and want to shoot the messengers rather than dealing with those who are the cause of what upsets them.
And now, back to narcissism.....................................my God, I look great on my vintage motorcycle

I'll have what she's having - to use a popular TV advertisement (in my country).

Just don't be dogmatic about asserting what you believe are your lawful rights - give way and live!
As a VERY longtime motorcyclist it worked for me.

This idea stinks . It means once you get old you can't go anywhere because nobody will sell you insurance.
An idea "floated" by those (fools?) who do not have the IQ to consider all the circumstances.

Quite, but many on this thread are not interested in some of the basic facts. The Thai government is between a rock and a hard place having been badly criticised in the international press by the likes of Dame Judi Dench, do people really think they are going to stick their neck out again by culling the dogs. With the vaccination project they have adopted a low profile approach which will take time. The plan is in operation, the government vet came to our house, we have around 50 cats and 8 dogs, he ran out of vaccine and had to come back. The vet was telling us that the soi dogs are a real problem due to the lack of owners and they are looking into how to tackle it, first priority was to deal with domestics as they have greater contact with humans.
People complain about the problem getting worse but do they ever think to wonder why, dogs have been around since time began, there should be thousands of them about. Years ago they were rounded up and disposed of until people started complaining about the methods being used, you can satisfy some of the people etc etc.
I can only guess that Dench has never had to put up with the conditions that are currently affecting Thailand (and maybe others) with dog problems. People "in ivory towers" comes to mind.
And I do like animals but some people do not care enough about their pets (or animals under their control) and therefore this can impact negatively on others. BE RESPONSIBLE.
And for those who do not keep up with the latest news, be wary about buying vaccines from China.

Only us "farang" and maybe a few others are concerned about this carnage. Thai Government and people seem not to worry.
Begs the question, "Why should we worry"?
It's their culture, their lives and not about to change anytime soon (if ever). IMHO, a sad fact.

What's your reading problem?
This is first hand information from embassy staff.
Don't know if they told her that traffic was halted for her.
? I didn't realise you were only joking. I thought you must believe what happened.

Many years ago the late Belgian queen visited Thailand, and while travelling through Bangkok traffic, she told embassy staff that she was surprised about the smooth traffic situation because she was told it was a nightmare.
What comic were you reading?

I think there is a better chance of turning water into wine than solving the traffic problems in 3 months.
I can turn wine into water and I am NOT a chemist.
But a whine? Nah.

To be fair, this, so far, is nothing to do with the Thai government - it's merely a straw poll conducted by ThaiVisa, but I can see that IF it were to happen, the Thai Government's attitude could either be to make tourists who cannot get insurance somehow (?) PROVE that they can afford to pay for a serious medical emergency, or to simply say "tough luck, you cannot come to Thailand"
Let's hope it doesn't actually happen.
Well, it has a LOT to do with the Thai Government (despite this straw poll)! They are the ones complaining about the huge costs to them for the Chinese tourists debacle and tragedy off Phuket.
And if the Government wants to adopt the stance of "you cannot come to Thailand" then I would guess that tourist numbers will increase in other SE Asia nations. They will be happy to take the money. As Thai girl say, "Up to you".

Just electioneering B.S.!
And if B.S. was tarseal they would pave a four lane highway to the Moon and back.
I recall the Bangkok Governor made that same statement 2 or 3 years ago!
Seems they are all tarred with the same brush - let's say something so that people will think we are going to make an improvement. Outcome = nothing changes!

Ha, I just printed out the Thai version to place it under the windshield wiper of the idiot mobile fruit vendor who visits our Apartment block twice a day, early morning and late night. He parks in the lot and starts his recorded propaganda about his crap via a 200 watt speaker. His sales monologue is as long as a reading of War and Peace. ? ?️??
Did he respond to the "message"?

He should have called the police, it is their job to sort stuff like this out - if they fail to do so (which is likely) it does not give anyone the right to take a gun and murder someone
"..of they fail to do so (which is likely)..." Then just wound him - no need for murder.
Just an alternative view point.
