  1. Batten down the hatches folks, there will be blood in the streets.
  2. Apparently should have stuck to fighting the Peninsular War against old Bonie Bonaparte.
  3. Bottom line is that he has a very poor opinion of non-thais. Xenophobic and racist.
  4. Anyone have any recommendations for a decent seller of young, small weed plants for a decent price? There were lots at the beginning and the plants I bought were robust but now there arent as many sellers and the plants are not as hardy and seem to die quickly and easily. Cheers
  5. I guess you are not a true student of history. Al Capone, everyone knew he was a murderer, thief and racketeer but he had good lawyers and deniability so they got him for tax evasion. At least they got him.
  6. Good updates and thanks to all. Going to spin up there and check there dermatology situation. Will report back!
  7. I refuse to believe in any higher power that would allow the things that I have seen to occur. I have been to war zones and disaster zones and have seen the abject misery that is the human condition. Nope, it is all just a very bad joke.
  8. Have seen Kerry offices closing up and an item I ordered from Lazada was returned as undeliverable by Kerry. Wife seems to think they are striking Samui off the map.
  9. Well, the boy genius’ from the roads/safety patrol have decided to install both loose traffic cones as well as bolted down pylons around the island……in the middle of the roads! Does this strike anyone else as an accident waiting to happen? It is tough enough riding a motorbike on Samui while constantly keeping an eye peeled for dogs, scooters, folks on their phones and tourists but now there are extra exciting things to attempt to prevent you from arriving at your chosen destination with all of your skin still attached to your person. If I still had my old beater truck I would make it my lifes mission to drive around the island and destroy every cone that had the temerity to enter my field of vision. Ok…rant over. For now…
  10. Hi folks. Have been going to “The Big” hospital here on Samui to get my recurring skin issues dealt with and in the past it was quite reasonable however at my last visit the regular lady dermatologist is gone and replaced by a fly in doc from bkk. Also the prices for my treatments have literally blown up through the roof. It is quite crazy. So, as the post title goes does anyone have any info on any other dermatological doctors, hospitals or clinics on Samui. Cheers folks.
  11. I have connected with Christian, he does home visits with his table for 1500. Phone number is 0872661144.
  12. Hey troops, in search of a chiropractor as my old one, John in Lamai, cannot be raised, maybe split Dodge. If anyone has any recommendations it would be appreciated. Cheers
  13. Its a joke, getting bent out of shape over semantics. There is zero impact on the ability of Thais to purchase land in “upmarket” areas due to this new idiot scheme. Land is already owned through nominee companies so the only change is actually granting rights to non Thais as land owners rather than the shady nominee company gig. It is simple head in the sand racism. End of rant.
  14. I only use paypal for ebay purchases of small ticket hobby items and as of this morning my account is no longer accessible. Once again the Thai authorities pluck the low hanging fruit, foreigners, as it requires the least actual effort.
  15. Have just been informed by Paypal that their service is now only available to holders of Thai id cards (Thai nationals). So, if you relied on Paypal to shop on ebay or make payments you are out of luck. Xenophobia strikes again!
  16. Just in pots suspended from my front rail. 100% shade area.
  17. Thanks Crossy, I guess just small to medium plants that can add some green or color to my front steps.
  18. Hi folks, I do not, repeat, do not have a green thumb but want to fancy up the front of my humble abode. It is well shaded so does anyone out there in plant land have any suggestions for an ornamental plant that enjoys the shade? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  19. It will actually be a boon to those trying to manage chronic pain without some of the side effects from prescription pain killers. I was burned some years ago and the pain meds I was prescribed were horrid, no appetite, stomach issues and just no fun. Switched to pot and the bonuses were many, increased appetite and a non relenting thirst which was good for the repair of the burned tissue. Oh yeah, pot does not do anything to alleviate the pain per se but damn….whatever Oprah is saying is just so damn interesting that you forget about the pain!
  20. Perfect time for a non scheduled change in military leadership??
  21. One of the most moronic posts in the history of moronic posts.
