Should that comfort middle aged men, and legitimate marry a 16 year old "school"girl because they fancy girls with teddy bears, ponnytailes and school uniforms acting 12 years old?

You've just described almost every 30 year old Thai single mum I've banged!

You did miss out the bunny ear hair accessories and the 'hello kitty' cushions they all have.

Its beyone comedy gold let alone naive I agree

Every time the passport (any nationality) is used its logged automatically......if its not been used than the last immigration entry (wherever) is exactly where the passport holder actually is (obviously)

If that other guy says the Phillipines is where he is it will take DWP a few seconds to cross reference that information to realise he's lying

Once you leave your home country, your home country has no idea where you've gone, countries do not share entry/exit databases.

Your uk passport is not linked to your NI number either. So currently there is no way for the DWP to connect you to your passport.

Exactly, you might say they cannot afford to live in Thailand. I have friends in England who were Billy big <deleted> when we were younger, earning loads & spending loads. Never saved to pension. They still work into their old age because the state pension isn't enough & they have no other income. Remember cash is king, its not, put it into pension & reduce your tax bill whilst saving for a guaranteed income for life. Cash reduces in value by half every 10 yrs.

But you can sneak your cash away when being divorced, while you will lose 50% of your pension.

or i could take the 17,000 it costs to buy a 2 bay synology lol
and build my own NAS at a fraction of the cost
or i can just access any of my networked machines i already have running 24/7 and view any files i want
i have over 100 HDDs spread across 6 rigs which run 24/7 (although currently scaling this down with higher capacity drives to save power)
"No need to even turn your computer on"...... what do you think your NAS is lol

I paid 7000bht for the Synology ds233j 2 bay Nas earlier this year. It uses 10W so it's left on 24/7, no need to conserve power.

True , once the temp gets too hot , the reaction will start and nothing will be able to stop it .

So as protective measure , make sure you got all the electronics right and when selfbuild make sure you use a non flammable box . Also when possible, check on regular intervals the connections for heat/burn marks.

Would point out Lithium fires are hot enough to burn through concrete and steel.

Best to keep your batteries in a shed outside the home.

Crikey, why do you need a police red box?

Do the cops visit you once a day?

I thought those police red boxes were for dangerous, problem areas.

The police visit our 'red box' 3x a day.

"none of those beach front properties on the oceans could be insured"... some coastal property regions are becoming uninsurable in New Zealand.. but then in your world, maybe Thailand won't be affected by rising sea levels.. but if you ever did any research on these sorts of subjects, then you would know that sea level rise is a very slow but progressive fact... - it is the storms surges that are causing the most damage... not just going out and finding the sea level has gone up a few mm....

I'm looking forward to the day when I can buy some cheap seafront property. I don't need a mortgage or insurance, just a cheap place to live.

With only 2 drives you are limited to only RAID0 or RAID1.

RAID0 will give you twice the capacity of a single drive, but no data redundancy. If one drive fails, you'll lose the whole RAID.

RAID1 will give you only half the capacity of 2 drives, but provides redundancy.

IMO, Raid0 and Raid1 are generally for specialized applications.

I don't use raid, I just keep a second Nas in a different place with the same files on it.

That is because the largest HDDs on the market is 24TB
Seagate have recently announced a 30TB HDD but that is yet to hit the stores
not easy to find is an understatement as they are simply not available
Seagate released a 60TB SSD but that is expensive and hard to find and is for enterprise use
and 100TB from teamgroup has been rumoured

hopefully we will all get to see quartz storage if the powers in play ever allow the tech to reach the masses in our lifetimes

You just buy a Synology NAS and treat it as a single drive.

My 2 bay Synology ds233j can take 2x 22TB hds internally, and another 2 USB drives externally.

They also make 4 bay models.

No need to even turn your computer on as it can download torrents, and play to your smart TV on it's own
