I think you'll find the options are weekly or every four weeks. There was no quarterly option when I applied for mine.

"I print mine as two 5 X 7 photos on A4 photo paper."
I did that once and was given a pair of scissors.
Also witnesses asked for, provided, and not spoken to. The IO did glance at them, though.
Non 'O' is so much simpler.

Usually when a machine eats your card you have to buy a new one. This a pain if is an expensive one with all the bells and whistles. I have an expensive visa and a cheap ATM card on my account and only put the ATM card in ATMs. Once bitten twice shy.

I just had similar experience, school called me asking me if I could come back as they are in a bind with 2 weeks to go and no teachers. I asked about salary, contact hours and hours on site. Salary the same, contact hours increased and want me to stay an extra half hour every day, insuring that I get stuck in the worst traffic on the way home daily. Can you guess my answer ?
Same thing just happened to me! We can't find any mugs to work in the middle of nowhere for peanuts, would you like to come back on a crap deal? Gosh, let me think.

Motorcycle breakers. My little bike runs fine but it is "too old" for me to get replacement panels so it's held together with duct tape. Seems like everyone rides them into the ground then chucks them in the khlong.

I bought a 12Call 4G sim for my tablet a few months ago from a phone shop no id required. "Do I need to register it?" "No, that's all finished now." Works fine, as you can see.

There's a routine stop outside Aranyapratet but I've never been checked outside Mukdahan. The Aranyapretet guys are looking for Cambodians, I've seen them pull people off a couple of times. They've only ever glanced at my passport. Presumably outside Mukdahan they're looking for Laos?

If you want to cost it out to the last baht, don't forget you will need to buy a re-entry permit to leave Thailand on the annual extension should you wish to travel abroad.

Thanks Ubon Joe. I actually live in Sakeao about half way between Poi Pet and Ban Laem but Poi Pet was favourite as there is a good bus service to Rong Klua market plus I could use an eVisa.
-
Can anyone confirm that the Cambodian web site is up to date and that only Poi Pet accepts eVisas? I expect to use Ban Laem instead.

Top tip, if you go to Savanaket regularly, grab a spare entry card for next time then you can arive at the voa window with no more scribbling to do.

Copy of wife's id card and housebook signed. I have submitted without date and it hasn't been queried.
Better safe than sorry but I don't think it's necessary.

The guy who built my house warned me that the meters were only rated at 15 amps. Drawing that continously for 30 days comes to about 9,000 baht. One would hope the electricity company would understand they are incapable of supplying 90,000 bahts worth of electricity a month to an ordinary house?
-
But will Poi Pet accept it? That's the real question

Both my accounts were obtained with a multi O and an immigration address certificate no problem at all. The AC is only required if you don't have a work permit to certify your address. Opening an account without a WP or AC is at the discretion of the bank, but with one they will just go ahead and do it.
If Paypal have blocked your debit card, just get a new one from KTB and it will have a different number. If they're blocking you by name then a new account won't help.
I'm wary of SCB after they insisted I need a credit (not debit) card to go on line. It's probably not true but I don't trust them now.

The first one I had was 300. An ATM ate it. When I went to replace it it was 600, take it or leave it. What can you do?
Top tip, only use ATM cards in the ATM. Those are only 100 to replace. ATMs seem to eat cards quite regularly here.

I have a krung thai visa debit card, works on line perfectly, both in baht and dollars. Expensive though, 600 baht. They told me that was the cheapest that would work. I think they call it "Pearl". What card do you have? Also KTB on line banking works just fine, too. I'm quite happy with them. SCB insisted I would need a credit card to use on line so that's a nonstarter.

Thanks Ubonjoe. I'll keep an eye out for more details.

I've been doing border runs to Poi Pet on a multi non O for three years no problems. Has something changed recently?

Multi-Entry Visa means you need to leave the country every 90 days.
Some borders now refuse to let you back in. Poipet, for one.
Since when?

You can see whether someone has a raffle ticket or still has ther docs from a way back up the queue.

Very. It's been recommended here not to go on Tue/Thur if you can avoid it because thats when the groups go, and like a mug I didn't listen, I could easily have gone a day earlier.

I'm sitting in a bar in Savanaket right now waiting for the 2pm pick up (multi non O). Everything seems perfectly normal, I didn't see anyone turned away yesterday.

Have you been back home lately? Fines in the west are 10 to 100 times higher. I'd pay a couple of quid cheerfully. Pleasure doing business with you, officer.
