  1. Most predicted it would be $$$$ over morality, and now proved to be correct. Shame on you Don
  2. Guess this will be the next item that Thai Pass adds to it's insurance requirement.555
  3. Something that people receiving pensions overseas dont understand is that home governments want pensions to be spent in the home country. This contributes to the economy there. Your pension today is paid for by todays taxpayers. As populations age there are more on the pension and the burden falls on those younger people working and paying taxes today.
  4. Would you sign for a package not knowing what was inside? And if her associate and the environment in which she was staying did not raise some suspicion then maybe not an idiot but definitely naive.
  5. So quarantine was dropped in Nov ? then what would you call the 7 nights (8 days) I had to spend in an AHS hotel in December on my return from Australia carrying a tripple vaxccination certificate?
  6. They wont accept PDF but the irony is the Thai pass comes in PDF
  7. Answer, Age limits by insurance companies and the constantly changing rules.
  8. Not correct, the Thai pass only requires that your insurance and AS hotel booking are fully paid and you are fully vax'd. Re the PQR test you must show the airline that you meet the Thai PQR entry requirements. For Thai it is a negative PQR taken within 72 hrs of departure, BUT if you transit somewhere they may require a shorter period. Singapore is 48 hrs. And for flights to the USA it is 24 hrs.
  9. If your not sick and not receiving treatment, then why should they pay for your isolation ? Answer! Because it is Thai Law that you isolate in a hospital, the same government that set the "must have covid insurance law" as condition of entry. And the same policy that Thai Pass approves for your entry.
  10. Stats say it all 90% of accidents are motorcycles. So safety programs should concentrate on them.
  11. Dont need to know his back ground just look at his actions, deplorabe and cowardly.
  12. So his advances were rejected, loss of face, his reaction do something to show his superiority over a woman, but he picked the wrong one, then tried to run away, sniveling coward. Well done lady, no woman should be subjected to this type of denigration. Give her a medal.
  13. I had the same experience, and try adding in an over 65 age factor,
  14. I did buy Thai insurance because I had no choice, living here. I agree with the thrust of your statement but did'nt see any of your suggestions as alternatives. That is why I said not helpful
  15. But if on arrival and in AHQ hotel and you test positive but dont feel sick, they still cart you off to the hospital they have an "arrangement with". Apparently Thai law, Surely then legally you should be able to claim the costs under your insurance. How can the Govt demand that you have insurance and then allow the Insurance companies to deny claims when you are there due to the Thai law. IMHO either pay up or drop the compulsory insurance requirement. Makes hollow the the argument that the insurance is required to prevent hospital being stuck with unpaid bills
  16. There is no doubt the number of omicron case here will continue to explode because it is so much more tranmissable than the delta version. Australian states of NSW and Victoria are 92% vaccinated, and new daily case of 30,000 per day in a NSW population of 7 million are an indication of just how easily it is transmitted. (Thai population 67 million). But the high Australian vaccination rates means most cases are not severe. The problem for Thailand is it's vaccination rate is still quit low particularly up country and among older people. Care needs to be exercised in theses areas and the elderly.
  17. Given motor bike riders disrespect for any road law, cant see them using a special lane even though it would be a good idea
  18. very common offence for motor bikes, need more cameras able to capture rear number plates of bikes, and a campaign against those riders who tuck the plates back under the seat out of sight.
  19. Unfortunately many BIG Bike riders do ride at excessive speed and weave over several lanes. Let the blame lay where it deserves to be.
