I'm on a Non- O retirement visa extension. As the title says, I missed my report date. 9 days overdue. First time this has happened. Will go into the office today to report. What will be the likely response from the immigration officer. I assume there is a fine. How much money do I need to bring? What's a realistic worse case scenario?
Thanks in advance...
Similar situation I forget to do the 90 day for about 10 days late. Went to CW reported in, 2hr wait then Baht 2000 fine and stamp in my PP. All fine and dandy then, after all what is the 90 day all about? $$$$$$$$$

so does this mean all incoming money transfers from abroad, if so will they will be taxing pensions as well when they are transferred from other countries, sounds more like a huge money grab by the government if it does, they should only be able to tax money earnt from Thailand not savings etc that were/are earned in other countries. This will be challenged as it is outright theft if the money has nothing to do with Thailand earnings, only the country where it is earned or banked have the right to any taxes from it, the finer details are needed to make sure what they plan to do is legal and not jut a way to rip farangs off
How can they tax savings because tax would have been previously paid when the savings were earned?

Correct, its actually illegal to on-sell electricity which is what apartments do. Their rate is the MEA/PEA rate about 4.7 b/kWh then they bill tennant at 9 to 10 B/kWh. Hand written receipts, so the difference is undisclosed income so no tax payable. A practice MFP should take on as one of their policies to stop. Its usually the lower income people that have to rent apartments.

Mind you, one must accept that there is not exactly a direct correlation between that and forming a government! That said, Pheu Thai, and the major opposition group MFP, are rather more in touch with public opinion in this matter than Pichit Chaimongkol, and his "Network of Students and People for Reform of Thailand"!
Got nothing to do with a person using his influence and $$$$$$$ to avoid hi conviction terms. JAIL

There is nothing ambiguous about flashing yellow traffic lights.
The Flashing yellow means 'proceed with caution'....
Just two stupid people ignoring the traffic lights with a 'me first' mentality so typical on Thailands roads.
Another intersection Sukhumvit and Na Na is an accident waiting to happen because the vehicle Red/ Green lights are often out of sequence with the pedestrian crossing walk/dont walk signs. Appears that police in the police box at the intersection override the safe sequence.

BANGKOK (NNT) - Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is now focusing on boosting the economy of Thailand’s northeastern region, with plans to host his first mobile cabinet meeting in Nong Bua Lamphu province in November. The decision follows his inspection trip to the northeastern region, where he identified pressing issues such as low incomes, drug-related problems and the impact of drought on the local population.
During his visit to Nong Khai, Srettha emphasized the potential for economic growth in provinces like Khon Kaen and Udon Thani, citing their proximity to Laos and their airports that can boost tourism. He also discussed the second phase of the dual-track train project from Khon Kaen to Nong Khai, highlighting its importance and profitability.
The government also made clear its plans to collaborate with various agencies to enhance facilities for the local export industry, ensuring it remains competitive with neighboring countries such as Laos and China.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce and business sector representatives in Nong Khai are meanwhile looking to build a bridge connecting Nong Khai and Vientiane to be completed by 2029, and have requested the establishment of a business center for traders.
The group has also urged support for Khon Kaen University’s plan to open a high-speed railway engineering school, with the aim of improving the labor sector in the northeastern region while advocating for pro-Nong Khai economic policies.
The premier noted that he plans to return to the region to follow up on infrastructure projects in the near future.

But will they stop trucks from being overloaded?
Not only should they be fined when overloaded but they should stop the truck and have the company come out and remove the overload before allowing the truck to leave again.
Forget the overload distraction, what if the vehicle truck or pick up was transporting dope, much higher value and better able to afford the ticket

EV's will be touted as going green in Thailand, but throw some more oil into the burners to produce the electricity to re-charge them.
Yes currently only 16% of electricity in Thailand produced from re-newable sources so EV's will just increase the use of oil gas.

by TopPicture courtesy of Go Go Town
In Pattaya City, the local authorities have put forth new stringent regulations to deal with issues plaguing speedboat operators at Bali Hai Pier. This includes the implementation of standardised ticket prices and a ban on herding tourists.
On a day in early September, the Pattaya City Council convened to strategise and regulate tour boat operations. This was spurred by a conflict among operators competing for tourists heading to Koh Larn from Bali Hai Pier, situated in South Pattaya. The Deputy Mayor, Wuttisak Ruemkitkan, presided over the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy Superintendent of the Pattaya Police Station, Pol. Lt. Col. Surachet Aneksri, the Deputy District Chief of Banglamung district, Pittayaporn Korkaew, other officials, and tour boat representatives.
Among the issues addressed at the meeting were ticket pricing, service procedures, and the establishment of cooperation agreements between operators and Pattaya City. The city decided that tour boat operators would be banned from approaching and herding tourists looking for a boat to Koh Larn. The term herding is used to describe the practice of pressuring customers to choose speed boats over allowing them to approach a ticket queue.
As part of the measures to maintain order and prevent conflicts among businesses, operators are directed to stay within their allotted tents and market their services solely from there. They are also required to ensure a maximum of five staff members per tent.-- The Thaiger 2023-09-09

A strange article.
Most of the early MG EP's were bought as taxis. A look around the second-hand market at early examples show enormous mileages on them.
There is still a 231,000 baht subsidy on them for all, including taxi drivers.
Most of the taxis are not owned by the drivers they just rent by the day. Let the real owners meet the cost, they reap the profit.
