I would love to see the 'tinker' cars, Wuling & Pocco simply priced closer to China's pricing.
China about ฿200k +/-
Thailand ฿400k & ฿500k
One does wonder (not me) why they aren't sold here for ฿300k. Still a nice profit, and affordable to most. With the Suzuki Celerio starting at ฿330k, who on the lower income scale is going to buy an EV.
Mini EV range 'rated' at 170 kms ... maybe, Celerio is almost 700 kms.
What is the battery size for Celerio? for that range and current kWh/km indicative of 140kWh battery capacity? Thought the current max around 100 kWh?

I have a MI, Xiaomi, POCO (all the same) since about 2 years. It works fine. When I bought it and used it the whole day, then in the evening, when I charged the phone, it showed maybe still 70% battery capacity. Now it is down to about 50%, with similar usage.
In the moment that is still fine, but it looks like some time in the future I will need a new battery - or a new phone.
I think about going to the official store, i.e. in Fortune Town, and ask them to replace the battery.
Did anybody of you replace the battery in a phone like that? Does it work perfect again? Or is a (slowly) failing battery a sign or reason to buy a new phone?
What is your experience?
I don't really need a new phone, I just want to prepare for the moment when in the evening there is only 20% battery left. Then it will be time to replace the battery or buy a new phone.
Yes I replaced the battery myself in a Samsung phone, you need to heat the back to soften the glue that holds it then gently prize it off. Often the new battery pack will contain a prizing tool. Google u-tube to see the steps.

I have been trying to buy an All in One desktop computer. Power Buy in both Nakhon Sawan and Phichit only sell laptops, I saw one in IT City I wanted to buy there and then.
The sales girl said I have to wait till "mechanic" in her words comes sometime in the afternoon before I can buy. That sort of service is no use to me, what is the salesgirl there for anyway? I just wonder how that store stays in business.
Apart from going to Bangkok, Lazada has what I want, but I just don't trust their sellers, I know there is a way you can check a sellers background, but This is Thailand and money can buy anything, probably even good reports.
Going by looking through Lazada's AIO's the cheaper ones have no warranty, I would not buy anything like these anyway, but the one's at about 15,000Bt upwards usually have a sellers warranty of two years, the ones I have seen in the shops have a three years warranty in store.
Any advice anyone?
Two things, I bought a laptop via Lazada no problems at all happy with the purchase. Second, a Warranty in Thailand 555555.

The slide to a Chinese takeover of Thailand is starting to speed up, and with the latest display of post election zero ethics by PT, I wonder how cheaply they will sell the country out.

Wonder if the Esso member card will still be accepted by Bangchat because currently Bangchat will not issue one to non-Thais. If not then I will not use the new Bangchat.

A business associate called me last week. Said he had a mate coming to Thailand for the first time and asked me to take him out and show him around.
So i met the bloke and quickly realised that he didnt have the looks or game/personality/hygiene/style to pick up real girls.
So i thought we may as well head straight for the gogos.
After a couple of gogos he told me they were too noisy for him and he would prefer to just go to the beer bars he saw, which bore me, but I thought up to him.
So I know if you buy these girls drinks they will usually give you a bit of a squirrel grip and allow you to fondle and grope them.
Problem with this bloke is he started trying, and sometimes successfully, to start kissing them toungue down the throat style, much to the amusement and disgust of everyone else in the bars, mongers and hookers included.
It wasnt just for a few seconds, he would go on and on for as long as he could like a teenager. I think a few of the girls who didnt reject him thought it would lead to a bar fine, but it never did.
I mentioned a few things to try and put him off, like she had just done a blow bang with a van full of Indians etc, but there was no stopping this bloke.
He was a bit tight with buying drinks and tipping which made it worse.
I know these girls do a lot worse, but that is in the rooms.
Is it just me, or is this a bit off?
I told his mate about him, who thought it was very funny.
Take him to Lolitas and then after his games ask him if he noticed a funny taste?

Not under the table.
You've got to read section 7 and section 7(bis) together.
Section 7 says:
"The following persons shall acquire Thai nationality by birth:
(1) a person born of a father or a mother of Thai nationality, whether inside or outside the Kingdom of Thailand;
(2) a person born in the Kingdom of Thailand, except those under section 7 bis paragraph one.
Then, section 7 bis paragraph one basically goes onto define who it means by this, which is any person born to a parent who is in Thailand on temporary visa, or a parent who is here illegally.
So who is left? Those born here to parents who are both here on permanent visas - ie. Thai PR. Though it isn't stated explicitly, thats the implication.
Section 17 alludes to them again (loss of Thai nationality) as there is a special section just for these children who can lose Thai nationality under certain circumstance.
https://www.thaicitizenship.com/thai-dual-citizenship/
I personally know 4 people who have Thai citizenship from this method. All blond haired and blue eyed, born in the 1970s to British parents with PR. Back then, it must be noted, up until the early 1970s, basically every extension of stay effectively granted you PR, so these people got it as a matter of course. Their kids - most who are friends of mine, are living and working here in Bangkok, one who owns a large business many in Bangkok may have heard of.

I would think it depends on the person, what they're watching and what they do when they're not watching a screen. There is no magic number, but there is a point when "enough is enough".
For many of those that I've seen 2 hour off the screen gives them mental issues.

I think its ridiculous to be wearing one day in day out. The threat of the chinese virus is over. I recently paid a sign guy to erect a vinal sign on our building. Towards the end of the job he saw me walking towards him and he put on his mask. I hung around until it was finished. He had a long neck of beer with him. Took a drink and put his mask back on. I lost respect for him. Thought he was an idiot. Is he that paranoid to catch a virus (from me)
We have a busy small business. Ive noticed half the customers that walk in dont wear them which is good. I sit at reception not wearing one of course.
I think its quite weird that many thais are still wearing them when majority of population in western countries are clearly not.
Just mind your own business, if sensible people prefer to protect themselves what harm are they doing to those others with less.

Just do it ! If these gossip channels wont police their bad apples then a strong hand is warranted. They do have ample money so spend some on sorting out the problems. Banning FB should spur them into action, why should normal Thai people suffer the cost.

What ever happened to the idea that taxis are part of the service industry here, and an important part in tourism. Unfortunately many of them are a terrible display of the worst aspects of Thai materialism. And what a laugh that riders are being asked to adopt a "code of use" . It should be the other way around. It is the lack of enforcement that has allowed the situation to reach the depths that it has.

Quick question for you guys - so we are renting a considerable condo in Bangkok. We will have it for 2 years, rent approx 80,000 Baht a month.
Landlord wants 2 months deposit, and 1 month rent upfront. I am curious as to how i know the Landlord will return my deposit. He is from China (not that it matters, just stating he is not Thai).
Anything i can do to protect myself or any general advice on the matter ? I have not signed any contract yet.
Insist on the money going to an escrow a/c

from the opinion piece...
They insist that this alliance was a “necessary choice,” which is utter nonsense. The only plausible reason for this unholy union is to facilitate Thaksin Shinawatra’s return to Thailand. Do they really expect us to believe that Thaksin conveniently fell ill the moment he landed, thus avoiding a night in jail and instead securing an entire hospital floor?
It will be interesting to see how Thaksin repays his debt to the "powers-that-be" for this compromise.
To be sure the "debt" has already been paid. How many senators are there?

Obvious from the way they drive that many drivers dont know what a road safety rule is about, thats why they fail.
