  1. Outrageously pathetic! No other outcome could be further from the intention of the voters. I do hope the electorate will not allow this to pass.
  2. There is about as much chance of this old toad waddling away from the trough as there is seeing him in the gym. without his position he has only his ill gotten watch collection to amuse himself and make him feel relevant
  3. there is nothing democratic about a Junta appointed senate determining who the Primary Minister will be
  4. That problem is not exclusive to Thailand. A big part of the problem is a failure of the education system to provide any meaningful financial or ethics education. maybe the lottery can fix everything
  5. You gotta just love how Ms. Shinawatra’s face says “I am really happy about betraying our voters, our people and our principles” “let’s go”!
  6. This is the reason the “Constitutional Court” was created. To undertake the dirty work the Junta wants to be seen as legitimate. Sad day for Thailand happy day for corruption and juntas.
  7. I guess Thailand has given up on last year’s policy of “quality tourists” over quantity. I know nothing last for ever, but public policy in Thailand seems to oscillate more than a fan
  8. Do I hear the rustle of envelopes being shuffled out
  9. This group has more of fringe elements than a country western stars’s wardrobe
  10. Heartbreaking stories of lives cut way too short. Thailand desperately needs to reform its traffic laws, their enforcement and the police, RIP boys
  11. Too little and way too late. The problem will add to the decrease in tourism. Nobody really wants to vacation in filth.
  12. But wait… this can’t be true. Prayut promised he was going to rid Thailand of corrupt officials. That is the reason he stated when he staged a coup and overthrew a democratically elected government. I think he also said something about not wanting the prime minister’s job and bringing happiness to the people. There must be a misunderstanding here.
  13. America already tried three strike laws and that didn’t work out for anyone, except private prisons
  14. I think you misread this post and jumped the gun in your haste to insult the original poster. He was comparing Thailand to China and asking if the next idea will be issuing social credits to Thais as they do in China. There was nothing contained that was bashing Thai people.
  15. That jacket is straining to contain an enormous amount of gluttony. Well made counterfeit
  16. Giant eyerolls, every time Bill Heinecke feels the need to share his useless greedy opinions. He seems to think the Thai government and the residents care about what he has to say. That is laughable.
  17. I thought one of the coup czar’s main goals was to restore confidence in the government by ridding it of corruption. Tick tock tick tock, eight + long years later and here we are. …as that goes, it seems not much at all has been accomplished in the past 8 years.
  18. A corruption accused director who approved higher entrance fees for foreigners has a department lousy with corruption and bribes. Who could imagine? top down investigation with appropriate consequences for those involved with corruption is way past due.
  19. Thailand is being governed by some old military leaders and inept political hacks who stick a finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing at the moment, then reverse direction at the slightest change. most governments are dysfunctional to some degree, but Thailand is the “hub” of governmental dysfunction.
  20. Thailand is a vassal state. Beholden to China at the cost of its own citizens.
  21. Prosecutors be aware. You have been warned. If you tamper with evidence and you are corrupted, you may have to accept your pension and move on to a higher position.
  22. Piyada Sornkul, I am sorry you met such a tragic, violent and frightening end. RIP
