Transsexual Suspected in Robbery of Bahraini Tourist
bananafish replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Homosexuality is illegal in the UAE, yet it's a very popular destination Thai ladyboys go to ply their trade. You don't have to look very far to find ladyboys in UAE. And the ladyboys have to travel as men to get through immigration, they'll be turned away if they try to enter in their normal female clobber. But it seems that once they're there, it's all good. Everyone just pretends it's not gay, and that it was just a massage. -
Castrated individuals cannot get an erection. Yes, the adrenal glands can produce testosterone, but not enough. It is possible, it's just extremely unlikely, and sexual drive will be gone. The idea that they don't get sexual pleasure, but some dominance kink, is not a universal fact. Pedos are sexually attracted to kids, some of them have even come out calling themselves "morally good pedos" or something. Because they say they love children and would never hurt them, so do not act on their attraction. All the millions who look at that kind of porn but haven't acted on it, it's nothing to do with dominance for them, it's sexual attraction. Which castration would vanquish.

I think castration for a man who destroys a child's life by forcing his sexual perversions on her, is justified. And it is a form of rehabilitation, because it would remove the impulse that drove him to commit the abuse in the first place. After time-served, he could re-enter society and have a life where he's no longer a danger to children.

So you get the feeling that a lot of the commentors on this thread are capable of worse crimes than rape of a 9-year-old? Okay. That says a lot about what you think is expected behavior. You may think you're being balanced, but to me, it sounds more like apologetics. We aren't the law, nobody here is going to affect this case with our opinions, and we're talking about what we believe would be right to happen should it turn out to be true. And frankly, I don't think castration is would be too harsh, I think it would be a good start.

Silent film chaos: Man attacks transwomen at mall theater for shushing
bananafish replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Why are you worried? It seems they were trans, so it's a fact. To simply say "women" would be misleading. So their mentioning it gives the story more accuracy. -

People who talk during the film in the cinema should be locked up. -

What about the drug dealers who are so obvious they may as well have "I'm a drug dealer" emblazoned on their clothing. -

109 died. I think the details of what the hell they're talking about are missing. -
Thailand’s experiment with weed goes up in smoke
bananafish replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Is it really causing any problems, though? I think legal weed makes Thailand more interesting, despite the fact that I have no interest in it myself, and haven't so much as even considered taking a single puff of it while it's been legal. -
Visa run crackdowns?
bananafish replied to azt219's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I suppose they want to make it easy for real tourists and less easy for people to live here using entry allowances intended to allow ease of tourism. -
Not Chinese, but I used to be able to get a return flight to Thailand for about £450, last time I looked (a few weeks ago), I was lucky to find any at £750, most were actually about £1,000. I looked up why flights are so much more expensive, and it's just demand and supply, many routes are still off since the covid shutdowns, and remaining flights are in higher demand so charging more.

Thailand’s Som Tam voted 6th best salad in the world
bananafish replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I've had it from vegetarian restaurants. They must just use soy sauce or something instead of fish sauce. I like fish sauce, but I'm not a fan of the dried shrimp or whatever it is in som tam Thai. -

I'm not vegetarian, but I only prefer som tam made vegetarian style. And not unbearably spicy. -
When the symptoms were at their worst, I was overindulging, for sure. I had some completely sleepless nights, and when I couldn't sleep, I would sit up and vape some more. Total overkill, no doubt about it. But a few nights ago, we were having a few drinks at home, and I indulged in a little bit of her vape, and the irritability and trouble sleeping came back. I didn't overdo it, I smoked it less than she did. I didn't check my heart rate, but that might be the main effect that causes all the other symptoms. I actually find it quite easily to not smoke and not vape at all, but once I start vaping, I do find it hard to moderate it. When I was a smoker, it was kind of self moderating, as it's intrinsically disgusting and sickening. At the height of my vaping symptoms, I would vape in 2 days what my gf vapes in closer to 2 weeks, so it's definitely self-inflicted and dose dependent. But the same symptoms started to come on again a few nights ago with very little intake. I'm kind of glad I developed an acute reaction to it now, as it makes it easy to give it up.

Like others said, it's very popular in Chiang Mai. There are two vape shops within a 5 minutes walk from my condo, the shops are always busy, and I'm the only farang I've ever seen in either of them. Though I won't be in them again as I've quit. In bars in Chiang Mai, many customers and staff are vaping.

Vaping is very bad for me, I get a host of physical and psychological side effects from it. Tossing and turning at night unable to sleep, terrible nightmares once I do sleep, awaking in the middle of the night with a racing heart, increase in daytime resting heart rate by 30+ BPM, irritability and increase in negative emotion. I almost broke up with my girlfriend because I was tying all this to starting shortly after we started dating. I was all set to break up with her, and was starting to hate being in her company, for no reason, as she hadn't done anything bad. Then one day, because of the constant waking from nightmares with a racing heart, I checked my heart rate throughout the day, and it sat at between 95 and 105 BPM. I am relatively young and in very good physical shape, so this freaked me out a bit. So I stopped vaping right away, and within 24 hours all the symptoms above went away. Normal sleep, no nightmares, my resting heart rate sits around 65 BPM, and the craziest thing of all, my affection for my girlfriend returned. I stopped smoking some time ago but took up vaping from being around her, because she vapes. So all these symptoms did start since being around her, but it was the vaping. Totally shocking to me that it impacted me so much, but I googled and found some corroborating anecdotes. So if any of you vape and are having any of these issues, it's worth knocking it on the head for a while to see if it's responsible.

COVID-19 infections on the rise among people not fully vaccinated
bananafish replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Everyone I know who has taken the vax have said they won't take any more boosters, and that they don't believe it was necessary to take it in the first place. Because it wasn't. I'm unvaccinated, and I know with 100% certainty that my decision was not a mistake, there are no unknown 5-years-down-the-line side effects of not taking a covid vax. 100% of the people who are vaccinated cannot be that certain.
