  1. Could have entered on a tourist visa, and then got an education visa.
  2. 100kg stuffed up your ass might get a bit tight.
  3. For a bitter ex-girlfriend, seeing this story hit the news is the reward.
  4. I know people who have already applied for the DTV. It's not so easy. They submitted all documents and they were requested to provide much more. Official tax documents and such. And yes, it's a 5-year visa, and you can come and go as you like for 5 years. Every time you enter, you get stamped for another 180 days.
  5. Wipe that breed out once and for all.
  6. I found those things notable, too. I imagined that if they were poisoned, someone must have been making a point to get everyone to drink the tea at the same time. Like, "hey, there's this new tea that you absolutely must try".
  7. In the UK, if you win £100 million in the Euromillions or whatever, you get £100 million tax-free. And I just looked it up, and I was wrong, you don't pay tax on poker winnings even if it is your job. I thought I read somewhere that professional poker players had to pay tax.
  8. Speeding up their plans by 10- years is life-changing.
  9. Gambling winnings are tax-free in the UK. Unless gambling is your profession, such as a poker player. For regular punters, you don't pay tax on winnings.
  10. If this happened to me, the #1 thing I'd try to ensure, is that my mug and personal business stayed out of the news.
  11. Time inside must have aged him, looks closer to 50 than 30.
  12. Yea, and they weren't complaining or trying to buy beans. But everyone likes to chime in without knowing what the frick they're talking about.
  13. Nope. It's what you get with poor governance.
  14. You said. He's not incarcerated in Thailand. He's in Scotland.
  15. How? And what has that got to do with this case? Considering he was apprehended and held in Scotland?
  16. When I click on a thread, it takes between 8 and 15 seconds to go to it. Also, the only way I ever come to this forum, is via the emails. However, since the Thaiger takeover, when I click the links in the emails, it takes much longer to load, again about 15 seconds. Also, every time I visit the forum, I am logged out. Like I am obviously logged in now, but if I go to my email right now and click on a link from the AN email, it will bring me to the forum, but I will be logged out again. No doubt this is murdering engagement.
  17. I believe they do seize the contraband and fine those importing it, what I assume they're talking about now is upping the amount they get fined.
  18. It wins a click, though, Certainly won mine. I was like, "okay, there's more to this".
  19. Whatever happened to the Kiwi's who wrestled the police officer to the ground? That story seemed didn't linger like the Swiss kicker story.
  20. If you think the article doesn't say police asked her to sign an urgent document, and had she signed it, charges would have been reduced, then you need to read the article again, because it does say that.
  21. Agreed. This guy desperately needs to be humbled, and taken down several pegs. But it seems the reclarification of charges she was asked to sign were more fitting for the crime.
  22. The police told her she had to sign an urgent document, which she comes to realise would have reduced the severity of the charges had she signed it. I think that is the part she is assuming is part of a bribe.
  23. Surely it must be quite an ordeal to swallow and then walk around with that lot inside you. Though the exist stage is probably quite a thrill.
