When Boom was in operation it worked quite well and so did Nitro,,,,,,,they are now history. Currently using BeastTV and works well enough

Based on the track of my letter the bottle neck is Jamaica (JFK) as my letter sat there almost 2 weeks waiting (for a plane?) but once it got on a plane my letter arrived here in about a week or so.

Update to my letter from the USA. It arrived yesterday. Total 33 days from start to end. I show a txt file of the 2 primary tracking sites I use that reflect the time and dates of movement.

My opinion on the ride quality,,,,,,,,very smooth even in my olde pickup. The joints at the raised overpasses was smooth too but remember this is all new. A local friend that also drove on it said the same thing very smooth as compared to say when the re-modeled the Hwy 36 road between the motorway 7 and 331 last year, that stretch was a very bumpy ride at every section joint

I drove the link from Ban Chang to Pattaya today about 1045. The exits to 331/Silverlake area and to Huay Yai/ Jomtein are and both not ready yet and will remain closed til September. There is a lot of radway finish work to do yet and many workers in different areas all along the roadway,,,,,,,,,clearly this a a very soft open for the highway but the main road to and from Ban Chang is now open for use and it will definitely cut your drive time to Swampy and BKK.

Yes, the process for the Amphur you live in has it's own way of following the actual rules written. This is not a one day deal. First and foremost is you and wife go to Amphur and the supervisor/staff will give you details for the paperwork required. Then you might spend the next few days getting the correct documents needed. When all of that is completed a return to the Amphur offices and possibly (as in my case) a trip to see our village headman for a interview and his approval signature and then back to the amphur for the final signing and presentation of yellow book. After getting the book you can then get a pink ID if you want one

Much if not all of this expansion is related to the EEC. If you don't know what that is then Google Eastern Economic Corridor in Thailand,,,,,,,,,,if it progresses the way the plans are many changes will occur in the area in the nxt 5 to 10 years and the motorway and other infrastructure improvements are just the beginning.

IMHO spending big bucks for a 5G capable phone is a waste of money for the average user,,,,,,,,,,all hype. The only place that 5G will really be worth having is in Bangkok area as the 5G network can be built properly as they need cells very close together as I understand so out in the hinterlands it is not a good system

Update on this letter sent using registered US mail,,,,,,,,,,USPS tracking now shows it has made it to a plane at JFK New York. Only took three weeks from Wisconsin to a plane bound for Thailand. Maybe it will arrive here in LOS in a day or two

All the US channels out there, all the sports you could ask for (not during Covid) Canada and UK TV US local channels,,,,,,,,in my experience with Android apps and Kodi addons all the free stuff never works very well,,,,,,,,If you are sold on Android I am happy for you,,,,,,,,,,,I like my Windows method and it has served me well for well over 5 years now. Between my torrent loading and Kodi and the IPTV I use I have plenty of choices along with Netflix,,,,,,,,,if you are happy with Android good deal for you

Windows store for Netflix or just use a browser and go to Netflix, Use Kodi for Windows is one way to stream other media either using addons or playing from a storage drive. I have been using a Mini PC with Windows for more than 5 years. Many ways to watch movies and other media. Much simpler than the Android box apps IMHO. IPTV subscription for live tv watching. 15 bucks a month gets me all the channels I can use and more

Choose your poison Android or Windows box whatever floats your boat.

I have been expecting a letter from US mailed on 24 April. In 4 days it made it to a New York facility. Now finally yesterday tracking shows it made it across town to the Jamaica New York International facility. It sat there from the 28th til 16 May,,,,,,,,,,hopefully it will make a plane to Thailand soon.

Many good suggestions here. The two I think should be on the list are Minix and the Formula boxes. Minix has a small edge to me as they have boxes with Win 10 Pro for less than 9,000 baht. I am not a fan in Android boxes. I have had at least 3 now and always go back to my boxes with Windows.  If cheap is what you are after there are many choices but beware!

As I feared, when I started this topic someone would not see that I asked 2 questions in the OP. Joe got it right from the start. First question was about an OA retirement extension and the second one not related to the first was regarding a non B retirement extension.

Just to be clear,,,,,,,,on an O-A retirement extension there is a insurance requirement but switching to an extension based on marriage then the extension no longer needs insurance.

And the non-B extension based on retirement does not need insurance at all.
