I am hearing good things about the newly opened Ciao Bella on the Phala road. ANyone else? Aso the Phala Rib House.
And I hear that Finnegans changed hands again on the 1st of August. Have not been there since Terry left.

Not a big deal as long as taken within the last six months (not the same as last year). AFAIK glasses have never been allowed on US passport photos - but you could wear frames without lens for photo (that dates back 50 years in my personal experience). As said above normal official Thai requirement for photos is blue background but have never has issue with normal off white wall in my home.
I had to look it up but I know the rules for USA passport photo rule had changed recently:

Thanks Joe as always

I was wondering if anyone can tell me the actual requirements for the photo on the TM 7. I know the size is 4 x 6 and a passport size photo but what about any particulars such as No glasses? Or must wear glasses if needed? Background colors? Clothing requirements? Like white shirt and tie or blue shirt or whatever. In the past I just got photos similar to a US passport but now the US requires no glasses.

I've always had success with VeryPDF PDF Password Remover (my last version was v3.1 but YMMV). Available in the usual places.
I have had no luck with different "Unlockers" on a US Tricare form. If I contact you would you be willing to try this app on the form?

Mibox is just another Android box what makes it special? Glad to know it makes you happy.

I just looked at my W10 and find I needed to install the MS app for print to pdf. It was not installed yet.

I have heard about an old Brit TV series "The Commander" 2003-2008. I cannot find anyone seeding it on the usual sites I use. Very difficult series to find,,,,,,,,,,,possibly not worth any effort to find it?
Anyone?

No one mentioned this but when changing halogen bulbs do not touch the globe with your bare hands/fingers as the body oils on the glass can cause premature failure

The new link to Utapao and Ban Chang is sweet,,,,,,,,,,,,it is not a shorter way in to Rayong City,,,,,,Hwy 36 will be the best way when that construction is finished.
The motorway flyover at the south end that will eventually go in to Mapthaput is no where near complete,,,,,,,that will be built in the next few years or more. It will be an elevated road parallel to the railroad tracks. It will never link to the BC bypass road.

The exit to BC is still closed,,,,,,,only exit choice is towards Utapao

Watched this movie last night. An epic tale of heroism and also how dumb the military can be,,,,,,,,,,,all the top brass who allowed this tragedy to happen should be in prison. I am writing about "The Outpost". Not sure what happened to my post and missed saying what movie

Thanks MadMitch. Why PP is such a problem from Thailand I have no idea. But they don't allow it, along with Thai debit cards. There must be reasons, but the agent didn't know. I might opt for a Gift Card, but Netflix has peed me off a bit now with its, we don't accept this, and we don't accept that, attitude.
I pay with my BBL debit card every month and have been for a couple years. 29th day of every month,,,,,,,,,,the card is be1st mastercard not Union Pay

Just an observation on this. Any openings provide a perfect way for birds or other critters to find a way to building new homes for their young,,,,,,,,,

On another note I just finished season 2 of the cop show "Bulletproof". Very entertaining and action packed following these maverick cops run around chasing bad guys BUT what a difference between this show and an actual procedure show like "Line of Duty". The way the entire police force does their jobs in Bulletproof is so far from anything real world it is almost comical and sad too.

My wife and several lady friends (all Thai) went there a few days ago. When I asked her how was the place? She immediately said same , same all Phala slow service just OK food.

Watched a few episodes of the two black cops on "Bulletproof". Entertaining and action packed so I may watch more,,,,,,,hard to believe this is an accurate depiction of Brit police procedure though based on other series I have watched.
Also found a new series from the US called "Hightown". First episodes will have me back for more.

this will never happen I am 75 and I bet many posting here are over 35,,,,,,,,,,,no one will be around to see this happen if it ever does.

Extension Renewal- Something New?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
I did my annual extension renewal at Rayong yesterday. I am on a non-B based extension for retirement since 2005. Have not left the country in all those years. Every extension has gone smooth with no issues. Last year since the changes to the system I could not use the Pension letter from USA as we all know the Embassy stopped giving the letter. So last year was the first time I did an extension using 800K in the bank. I used my BBL FCD account that holds a significant amount of funds well above the 800K. Last year went smooth as every year in the past. This year I broke a personal record as I went to my local BBL for my letter and updates and was in and out of the bank in about 15 minutes. I went home to make some copies and then to Rayong Immigration about 15 minutes away.
Arrived there and about 25 cars in lot and expected a group in the office. I was surprised as when I walked in only 3 people sitting there. Got my que number and heard the call for my number before I turned around. Went directly to Window 2 and handed in my forms and copies. IO checked it all over, handed back one copy and said cannot read this on get another copy. Went to get copy, returned in a minute or two and gave to IO. SHe added to the pile, I gave her bank book and she asked for my 1,900 baht. Said sit please and we call you. About 5 minutes passed and I was back to window, took my photo and then gave me my passport and receipt and also 90 day receipt and said see you at 90 day report. I checked psspt and all in order with my stamp for another year. In and out of Immigration in less than 15 minutes. Smooth as silk, no questions no discussions. I was very happy as I was worried about the insurance issues this year.
Extension rule.pdf
The only new thing I see is on my visa page they stapled a small document showing I need to show copies of bank book and passport at 90 report time,,,,,,,,,,,thi is new for me. It is a requirement for the 800K in the bank method I guess. Not sure if I have to do on every 90 day report or just the first one after the extension. I attach a copy of the form here for your view.
Thanks for reading
