  1. The locals must have already heard about the proposed rule. The photo shows only one person (the mother?) wearing a helmet.

Husbands ( and some Mothers ) tend to wear helmet protection.

However, turbans have been widely associated as being as protective as a bike helmet in crash, so turbans could be permitted (all three, Muslim, Sikh and Islamist), and allow facial access.

That neither breaks laws of the non-Buddhist religions, nor does it infringe upon road worthy legalities, nor the religions of the South. However, it does not protect the woman riding or driving, as they are not permitted to wear a turban, so a pinky area (like a yellow star) could be imposed upon the wearing of the niqab to differentiate between men and women. If a man is found wearing a pinky area over a niqab then he must immediately be sent to Walking Street in Pattaya to face sentencing from the rear.

  2. There really is no point in speculating, as nobody really knows where the Norwegian is himself, and nor where the girls are for that matter.

The Norwegian could be in on this too.. the girls could be in Norway with both; Who knows? The call could have come from abroad, as both girls have valid British passports, and it seems the police can't locate any member of so called family nor mother, or they have and nobody is 'dissing'.

You see? Speculation gets nobody anywhere! Interpol needs to step in, and very quickly - or Rob needs to get their passports cancelled so they can't be easily taken away, if they have not already been........ more speculation...... it gets ridiculous the more one speculates.

Can't we simply hope they are returned to their rightful place of home and to father, safely, instead of guess work and speculation?

Guess work and theories don't help in a matter such as this, and neither does discarding the mother of whom we have little information. Calling her for all sorts is only going to exacerbate matters of concern on her part. Agreements have been made for the childrens' return - let's hope it keels out on a level and, as said earlier, let all in Pattaya or surrounding areas, or indeed anywhere, let us all keep vigilant. It's not difficult to spot such young girls, with their lighter skin and smiles.

  3. Yes, of course economic reform is needed. But WHY is the Baht remaining so stubbornly high? There is nothing to justify it in the fundamentals and as every other country is very keen for their own currency to weaken, in order to remain competitive...the Baht seems to be strengthening. A stronger Baht is the last thing Thailand needs in these circumstances.

    Etc. etc.

Do you have to write like Yul Brynner, the Kind of Siam, spoke? cheesy.gif

Because of the hidden agenda. I know you read it, and clearly!

  5. Economic reform includes the likes of international trade, purchasing energy supplies from external sources with logistical knowledge, and getting along on an international basis. Thailand purchases its PLG, Oil, amongst other fuel resources, all from external sources, and there are few Thai regulations or obligations which meet international objectives. Q.E.D.

There is a hidden agenda in the energy crisis currently hidden here, and that is the corruption involved. There is no obligation from the 'people at the top' for best services offered to the Thai population itself. It is all "I want my cut", and thus it's neither even worth discussing nor thinking about.

Energy prices are not stable, and buying from ulterior resources helps to weaken the international player Thai climate.

Non-invasive aortic valve surgery and valve replacement has been available in the UK since 2007.

Try to google it... it is blocked!!

Move along Chula.. nothing new or revolutionary from you again! coffee1.gif

Please read the article more carefully next time... It states that the Chulalongkorn Medical Team were the "first in the world to have developed this kind of device" for aortic valve replacement. I assume that particular device they're referring to is the "hydra valve", which is described in the article.

The article does not state that the Chulalongkorn Medical Team were the ones who first introduced the method of "non-invasive aortic valve surgery" to the world.

Assume come what you may. Why don't you read carefully elsewhere, and actually see that hydra valves have also been around for donkey's years, comparatively, concerning this new alledged Chula and Thai development? Copy, copy, modify nid nid, and hey presto - a new wheel. Same as China does - copyright and patent infringement by the day, not the week! We developed it first, because we don't recognise international copy and patent right laws. bah.gif

  7. "Mr Narakorn, originally from Thailand’s northern province of Nan, went to work in Israel on June 24 before the escalation of violence between Israel and Palestine."

    WHAT? blink.png

Escalation of violence just began to 'up' on June 24th, 2014?

<deleted>... Thai lack of knowledge of what occurs beyond its borders never ceases to amaze me.

  8. "Nevertheless, he said that business operators were still concerned about the prospect that Thai exports to the US market might be affected by the face that Thailand was downgraded to Tier-3 level for its poor track record on human trafficking problem."

I mentioned the possibility of sanctions only last week, and was rebuffed. Thailand does care about exports to the West, and is most likely already suffering (and noticing it) from sanctions set by the EU. As for getting into bed with China, who cares? It's clear Thailand wants Western relations and exports, despite the West "not being my uncle". What would Thailand do without 'Benz' ?? blink.png .... Isuzu 12ltr? giggle.gif
