True isn't horrible in bkk...
Half the places I go I realise im connected to fast true wifi rather than 4g
Which is great because it doesn't use any of your data a lot of the time
When I first arrived I was pointed to AIS. After a year of phone and internet issues I swapped over to 3BB. 3BB I had to pre-pay for a year. I then moved to True. I pay around 1K per month for 30MB download and nearly all I can do on my phone (calling and data). I've never had any of the issues that I had with AIS and 3BB w True, so I've stuck with them for 2 years now. If the original poster is looking for 'short time' phone/internet support I really wouldn't worry about which.

If you have a trusted partner and want to sell the car and bike, I am in the market for them. I have both a Thai and US bank account and I can either pay the trusted partner or you via wire transfer. PM me the details of the auto's and prices if you want to sell them.
Best of luck on your health concerns.

I thought it was. Seemingly everywhere I go someone is panhandling it to me. It's good in chicken soup too!

In the 1980's I lived in Boston, Mass. for a while. I can tell you the place is a real sh*thole, drug dealers, drunks, strip joints and hookers. Don't think that sounds right? Well it was but I am referring to an area locally known as the "warzone" and it was all of those things. However to call Boston a sh*thole would be way off of the mark.
Then again for nearly fourteen years I lived in Thailand and that was just an enormous brothel and all the women there could be had for the price of a couple of beers. Everywhere you look there are criminals, paedophiles and drug addicts and murderers and lowlifes and..... I have heard that said more than once by people who really believe it. We all know that Thailand is very diverse and there are certainly places like that but also it is a beautiful country with many kind, creative decent people, both Thais and ex-pats.
It's simple enough, you don't call a country a sh*thole unless you are an ignorant moron.
You had me hooked until the last line; especially your shared comments concerning Thailand. Your last posit wrecked the entire position you were attempting to make. Again, I do not agree that the POTUS should have said such; however, I would really like to be an old fly on the wall and quote a few other POTUS'. Surely they have all acted with the highest decorum and voiced the most eloquent verbiage while holding such a position.....NOT just in front of the camera or behind the microphone.
I truly attempt my best to remain in the middle; and yes, I have voted for both donkeys and elephants. I even voted for Clinton on his first go and Obama on his. Nothing stated or read by the fake or 'real' news changed my mind. I vividly remember the former POTUS (jumping back to Clinton), stepping off M1 (that's Marine One), with the largest smile while talking to his nearest ear (aide, friend or donor I forget). Three steps before the mic and the real/fake news podium his decorum abruptly changed to solemn as he announced his very deepest, heartfelt, sober, etc.... condolences to a fallen warrior. Which was real, which was fake, I do not know. All I learned way back then is, its all a light switch. What ever is PC at the moment most people will act the part. Guess I'm trying to say is the the current POTUS is acting like he did when he ran his personal business.
I was fortunate (?) enough to reside in a tent in some very sh*thole states during my day. I met some very educated, smart, whatever you want to call them, individuals; however, I would still stay Trashcan (Afghanistan) and Iraq remain number 1 & 2 on my SH list. After all the media attention and being a bit vague on Haiti I perused the world fact book authored by an intelligent (or moron?) agency. After reading about the country, I'd guess they have some very beautiful beaches and some great people; however, I'd still call it a very depressed state that is plagued by centuries old problems. Still don't know where I'd rank it on my SH list, but it truly is no matter how you slice it; depressed state.

Again it wasn't only about the vulgarity. It was a combination of a president using that vulgarity along with most importantly the CONTEXT of his patter of suggestion people from struggling nations that aren't white aren't welcome or indeed should be DEPORTED and his voiced desire for more immigrants from the WHITEST nation anyone can imagine -- NORWAY. That's so dated though, he really is a relic, people from NORWAY rationally don't want to come to a messed up country like the USA that doesn't even offer health care to all it's citizens.
Yes, totally RACIST.
I don't really think anyone seriously thinks that a private citizen describing a struggling nation as a shithole or areas of the USA or other countries as shitholes is necessarily racist in itself. It isn't. Again, the context and the lack of DIPLOMACY from a president.
I agree that the POTUS should not have said that, I also agree that it shouldn't have been leaked from a meeting. Further, I don't recall healthcare being a government provided commodity, like all the other socialist like programs. Social Security was one of the biggest steps, in my humble opinion, that socialist ideals took root. It was supposed to be a 'work for your retirement' program, now millions of citizens and not, receive bennies from Uncle Sam. Guess my overall idea is that I worked for mine, why do I have to pay taxes from my retirement pension for those that haven't worked 1 hour for similar benefits? Rhetorical question intended, although I'm sure I'll get pounded by those that believe that socialist programs are so great. Probably why they are living here and not their home countries to dodge their own tax man.
I digress from the original topic; however, I still don't recall in all my years of (paid for) education that the government HAS to provide me with healthcare.

I don't see him as racist, the charge is often made against him without evidence. I am willing to change my opinion, convince me.
Ditto. Although there are some great people from Haiti, (I don't know them), I'd surely call that state a heckava hole. Guess I'm racist too. They prob have nice beaches too!

Not sure of your banking status in the US; however, if given the chance and you may look into opening a USAA bank account. They have a deposit at home option which is very simple and in your US account

Mission Hospital is also a possibility that has good service at a very reasonable cost

As has been repeatedly pointed out, the insurance mandate is necessary for this kind of program to work. And in every other country that uses a similar system the mandate exists. ANd the reason for this is simple. If you are going to make it mandatory for insurance companies to cover people with pre-existing conditions then you need to have a large base of healthy people. Otherwise rates will be astronomical. ANd in fact, this is about to happen and all those people with pre-existing conditions are going to be might upset with their insurance bills which owe most of their recent rise to Trump.
And soon it's going to get a lot worse.
I didn't know when it was my duty to pay for insurance to cover others. Just glad the gov't told me to do so; well, not now.

This is the individual some posters celebrate....
First take in the fact that Trump thinks (and is proud of!) the flawed idea that the tax bill sneakily repealed what Republicans were unable to do directly. He thinks he was able to slip it into the bill by not talking about it. And he's proud of the idea -- which is incorrect -- that he tricked everyone. The new bill that passed did not repeal the entire ACA. It ended the individual mandate, that is the government cannot tell me that I must have a government schemed insurance. I feel the government should not tell me, nor even get into the insurance market on a personal level. To fix it, a good start would be to focus on the billions that the insurance companies make; just my humble opinion....and yea, I know it smells.

Just wait. Climate change will undoubtedly increase the temps to make the climate changers happy. I'm just enjoying the cooler temps, I guess I'll blame that on climate change as well.

Most Thai men blow their stacks after 2 seconds so no worries.....short fuses are the reason they cannot have a real argument
and many Thai women begin to spin the conversation in a different direction within 1 second. Typically a normal conversation occurs between two (or more) individuals. The fact of face saving can turn the conversation sideways very quickly with one unintended word.

BS. Trump is a known liar. With a strategy of chaos, and whatever will help him and his family out.
If you remember when he was elected, he refused the intel briefings. Saying he knew more than them. BS.
Sad Trump supporters can't see the truth. Or just don't want to.
So I guess you approve when Clinton and Obama both stated Jerusalem was the capital of Israel.

"Although republicans control both chambers of the US congress, their leaders will likely need to rely on a least some Democratic votes to pass the measure."
Sooooo, Trump and the Republicans control the White House and both houses of Congress and cannot pass a budget measure?
Tremendous! Gee, What a GREAT negotiator! What a TRUE deal-maker.
Way to go, Donnie! The American people gave you the keys to the castle, but you locked yourself out.
And the Dems controlled all branches of power and all we got was the ACA....aka Obama Care....BECAUSE (some) Americans didn't have it and/or couldn't afford it. Years down the line and all we got is higher premiums and the '.....and you can keep your doctor....' It's all nonsense; if you remove the blinders you will see it's monkey see, monkey do by BOTH parties.

That's ridiculous...I have dated a couple of girls here long term, one was a nurse at a hospital who also worked contract hourly on her day off for extra cash and my current GF manages a store for a national chain...you guys want little dollies you get exactly that. Find a girl with an education, ambition and work ethic...believe me...it's worth giving up the little dolly aspect to have a real partner and not a paid companion.
I was serious about the paid vacation bit, but added from what I've heard other's have said to me. take a chill pill

my take, a majority of the women here have been on a paid holiday far too long. It's OUR fault as we have ingrained this into their thinking. It took a long while and several 'conversations' to get past 'all my other friends get salary from boyfriend....' with mine, but it still comes up. A real job to a Thai lady here (with a Western BF) is a loss of face due to all their 'friends' sitting at home getting paid, and/or just looking for the (next) ATM... good luck and hope it works out. The 'can you get a job to help support us' is truly foreign to them as WE are 'supposed' to do all the supporting....in my humble opinion

Mueller's firing: interesting, yes. Understatement.
However, there are still hard core Republicans who could 'delay, delay, delay' (candidate Trump's response, when asked whether Obama and Congress should do their Constitutional duties re; a S.C. Justice nominee).
Let's not underestimate Republicans' ability to employ dirty tricks. They did it to get a Supreme Court justice voted in, when there weren't enough votes. They didn't say a word when Comey was fired. They fully approve Trump sexually preying upon 14 women.
They can delay, deflect, for months. Concurrently, Trump can hide himself away someplace (Mar-A-Lago?) and continue to tweet how great everything is. .....maybe for years.
Replace Trump with any Democrat (without your blinders) and you will see the same same with both parties. By the way, it was the Democrats that made the law to allow the '....employ dirty tricks' to vote in their SCOTUS; so, I guess I'm saying you are ok when the Dems do 'it' but you are totally against when the Repbus do it. Sounds just about right. I wonder when people began to look either to their left or right and not straight ahead.

This is a fascinating and wonderful development!
Based on what I have seen reported in the media, there is no doubt in my mind that Flynn faces some very, very serious legal problems. And as the consensus is that we know (perhaps) 5-10% of what Mueller knows, I think Flynn is looking at some loooooong prison time. And his son is as well...
As a legal strategy, it makes sense for Flynn to cooperate fully to try to mitigate the damage before someone else does, and remember he already offered to cooperate a while back. There are those who think Trump might/should pardon Flynn, but I think the blowback from such an action would be an impeachable offence (a pardon is not allowed if it is in pursuit of covering up another legal matter), and it wouldn't prevent the information from coming out either.
Flynn spent a huge amount of time with Trump during the campaign, and certainly has a VERY long and interesting story to tell. I really look forward to hearing it and seeing the end of that BUFFOON.
Happy Turkey day, Donald
So your assumption could be simply stated as if I do something inappropriate then it was due to my boss. Ok, I see your point but simply do not agree with it.
