Anyone know where a farang pair can get a walk-in Pfizer booster in the Sisaket or Ubon area? My wife and I are several months overdue for shot number 3.

Got bamboo in your yard? Make a quick cut of a section, keeping a closed bottom, then drill a hole for the stem (a half-lengthwise sheet of A4 paper, wrapped tightly around a piece of clothes-hanger wire and taped, then removed from the wire). Cut a piece of stainless steel mesh from a cheap flour sifter and push it about half way down. Use the pipe until it needs cleaning, then throw it out and make another. Quick and easy and draws great with no condensation in the stem.

For the past few years, I've been getting all my meds (generics) from India, at substantial savings. My experience with the following company has been trouble free. Query them for any drug, and they will give you a price: [email protected]

Does all this mean that those of us who were not in the system earlier because we had not left Thailand in many years will now be recognized for online 90-day reporting? -

Same way with Social Security in America. We pay during our working life and get a pension but without an expat penalty. -

Is living in Thailand better health-wise than elsewhere?

For me, it's 40+ hours, door to door, which is why the last time I went back was in 1999. -

But are you pain free? Does the hip work well, even if there is weakness? -

Yes, this is what matters. As usual, Sheryl gets it right. I'm 76, and I'm not sure I want to be hobbled throughout the remaining years, but one's "bounce-back" from major surgery at this age doesn't' have the good bounce it had earlier on. -
If so, how did it go? What was the approximate cost? Sheryl?

So post it and find out.

Ownership of land vs house
oobar replied to NorthernRyland's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Better not to be married, or at least do not register your marriage, although theoretically you could sell the house and split the proceeds, but as you suspect, the lease would likely make it difficult to sell to a third party, unless it was discounted substantially. -
Ownership of land vs house
oobar replied to NorthernRyland's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Look into "Right of Superficies." It's simple. You lease the land for 30 years, stipulating you have the right of superficies. This means you own any structure (and its contents) you build on, under or above the leased land for the entirety of the lease. You can do anything to the house you like, including moving it or tearing it down and selling it as scrap, as long as it is done before the end of the lease, at which time it would become the property of the land owner. Removing the house or not can become a point of negotiation as the lease nears expiration. In any case, you are absolutely protected from actions of others until then. Thirty years gives you a lot of breathing room. If your relationship fails, you still control the land and own the house, so you can live alone or bring in a new gal. Or rent the house out. -
Seems young when you're 76.

Survey Shows Teenagers Favor Unprotected Intercourse on Valentine’s Day
oobar replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Had I been presented with such a survey when I was twelve, I would have checked all the boxes -- drinking, fornicating, oral sex and unprotected sex -- and been dreaming, although getting kicks from filing out the survey itself, the same as the vast majority of these kids did in jacking up such an idiotic survey. The answers are 88.9% baloney. At least.
