Just been onto the website. No facility for English. Tried to register and it only accepts Thai ID card - no option to enter passport ID.
Went to the App. Offers option between Thai and English. Chose English. Took me to ID page - two options. Thai ID or Passport ID. Unfortunately, the option for Passport ID is greyed out and therefore cannot be used. Only option is Thai ID as per the website.
So, in short, no option available for me to register on the app or the website. I will give it a few days to see if the glitch is resolved.
If you have had the COVID jab, you will have a 13 digit reference number on your certificate or the app, shown as "ID card number" . Several people have used that to register as a "thai ID".

But this yellow book is still only for use in Thailand, no?
well, it would not be in English then, would it ? It is for international use, although no doubt some countries may be unwilling to accept it if they don't think the vaccines are effective....ie the Thai AZ is still not accepted in the UK.

You can renew it up to 12 months later, ie Sep 2022, without having to do the full test.

Deep rural Ubon!
Ubon Ratchasima is one of the bigger cities in Thailand, The number of expats you saw there confirms you were at a major hospital in the capital city. They are not getting to the 30,000 or so people who have registered (and been accepted) who are actually in rural areas.
To throw blame at those being overlooked is pathetic!
Did I say that I lived in Muang Ubon ? No.
Was I at the biggest hospital in Ubon ? Yes, but I had to travel there !
I certainly live in a rural area, so I am certainly one of "the 30,000 or so people who have registered (and been accepted) who are actually in rural areas."
The Intervac website worked ok, so if anybody did n't get any acknowledgement it would have been because they did not submit their info properly.

The statistic is quite useless compared to how many appointments this wonderful IT system has created. Here amongst my associates the massive total of zero, nil, nada, zip (maybe because we are in deepest darkest Issan). This I would like to know rather than the usual spin.
Well I am deep in rural Ubon and I got my first dose of Pfizer yesterday, as did many other foreigners. They were sitting us down 12 at a time, jabbing us all then sitting us down to rest for 20 minutes while the passport data was logged down and the next batch of foreigners vaccinated. Plenty more white faces still in the queue when I left so there would have been at least 60 foreigners while I was there who had received appointments ! Perhaps none of your associates managed to fill in the simple form properly, with photos of your passport and visa data ?

Got an SMS last night that I have an appointment in Ubon, at Sappasit Hospital, this afternoon for my shot of Pfizer. Wish they could have done it at my district hospital instead of enduring the city traffic but beggars can’t be choosers !

Here is the full list of cars owned by disgraced Police Colonel Thitisan Uttanaphon which includes Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and nearly 30 other cars. His love of cars wasn’t a secret as his nickname is Joe Ferrari #ผู้กำกับโจ้ #Thailand

Well if he has any sense, he will use the Honda Civc as his getaway car......the Lamborghini might be a bit of a giveaway when trying to stay low.

I have the nagging feeling I may have downloaded a photo of my Retirement visa “but perhaps not the photo of my passport”!
I don’t want to miss this opportunity because of a possible oversight…is there any way to check
OR what would be the ramifications if I reapplied??
If it worked you will receive an email, mine only took about one hour to receive on Sunday. If you don’t get an acknowledgement then reapply...but you may need another email address. A hint if you do try again....select both photos and drag and drop both at same time, it won’t let you add files one by one.

That was added after somebody pointed out the omission on their Facebook page.

You think wrong .....but that’s what happens when you rely on carrier pigeons and the bamboo telegraph for your info. ????

What about those who do not have a smart phone and more so those who do not know how to use use one. So No phone No vaccine
Well, they wouldn’t have read the announcement so they won’t know what they are missing....ignorance is bliss. But seriously, who neither owns a smart phone, laptop or tablet, nor has family members without one ?

Can a Thai wife register using there foreign passport.?
The first question is to select the type of foreigner ....migrant worker, or on a non O visa. So unless she is a naturalised foreigner and here on a non O visa (and why would any Thai do that), the answer would be no.

And as for location will they add a filter that shows 'too far from Bangkok, and only a handful of foreigners' so let's ignore them for now.
I hate being negative but as someone who spent their whole life project managing IT systems, now I just shake my head.
Some of this Pfizer is earmarked as a booster for medical staff so even if there are only a few foreigners in an area it “shouldn’t “ be a problem to add a few more doses when they do your local hospital staff.

The only thing that bothers me is that the website and confirmation emails contained virtually 100% perfect English and everything was logical. You'd almost think (gulp) they consulted a native English speaker.
Never happened before in the history of Thailand - it's almost too good to be true.
Not just the website, but the MFA Facebook page where this was also announced had perfect English too. AND they had somebody promptly answering questions on the Facebook page in the same good English, on a Sunday !

I had that issue too, it would not accept 2 separate files, and frankly I couldn't be bothered creating a 2 page pdf or album single file with both enclosed, so they just got the passport. If they want the 2 items it should be possible to include or download 2 files. Didn't have your other issues though and actually thought things worked quite well at such short time. Let us hope it goes further.....
I had the same problem with two files, so solution is to select both files (hold down ctrl key) and drag and drop both at same time.

I have yet to have this confirmed, but I am told a plane load of wealthy Indonesians chartered their own plane and flew to Australia, they were immediately placed into quarantine, at their own expense, and given FREE inoculations, which was the reason for their journey anyway, their country suffering badly, and vaccine being scarce there.
Or perhaps you have mixed up rumors with the story of the Australian family that chartered their own plane to return from Indonesia? https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-06-30/private-plane-allowed-into-adelaide-with-covid-cases-on-board/100254604

what's wrong here, contradictory information and nobody checked it .... top says if had Sinovac can not enter and below says if had Sinovac can enter, which one is it, the shoes or the feet
No, the government line (at the bottom) is that Sinovac is ok, the top bit was just the doctor's opinion that they should not be allowed in. Just his opinion, not official or contradictory information.

Don’t say anything bad about the locally made AZ version then. You know who owns the company making it !

because you are all strangers. Don't know you, don't care to share that kind of detail with the whole world. Keep it general.
Then why even bring the subject up ? You are quite prepared to claim you are a big spender, but now you want to go all shy. It is a rather crass topic, IMHO.

I will need to get some new photos when I do my visa extension soon, and as I have to use a walking stick at the moment with limited range ( recovering from fractured pelvis, a result of cycling accident) I would prefer not to walk all over a shopping mall in a possibly useless search for photos. I cannot recall seeing any obvious places at Central, Big C, Tesco or Sunnee, not that I hang around malls that much anyway.
So does anybody have a tip about where I can go, with minimal walking ? Anywhere between Immigration and the ring road on the north side of Ubon would be ok.

The depth and size of the footings is going to depend on the soil, but for a two storey house I would say the answer to your question will be “No!”
If you are going to have 5m beams as in your pic, I wouldn’t be skimping on the size or the rebar.

Would I be suspicious if I thought the whole idea of printing this story is to give the owners of this forum another opportunity to advertise Aetna, in the form of a link which looks like it is part of the story, and no doubt get some commission from Aetna.
