Hi,purchased a Proton Persona 2011 factory fitted cng  at auction 5 years ago and its been trouble free cheap motoring so far.Because its dual fuel I get a yearly inspection done on the gas installation when I pay road tax each year at a cost of 500 bht. ,This year it will be 10 years old I know lpg tanks have to be replaced evey 10 years as I also have a LPG  car  Anybody know whats the script with CNG/NVG tanks they are similar to a diving cylinder that has to be hydraulicly tested every few years .I have looked on google and cant find any info on the regulations in thailand in english.

Hi looking for car insurance cover for a 1994 vw vento for gf daughter she 25 and had a full licence for 6 years I asked roojai who my car  is  covered with and they say dont cover vehicles over 20 years old. anybody had any luck getting extra cover for older car ?

most minibus are running on CNG which available everywhere bkk as local taxis run on it, but it is only available in 5 filling stations around outskirts of Pattaya  the range of these vehicles is around 200 km per full tank,so they need to refill each journey at least once

Hi thanks for replys update is.we went to pattaya auto gas on the sukhumvit where he took chassis numbers visually looked at installation and issued a certificate and a sticker for the engine bay bulkhead the cost was 600 bht and took 10 minutes to do ,needed the cert to register and tax car in my name

Hi just purchased a 3 year ojd factory fitted cng car at union auction pattaya before I treck out to the land transport office at regents school I was told I need a certificate each year to say the gas installation is safe. anyone know if this is true and where,how mutch should it cost. thanks

Update they now want 1200 per head for farang to fish and 200bht for Thais ,we walked away when told this it's far to greedy a price !!! We went elsewhere and still had a good day although fish slightly smaller fishing ,beer food and bait for two persons came to a grand total of 850 bht Bye bye pattaya fishing park you have just lost a regular customer!

If driving on thai no plates be prepared to pay a lot of tea money to the police,we visited a few years back and where stopped twice in 15 minutes by snooky police after funds ,apparently tinted window film is illegal in Cambodia??? they wanted money to let us proceed,we paid 20 dollars ,later learnt we should have give 2 dollars by some local friends. If I went again I would be tempted to take front no plate off the car so it not so noticeable that its a thai car, most local cars had no number plates fitted incuding newish looking lexuses

Hi I am in a similar situation to yourself girlfriend been every may for 5+ months . stays at my uk home each summer/autumr for last 5 years.I have just applied for a repeat 2 yr holiday visa for her awaiting resulting outcome. On arrival Manchester last year she was given a right grilling,luckily I was with her and they allowed entry saying she was coming on wrong visa,but there is no other visa! she has always returned before the 6 months time limit is up. I usually return with her to my thai property for 6 months on multi o or multple visit visas as is the case this year

Hi,just found the new location of pattaya fishing park lake, its past Makro on the sukhumvit road heading away from pattaya,turn right at the next traffic lights with temple on corner, soi wat boon (the winchester club is mutch further down same soi) take first road on your right after turnig off suk you will see a white sign saying pattaya fishing park follow signs the lake is located about 600 metres parralel to sukhumvitt road on the jomtien side.prices have gone up a bit now 800 bht to fish with your own rod, mutch cleaner than before a nice set up with about 25 bays with tables all in the shade and a nice breeze blowing through, but we where the only customers,the fish have all been transferred from the old venue and they where hungry we had about 15 catfish to 30kgs in an afternoon

Hi,got a solar hot tank water tank on the house roof plumbed in with a 22mm copper pipe this is braised to a steel fitting that joins onto a ball valve with a handle on it, that has started leaking water.Ive purchased a new ball valve but cant find a 22mm straight compession coupling anywhere in pattaya.I need to cut and rejoin pipe to dissasemble it anyone seen the likes of ? thanks

After 4 days of trying. just managed to open the visa4u site. I was using an easy.com email address which I have used for the last 10 years having sucsessfully got 8 earlier holiday visas with, This year I had to send from easy.com email address to a live.co.uk address to enable me to open girlfriends online account application Many thanks to a thailand uk.com member for suggesting this solution

Hi,have tried unsucessfully to log on to the online application site for the last 3 days ,I get the return registration email but cannot open the link to unlock the site, despite trying different browsers and reregistering with a different email address.anyone else having problems thanks
