Hello, many thanks all for your answer.
Yes I am from a G7 country. Sorry for not saying it before.
But, did I understand well? If I do a go/back to any border (in bus), I should get 60 days with visa exempt entry? Then able to extend 30 days after 60 days spent (so a total of 90 days)?
The fact I am in my 3rd year of ED visa (not ended btw but 90 extension might be problematic), shouldn't mess it up?
Thanks!

Hi
I may have problems getting my 90 days extension for ED visa.
If they refuse to extend, should I be able to do a visa run to get 2 months entry (no need visa if I understood well, just cross boarder), then extend 1 month at immigration?
Can I do this 2 times? Should they give it to me or should they think "why does he comes back as a tourist after being there 3 years as a student"?
is there still the 180 days per years limit so 2 times "2+1" months per year?
Thanks -
The only "solution" that works for everyone is to do repeated tourist visa.
Otherwise one must be working, or married, over 50, etc.
Another possibility not often mentioned is volunteering for an organization that is able to support a work permit and extension of stay.
Hi
Thanks for your answer (and for the others too)
Re repeated tourist visas : I guess after 2 or 3 (2+1 month) visa, they will refuse, which seems logic. Am I wrong?
Thanks.

Hello
I am in my 3rd year of education visa.
It's getting more and more complicate to :
- get the visa outside Thailand
- extend each 90 days
Seems they don't want to give too many ED visa, especially after 2 or 3 years.
What are the other legal solutions to stay here (and hopefully not to go abroad every 90 days...)?
Thanks -
Ok, many thanks, sorry for the confusion ! Good news.

Many thanks for your answer.
Indeed in march I applied outside.
This is my 2nd year.
Hope you are right! will keep you posted. Maybe a confusion by ubonjoe and Poorsucker? Or you are wrong? Or I explained myself badly? Or these new law recent and not clear enough?
Many thanks. -
Hi
Thank you for your replies.
Can you confirm I understood well? I applied ED visa outside Thailand in March. 3 months later (june), I got 90 days extension. Then now, 3 months later, for the second extension, I cannot do it, and must re apply?
Thank you.

Hello
I am on my 2nd year of ED Visa.
I heard from school I may not get the 90 day extension from immigration. I may have to do a new ED visa outside Thailand.
She says it is the new law.. She will try to get the extension, still.
Any more info about this?
Many thanks... -

Starbucks is :
- expensive
- cosy/comfortable
Only worth if you stay long time, talk with a friend, enjoy reading/computer with aircon, in a nice seat...

Hi.
What happens if they "cancel" the 500k card?
Last one was cancelled, what happened?
Those who have it are happy with it, overall? Especially the possibility of staying in Thailand without worries?
Thanks!

Hello
Someone I know may want to apply for the "easy access"
So I'm looking for feedbacks/reviews...!
If I understood well it is 500k for 5 years, no 20k/year, less privileges...
Can you confirm I can stay in the country for 5 years without having to leave? Do I have to go to immigration?
Overall is the application easy, can it be done remotely or only in Bangkok? Do they speak good english if I call them?
Thanks!Edit : removed, found the right topic, will read the 26 pages

Nice, they should also do something for Koh Samui. Even for 50 meters, they charge 200 bahts. Usually they try to get 300-800 for 1-10km...
Nobody EVER using meter here.
I don't ask same prices as Bangkok. But still, something more decent.

Thanks,
Are you sure they offer wifi?

Hello
Do you know larges places such as BigC food court, Tesco, where I can stay a few hours and enjoy wifi?
Not a problem if I have to purchase drinks, food, but I would like a quite good wifi in large place, and ability to stay 2, 3 hours per day...Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback.
Hope you can make some on SET !
For me TOT perfect storm=not capped to volume, but capped to 2Mbits/sec, which is quite enough. But it does not work well - 2Mbits like you
Dtac 3G=wonderful, but limited in volume (but 6, 8Mbits/sec possible)

I had a few Vaio, I liked the design, not the price, but each time after a few months, 1 year, it had a problem, each time.
Not saying it is bad quality but maybe I was unlucky. Even on a 3000usd one, big problem with the fan if I remember well. Customer service was not really helpful.
So even if good no way to buy again from them, too disappointed.
Yes, installed win7 64 bits for the 8Gb ram

Bought it today.
Indeed they did not want to open it to add the RAM...
I insisted and they told to come back later which I did.
Happy they did it because they didn't know how many RAM slots inside, and first RAM card they added was faulty/not compatible.
Anyway they did it very quick, happy.
Mac vs PC :
I think overall Mac is easier/more design/lighter and yes more expensive. But the price is not too much a problem for me, if everyday I have a laptop I like.
But yes PC allows much more tuning, possibilities if you are a advanced user / a bit geek...
Many thanks for your help.
