  1. let's be fair to the investigators, as, they were not there at the crime time, and, evidence was tampered with before they got there,

yes, they have DNA, and, yes, if they can find someone that turns in the the culprits they have something to go on,

we cannot say corruption is at play here, because We also do not know

    what we do know is,

this can be a watershed case of how things can be changed in Thailand, and that is the main thing to come away with here

  2. it is best for people here to take a few steps back and understand

there are real reporters on this case now

we only need to feed them what we know, and let them do their job,

this is what is needed most now, as only a CNN or other like them can apply the international pressure we need

we must all thank the CNN reporters and keep them on this case

  3. People by and large don't realize just how far and how low Thais will go to fabricate a story, save face and save their butts.

It's quite obvious to anyone with any day to day knowledge of Thailand what is going on here; why the BIB said this, why the BIB said that, why the BIB played for time, why the crime scene was fouled, why the junta said whatever, what the headman's ploy was with his reward and alibis, why foreign social media was criticized etc etc ...yawn...

And we are all supposed to act dumb and soak up this nonsense like uneducated serfs living in a bygone age.

What to do? If the Thai authorities cannot face the truth, should this not be raised to an international rather than a domestic issue?

Although this was a great tragedy for the family, does it really rate as one of the world's great crisis that demands international investigation? What about all the Thais who die annually?

    the answer is YES<

this does require international investigation so Thailand will grow up in the world and give people a real investigation and prosecution for ALL crimes in Thailand,

and to stop the mafia and the payoff systems,

do you prefer that Thailand just continue to rape and kill foreigners and then laugh about how stupid we all are for continuing to pay their bribes?

No. I suggest that all human life is equally sacred and nobody deserves special treatment based on their place of origin, religion, gender, age or financial wealth and influence.

The same goes for their death.

I fully appreciate the TV members disgust with this crime, I just do not understand why they think this crime is more special than other violent crimes against Thais which occur. I have even read more than one poster declare that"Thailand must pay" and "Thais must pay", as if these murders were some sort of collective national effort.

    Regards

This is an opportunity to expose the way police handle the murder and rape and brutality that occurs inside their "exotic" kingdom thats why

this can be their Tianneman Square moment

  4. I thought the Police were going to tighten up on these leaks to the Press.

Could make a good defense, a crazy farang killed the couple and then two Asians only assaulted the dead female victim.

That way they are not charged with a brutal murder but still serve time since their DNA was found in the semen they left behind.

Could make a good defense to an audience that wants to believe...

Plus it plays into the Thai prejudice against farang that is only rivaled by the farang prejudice against Thai seen on this TV forum the past 12 days.

OMG you wrote ONLY assaulted the DEAD female victim..

ONLY??? that is a very sick crime, what sort of penalty is fitting for raping a dead body with a mangled head?

When they were looking for Mons son there was a reason, the DNA is a 70% match with Mon which proves it is one of his relatives...

These facts have not been released but are well known by many on Koh Tao..

This was a terrible crime and whoever was involved to any degree needs to be found. Not since Ted Bundy or the Hillside stranglers have such violent rape/murders been seen. The fact that this was committed by a group of men 2 or 3 or more makes it worse. Even the Manson gang didn't resort to rape. Whether rape happened before or after her death is to be seen. But I cannot even imagine the horror of this crime that was committed. It boggles the mind that the BIB apparently spend more time on social media that investigating the murder and have resorted to releasing weekend troll press releases such as this one. With 400 respsonses to this thread in only a few hours id say there getting good.

While the farang crowd on Koh Tao seem to want it to just go away have they considered that if or when this happens again that the crime may be pinned on them? That they may be suicided in the woods or blamed for someone elses crime? Its clear that the BIB can do whatever they want in this case and others. Time to go bed early, keep all receipts, wave and smile at all cctv to establish where you were and when, and flush all cigarette butts down the toilet. Or heck just go somewhere else for vacation. is it really worth it?

Sadly this is not true. Whilst rape and murders with this level of brutality are indeed rare, they are not as rare as most people believe they are. The extent of violence inflicted on a rape/murder victim is rarely reported in any real detail and that is why, when we do hear of these cases, we are shocked at how terrible these attacks can be.

Think about the reporting about this case, if you only knew what was reported in mainstream media, would you be aware of the level of brutality inflicted on Hannah?

When you delve deeper into case files you realise how barbaric some of these attacks really are. I’m not suggesting that Hannah wasn’t subjected to the worst kind of brutality (she clearly was), but the suggestion that this is the worst since Bundy is just not accurate all. Sadly I could probably easily name 100+ victims of such extreme violence and rape off the top of my head. I only know a small fraction of course. One thing we have learned from this type of crime is that if the perpetrator is not found, they will do it again in one form or another. That cannot be allowed to happen.

very unlikely that this was their first raping

very unlikely that this was their first killing,

with the new facebook page and the link to the CNN reporters twitter feed,

it is very unlikely that they will be forgotten,

and even more likely that the pressure will now seriously begin on the Thai government

I have also contacted Steve Forbes

  5. I have made this case and the facebook page for the two brutally murdered young people from England, who were murdrered by ghosts after being raped by aliens

There is a facebook page for Thai ex pats with 24,000 members,

I just informed them, as well as Steve Forbes who is on my twitter feed and who is organizing an awards banquet in Bangkok

he just met w the Thai rep in NY last week

  7. I have not seen this story on CNN or BBC TV.

I watch a lot of news, but maybe I missed it on TV.

I think it would make an interesting story.

    http://www.cnn.com/2014/09/17/world/asia/thailand-british-tourist-deaths-tribute/

    FINALLY!,

    we got it to CNN

that is just what was needed to keep this going,

the reporter on the story MUST be kept pinged on Twitter,

they also put a link to the 13 year old girl who was raped and then thrown from a train,

    Thailand,

    the old days are over,

time to get rid of all the old police and make this a real military takeover

  8. But the DNA??

So the female victim is raped by two Asian men, and this mysterious farang comes along and kills her and David??

Please, please Thai police keep your mouths shut!!

there must be some weird ***** going on on that island, sounds to me that they are now insinuating that the semen did not belong to the murderers and the sexual activity either happened before or after the murders

yup. I smell the same rat coming,

the rapists will now be coming forward, as, consensual sex, just a big party, and, they left her with David

they are going to claim David killed her, and, they dont know who killed David
