Wouldnt want to be a black guy in thailand, would be like walking around with criminal tattoo on your forehead.  A task force especially for blacks even the name black eagle smells of racism.

Never seen a black Eagle?  Can't wait to play the race card I see.  Who gives a toss what colour they are, if they're here illegally, then round them up, get a conviction and turf them out.  But then given past posts it wouldn't matter what colour they were you have a card for each race don't you?  Give it a break, crims are crims no matter where they're from.  Why are you trying to turn them into victims?  Very strange.:wai:

This is outrageous!!! If someone is given temporary refugee status by the UNHCR, and documents to prove this, then Thailand should respect this and allow these people to live freely, whilst further investigations take place. Surely, these people have suffered enough persecution in their own countries without being further punished, or even returned to face certain death in their home countries! At the moment, we can speak relatively freely here in Thailand. If we were not, then we are lucky enough to be able to return to our own countries where freedom of speech and religious beliefs are allowed. Refugees don't have this option! Show some compassion.

Not another do-gooder. So it's OK for them to come here, overstay, then if detected and detained you are quite happy for the government and citizens, through their taxes, to fork out and keep them in gthe community.  Now, if it worries you so much, just cough up some of your own dosh, give us your address and we will ensure that at least four or five will take you up on your good will gesture. And don't worry about the vetting, just take the risk like you expect everyone else do do.  But, go ahead and accept what you are told, true believers normally do until it hits the fan.:wai:

  3. And how much would one have to drink to be injurious to their health?  No mention of that because the report is rubbish.  One would have to drink to excess and over a long period of time for this to occur.  OMG,  :shock1: what if he is correct, last night it was a little cool here in Phuttamonthon and I had four drinks to warm up.

That's it, off to the local hospital for the check up, told no, everything is great but that will be 1,000 Baht for all the tests.  Hospital to Dr. Sareaudechaikul, thanks for helping our bottom line.  Why do they allow such a load of old croc to be reported as news?:wai:

  4. I've had the same problem and it was only when I was on the TVF site.  No problems associated with any other site.  You would think they would know and rectify the problem. It got so bad there a few times that I was even unable to make contact with them to advise them of their problem.  It is working OK at the moment and I am a very fast typist.  it is keeping up at the moment.:wai:

Okay, okay, slowly... let me try and get this straight:

Authorities have busted a bunch of guys with criminal records who illegally met in the illegally erected resort of a retired senior police officer who illegally accommodated them there to discuss their illegal plans to log rosewood, which they did by illegally encroaching on the premises of an environmental research station before attempting to remove their illegal loot with an illegal car that they had apparently obtained from an illegal car rental tent so the wood could be illegally smuggled into China where it would be sold illegally to superstitious people.

    Did I miss anything?

Just the word, "allegedly" but otherwise  :wai:

sorry, was thinking in french and not in english....but I'm glad you had your 5 seconds of "glory" in your response that lacked elementary argument.

I am not into the French language but in English, if you had said that drugs can cause disinhibited behaviours then the challenger's statement would be irrelevant, which it still is. I knew what you meant, which it appears he didn't, so no sorry or 5 seconds of fame (glory) as really has no idea of what you were getting at.:wai:

Totally agree with your sentiments. But the problem is, when do you censor and what criteria do you use. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to discuss this as it concerns the moderation of the forums, a topic which is verboten. But in general terms I do not approve of any censorship, which means tolerating the ratbags. You'll just have to suck it up, I'm afraid.

I agree, and do not like censorship either but what I object to is personally degrading remarks leveled at others without rhyme nor reason by anonymous gutless wonders.  Yes, have to put up with it but the ratbags should not be allowed to insult anyone in such a manner.  Despite this being a new world wide norm by uneducated people it does become offensive and a little too much to others who unfortunately read the rubbish.:wai:

There you go jumping to conclusions. How is it you know she is a retired hooker?

Why do we see so many gutter comments on here?  Why does TVF allow this?  It is a remark by someone who is not prepared to think before engaging the keyboard warrior's style in order to make a degrading comment against someone, I doubt, that they know or ever will.  Could it be from one of those rejected?

Is the remark supposed to be funny? I would say not but it does highlight that TVF is allowing the standards to slip with such snipes being allowed.  It along with a few others should be returned to the gutter from whence they came.  I just hope they never experience loneliness, which it appears she is but then maybe they are and the comment highlights the bitterness and lifestyle that some find themselves in. :wai:

lol !  I always met a lot of resistance when bargaining for a double, but that was back in the 70's (and before I met the wife),  times have changed eh?   I don't want to die in any case but I wouldn't mind the peacefulness either.... or exploring other worlds.

Yeah but what I used to do all night now takes me all night to do.:wai:

Amen to that! I'm suddenly 71 and just got the dirt bike of my dreams this year, I run snowmobiles,  chainsaws, road race my corvette, and still work (online telecommuter) the same database programming job for approx 40 yrs. (I started with cp/m os and 300 baud modems )  I've been careful with my diet, managed my weight and the only med I need is a blood pressure pill. Until recently I was never been one to minimize alcohol consumption. I do feel a  significant loss of stamina, strength and libido but can generally keep up with my much more junior friends.

My best advice to those who want to live long is to include deep, controlled breathing exercises along with other exercise. This assumes you can inhale clean air of course ... also quit sugars and processed food sooner rather than later, eat plenty of fruits, greens and fiber. Have annual checkups with bloodwork... many years ago I was 'pre-diabetic' but all is fine now ... also get the fecal occult test for colon polyp detection if you are shy about a colonoscopy.  I never dreamed I'd manage to live as long as I have but I'm so very glad to be around now for my amazing extended Thai family.

Good on you.  It is a must to have good health. I agree with all you say.  I do envy you with your new bike, I rode bikes back home for some 40 years but had to give them up owing to my medical condition,  arthritis, a knee replacement and ankle fusion.

We have to keep active as we enter out twilight years so I walk my dog, twice a day, most days and also try to watch what I eat but like most, I like good food and wine.  Need to loose at least 15 kilos but I cannot do enough exercise to do this. So I am between the devil and the deep blue sea.

Yes the loss of stamina, strength and libido is a worry too but if one has an understanding woman, then they will get by.  I have a complete medical every two years, for everything and so far, so good and I'm only 2 years behind you.

I had diverticulitis about 18 years ago and had a metre of the large colon removed, told I was cured but I have noticed, through x-rays, that a few have returned but was told not to worry. Will be getting a second opinion.  I am concerned as I had an operation here where the doctor was negligent and ruined the sight in one eye.  I don't want any more stuff ups. All I can say is keep up the good work and live a long and fruitful life.:wai:
