Latest news is that club will re-open on/around 23 Feb 2010, possibly sooner if a 'soft opening', in current premises.
I just got an email from the GM this morning saying that the reopening has been delayed by 2-3 weeks, so I guess we should be looking at mid to end of March...

Hi,
I've got a problem with my aircon and it looks like I need a new compressor. Last time I had problems I went to a great little place (Denso?) on Suk soi 93(?), but since then they appear to have moved. Does anyone know where to?
If not, I'm living around the Sathorn/Yenakat area, but any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!

Happy to help, but need a bit more from you..........
12 - 14 friends - how many bedrooms / couples does that equate to?
Would you want a weekend of staff service, or would you tidy / cook / etc yourself?
Do you need internet access, or can you do without it for 48 hours?!
And finally, of course, what's your budget?
Hi,
Looking at 7/8 bedrooms
Staff - please quote with and without
Internet access - same
Budget - not important for now, but willing to pay for quality
Looking for something along the lines of what DLock has mentioned in the post above

Hi,
It's my wife's 30th birthday coming up and I want to get a few friends together for a weekend. We are all Thailand based, thus the short stay. We are looking for something towards the top end of the range, preferably with a nice view etc.
I've approached a couple of companies, but would appreciate it if anyone out there had any recommendations!
Cheers!

Hi,
I bought a Garmin Nuvi from ESRI in Bangkok a couple of years ago. Since then, roads have been built/changed etc. Does anyone know:
1) Whether I would be entitled to a map update?
2) What the cost would be?
3) How often ESRI update their maps? I wouldn't want to pay to download the map only to find that it is the same version I already had...
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers guys - a microfibre cloth did the trick!

Hi,
I recently bought a DSLR and took it on holiday to take some snaps. Unfortunately, being the idiot that I am, I let some of the sun tan lotion on my face get on the LCD screen.
I've tried using a dry cloth and computer cleaning fluid to try and get it off, but it just seems to smear the filmy layer around the screen.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Cheers Gary - can you tell me what the source of the map is? I found a map of the airport link and the extension of the Sukhumvit line, but the stations seem to have different names:

Cheers guys - I'm after a job lot, so will try the place on 48/1...

Hi,
I know this is a strange question, but we are having a themed party at work based around colours, and ours is orange. Does anyone know where you could buy those orange vests that the motosai taxi guys wear? Also would be interested in orange prison jump-suits, but I reckon they could be harder to some by...
Cheers!

Does anyone know if there is a Google Maps layer, or something like that for the new stations?
-
The BTS stations are on Google Maps (maps.google.com).
- Right-click on a station
- Click on “Center map here”
- Near the top right of the screen, click on “Link”
- Copy the text in the field below “Paste link in email or IM” to the clipboard (Ctrl+C)
- Paste the text into a word processor. It will look something like this (coordinates highlighted here by me in red): maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=&ie=UTF8&ll=13.728525,100.534451&spn=0.020574,0.033023&z=16
- The coordinates are after the text “UTF8&ll”

Maestro
Thanks Maestro - I see the existing stations, but I can't see the new ones - am I missing something?
- Right-click on a station

When is the proposed opening of line - anyone?
the new airport link is meant to begin running on 5th December for the King's Birthday.
I believe the Sukhumvit line extension should be early next year.
-
Buy or borrow a GPS with the ESRI map. You can see all the stations.
I have one - this is why I need the coordinates!
I'm talking about the new stations - extension of the Sukhumvit line and the new airport link.
Does the latest ESRI map have these on? If so, do you know if there is any way I could update mine on my satnav without paying ESRI for a new map?

Hi,
I'm looking at getting a new place, and would like to find out how far potential houses/condos are away from the new Sky Train extension or Airport Link stations. Does anyone know where I might be able to find the lats and longs?
Cheers!
Or - does anyone know if there is a site which has them on google maps or the like?

Hi,
I need to get the aircon in my car looked over and maybe a new compressor.
I used to go to the Denso place on Suk Soi 93, but they seem to have moved. I asked the neighbours where, but my Thai wasn't good enough to get the directions correctly.
Does anyone know where they have relocated to? If not, does anyone know anywhere similar where they are not going to charge me the earth for a brand new compressor?
Cheers!
Sorry - just bumping this

Yep - now running the Queen Vic after a stint at Mojos.

I've got to say that I'm getting minimum 3 Meg dowload speeds on my True 4 Meg line - as I say, not bad for 990B. Plus you get free access to all of True's wifi hotspots...
-
True 4 Meg line - 990B per month. They also do up to 8 Meg depending on where you are. Of course, international speeds are less, but this is the same for all providers.

Thanks all for your constructive and helpful replies, especially Bina for the informative PM.
Scorecard, not sure what you are rabbiting on about (tee hee!). As Bina has said, and many others, rabbits are easily trained to use litter trays and are very clean animals. Sounds like you have a problem with dogs in your condo, rather than rabbits in mine - maybe you're addressing the wrong person/thread?
The JP at the condo is currently finding out precisely the chemical used - will post back when I have an answer.
In the mean time, does anyone know of anything that can be applied to furniture/skirting boards etc, which will taste terrible to rabbits, but also be harmless? I was thinking that if there was such a product, an application of this would deter ingestion.
Thanks again!

Hi,
We are considering getting pet rabbits and giving them the run of the house (condo). Every month, the pest control people come round and spray chemicals all around the skirting boards.
Does anyone know if these chemicals will be toxic or harmful in any way to rabbits once they have dried? There is also the worry that after years of being sprayed, the wood will be impregnated by the chemicals, and thus could be a danger if the rabbits were to nibble at it.
Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

Sorry - shamless bump as I still haven't found a suitable teacher...
