Hi,
My wife and I are looking for someone who would be able to tutor us Thai for 2-3 hours per week. We are centrally located in Bangkok (offices in Central World) and want to learn Thai 'properly' - ie reading, writing, grammar etc, not just conversational.
We have lived in Thailand for a few years now and have basic conversational, but it's about time we did it properly. There are lots of adverts out there, but we are looking for someone who could personally recommend their current/former teacher - hopefully someone who is experienced and qualified who will have plenty of teaching materials.
So, any responses will be greatly appreciated - if noone has any recommendations then any advice in general would be great!
Cheers!

Great - thanks for looking into that SBK!
I don't suppose you have a number for them? Can't seem to find any way of contacting them to book a room...
Thanks again!

Hi SBK,
No, still no luck and I can't find anything on the internet. I'm wondering if the land owner took the operation over as a going concern when the 25 year lease ran out while they work out what to do with it. Anything you could find out would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

I haven't paid a visit to KPN for over a year now, and always used to stay at Sea View in Haad Rin. The last time I was there, the manager told me that the lease was up on the land and they wouldn't be able to meet the increased rate. I've just got off the phone with her and she told me that is indeed what has happened.
My Thai is pretty poor to say the least, and I couldn't work out if she was saying that a new operation has replaced it - anyone got any info?
Cheers
A bit more information - it was the last operation actually on the beach at the north end of Sunrise Beach - just before you get to Mellow Mountain...

And that, your tiny Honour, is why I find meself standing in front of you this morning with me drawers round me ankles. Now, if you'll all just calm down and admit your mistake, I'll just bugger off, then, and no harm done. OK?

Hi - I know that LG sells this model in Thailand, but haven't been able to find it so far...
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Cheers!

Ha ha - no worries mate!

Not sure which specific website he uses, but I believe that you should be able to find it if you Google 'sopcast'

It's neither on True Visions nor Super Sports (South African Satellite)...
However, I watched the previous two matches against Carlisle in a bar called Chequers on Suk Soi 4. The landlord hooked up a live internet feed to the TV - the quality is obviously not the best, but you can generally make out what's happening and the commentary is perfect. He will be showing the final on Sunday - come on down!

Does anyone know if the match is being shown on Thai TV? I seem to remember that it was a couple of years ago...
Failing that, does anyone know of a URL to watch it on t'interweb?

OK - thanks guys!
I'm heading down to Pattaya this weekend, so I guess that I should see something along the way? Any ideas of how much I should pay for a bog-standard set of 4?

Wondering whether anyone can help?
I live in Bangkok and I need to get a set of 14" wheel-trims. Anything will do really, as long as they match.
The thing is, I've driven round to loads of wheel and tyre shops, and when I ask about wheel trims, all I get is 'Mai mee...'
Is this because everyone has alloys? I'm confused...
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Dale got stuffed 2-4 at home to Hereford last night. No further comment
It seems to be falling away from them right now MrBJ.....Hereford are the surprise package in L2 this season & just keep running up the wins home & away.
And they knocked Leeds out of the FA Cup...
