He would seem to have indicated he has made 65k transfers for 12 months "I will use the 65,000 a month Income for 12 months" but then his asking "will using Wise" would work seems to indicate he has not done anything yet. We don't even know nationality yet - maybe he could get a Consulate letter of income. Suspect using agent again might be best course and the next year (with 12 month financials) start income method. But we are blind without further information.
Yes, I will use Agency an again this time, and will use the 12 months of monthly of deposits for the next extension, to avoid the agency fees each year. If Wise is not an issue with the proof of transfers, can I do it myself for the next extension, without leaving the country to obtain another visa.
I am currently, on Retirement non-O extension, expires End of October 2023.
Thanks

What status do you currently have in Thailand
Do you plan to apply for non O visa in Thailand?
Does you embassy provide income letter?
Monthly transfers need to come from abroad.
I currently have non-0 visa based on retirement. (used an agency before), but I can meet the 65,000 monthly income requirement.
Yes, Apply for a non-o Visa again in Thailand
No, will not have letter from embassy for proof, just the 12 months deposit showing on my bank statement.

I am looking at applying for the Retirement Visa-O visa (Currently living in Thailand).
I will use the 65,000 a month Income for 12 months, my monthly income will be paid into Thailand via Wise account.
Is this an issue ? does the monthly transfers need to show that the income transfer came from an actual overseas bank account ?

Surely only if they are able to confirm they are also resident in the UK.Some years ago l stopped having my pensions paid to my Thai bank and reverted to my UK bank, I was specifically asked if l was now resident in the UK, which l wasn’t.
Did you have to provide any proof that you are a resident in UK ?

I am looking at renting a condo in the Jomtien area in about 5 months time.
Looking at size about 30 sqm, just for myself, budget between 6,000 to 8,000 per month.
Any recommendations for a nice condo in the Jomtien area, ideally with a nice view.
Thanks

Prices are very reasonable.

Blue / yellow book has nothing to do with house ownership, it is an address verification.
You can not get an already built house registered in your name, you had to do that before you started building, by getting the building license in your name.
Yes you legally can get a yellow book, since it is only a verification that you reside at that address, but as others already have explained, it all depends on the person behind the desk at the Amphur.
Edit : I see you moved and are renting in BKK, so your landlord will have to agree that you get a yellow book.
You will not get a yellow book for the other house, since you don't live there
Thank you for this info

Thanks for the replies,
Are there any advantageous for having the Yellow Book and Pink ID card for living in Thailand ?

Is Pfizer second dose still recommended? the adverse reactions seemed to be from 2nd dose. I've had 5 vaccines already so I'm not anti-vax
The same, this will be my 5th vaccine shot. so far, 2 x Pfizer, followed by 2 x Moderna. Hopefully 5 be the last, until the new Generation of vaccines come out.
-
Anyone know where you can get a Vaccine Shot in Pattaya ?
I previously went to BPH for my previous 2 x booster shots but they have no more Moderna available now.
Thanks

Any suggestions where to get a reliable health check you need over 65 for Pacific Cross? I was going to get insurance with them 4 years ago but the health check threw up so many problems that would be considered pre existing conditions that I did not bother. Going home and having the same tests a little later showed up nothing concerning at all
For a full Health Check-up, any private hospitals can do this, you pay for the tests and for Doctors consulation, prices vary depending on the Hospital. If you just want basic blood tests, I often go to a clinic, I pay about 250 baht, anything not abnormal on the report, I then book appointment to see a doctor.
Any pre-existing conditions, yes, will need to declare them with Pacific Cross, cover will not include pre-existing conditions, so that is something to think about.

Congratulations on your retirement.
Regarding Health Insurance, I am with Pacific Cross, can renew up-to 99 years old.
You can check the prices for your age, might be expensive, or like others have said, self insure.

Same here, send money to my wife’s account to help with funeral of her father who died this morning and first (I send it at 8:30am) it said it would arrive at 11:00am, but that went and gone, so I thought 2pm it would arrive, nope it finally arrived around 10mins ago so it took around 12hrs.
Mine has also just arrived, some kinda of Delay with the Banks, 1st time this has happened.

It's happened before, they like to deliver a quick service and they usually do, but they do not guarantee it.

I often transfer USD to my Thai Bank Account, about 4 times a month, and the transfer is usually is processed in seconds.
For some reason today I got the following message:
Anyone else having or had issues with using Wise lately ?

My UK driving Licence expired and I also have a Thai Driving Licence. I renewed my UK Driving Licence online, using my parents UK address to get the card delivered.
I believe you can use your Thai Driving Licence, overseas, UK for sure, don't know about other countries.
I guess it depends on your home country, but it might be useful to renew if you can.

Is it necessary to get a 5th dosage of the covid-19 vaccine ? It appears most are on either 3 or 4 doses.
How many vaccine doses have you had ?
Will it do more harm than good by having endless booster shots, every 3 - 6 months ?
What are your thoughts ?

Hi, I assume that you have some sort of insurance that can be used to satisfy immigration upon your return, for insurance is still required. if, your'e of an age whereby you can't get an insurance in Thailand, have you been able to solve the no insurance issue sufficient to let you get back in with your O-visa and re-entry permit?
I am on a NON-0 retirement visa not a Non 0A Visa, so Insurance proof is not required as I understand with a Non-O Retirement Visa. Insurance for Non-OA visa only.
Retirement Visa using the 65,000 Income method ?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Both questions are No,
I plan to have 12 months deposits transferred each month as proof for the next extension.
I am looking at obtaining another Retirement non-O extension but based on the 12 month deposits and not using an agency for next year, as I want to avoid agency fees each year.
Can this be done without leaving Thailand ?
