Like all things its a risk I assume the scan is to look for illegal drugs, weapons etc not to see if the description fits the contents, as most of this is done by robotic scanners

I am aware of where it is and do not require Geography lesson, I specifically stated north Jomtien beach, and mentioned Dongtan for those who are geographically limited. I also mentioned that it would be good to be within 30 minutes walk why is it not possible to ask a simple and accurate question without someone trying to make you look dumb?
-
Out of interest where do you think Jomtien beach (as quoted) starts?
-
That could be included yes, but I was rather hoping that someone already knew one, as from the outside they all look similar so personal experience is good
-
just moved to the northern end of Jomtien beach, I am looking for recommendations for Thai steam fish restaurants on the northern side up to Dongtan, up to 30 minutes walk is fine. I can find plenty in the south (Nah Jomtien) but not so much in the north looking for something in walking distance

I told him at the time to use an agent but he didn't, his loss. Agents can negotiate for you so you have less risk of denial He is now talking to an agent to see what can be done, you never know they might decide to change their minds, if not then he will go through another visa type
-
He applied directly without an agent and as refused on the immigration check during the application process as of yet he has had no refund but has been told he will be These are the current qualifications The applicant for a Thai Elite Visa must meet and maintain the following qualifications: Holder of a foreign passport Being allowed to stay in Thailand in accordance with the immigration laws, which means the applicant has no overstay record in Thailand No age limit is required for this program. Not having been sentenced by a judgment to imprisonment in any country except for an offense committed to negligence Not having been adjudicated bankrupt Not having been declared as a person of unsound mind, incompetence, or quasi-incompetence Seems to have changed sometime recently
-
I know someone who was recently refused an Elite visa, apparently a change was made recently blocking anyone with a previous overstay, before it stated that if the overstay was more than 3 years ago it was OK. He overstayed 15 years ago but was refused based on this rule change

I am not and never have been on the back foot regarding this topic and tire of hearing drug users compare themselves and their addictions to angelic cool hip people when compared to alcohol users after 40 years as a doctor and seeing thousands of lives ruined by drugs and alcohol i see no winner in this, maybe you should go see the misery created first hand, it might wake you up -

The important words in my statement are "not totally true" as opposed to "totally untrue" my experience is that in small doses drugs and alcohol are fine. Unfortunately people too easily move on from small doses. The drug of choice is not always the problem its peoples lack of will power the original words were "People should realise that alcohol is a FAR more dangerous "drug" so saying that druggies are better people than alcoholics, there is no winner in addiction first read then comment 🙂 -

Not totally true, MJ can cause cognitive disorder, lower IQ, poor judgement and spatial, distance awareness. The police now test for drugs due to issues caused by MJ use. Lets not forget also Psychosis as a possible side effect Best is not to drink alcohol or take drugs -

1. People who are not ignorant (for those of you who don't understand ignorance is an attitude not an educational level) 2. People whose parents taught them right from wrong and retained these values 3. People who can control themselves when provoked 4. Swiss people who don't kick doctors sitting on their garden steps -
If only you did I would happily agree, unfortunately you didn't and never will People like you make me wonder if we should raise the kindergarten leaving age , or add a maturity exam to school syllabuses

I agree, you are very disagreeable
