Trust me, i'll do (Very much with Udon), I'm going to land of my favorite food "ahaan Isaarn" and Speak thai pretty good my friend.
I fear that someone called BKKDude isn't going to enjoy Ubon
-
Khonkean no good, maaaai deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Hahahhaaaaa ;^)
What is your point?
-
You need some serious help, really!
Don't worry about him, I realize when someone just learns some new eng words day before..why not utilize it !!!!

Thank sezze, i find your post very precise, so time being Surin goes out of my list, may be Ubon i will give it a go this time after little check, seems to be closest to what i am looking for....
I will welcome more comments on Ubon or any other places in Isaan for mid aged guy like me...Thx
I very familiar with Udon , so i can try to comment on a few things .
Surin , been there once . Not even anything close to Udon . Very small city centre , 1 street with a few karaokes , 1 disco and 1 tabledance thing . Rest of the town is nearly completely death at night .Daytime is also not much to do , think of it as a large size village and certainly not a city . .
The other towns mentioned , cannot comment as i have no info over them . I heard from my GF that Nong Khai is pretty big these days .
There is no reason not to like the village live regarding your age . If it is for going out , yes cities are certainly a lot busier and have lot's more on offer . If you can speak a bit of Thai i would recommend a bit of driving around in the villages . It is daytime stuff , but you wake up earlier so it levels out .

Udon has perfect city stracture where everything within reach from Shopping plaza, nightlife, resturant and plenty of hotels all in walking distance of city center, as opposed to khoenkhen where everything is spreaded out all over the place. I found udon thani very alive where local stay out at late night and has massive night market (biggest in thailand).
I booked already for a week in udonthani in NOV, but taking another week off in Oct, was thinking of UBON, KORAT, SURIN, or any other recommandation, i don't want be in a village enviroment, as i'm in late 30s only. Thx

aFARANG, you just nailed it with your answer, that what i was exactly after...i had the feeling that there should be a privatly owned transport that caters to people outside regualr hours....YeeePeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...By thw way thanks other for trying to be helpfull
just found this.
Sorry ,but I suspect this timetable is ONLY for The Transport Company ( 99 and 999 buses)It appears to have no listings for ANY of the private operators. Just one example - there over 70 V.I.P.services daily to Khon Kaen from Mochit. None are listed. Nakhonchai Air has about 32 V.I.P.departures , both ends daily. The O.P. may be interested ,Nakhonchai s last service to K.K., departs Mochit at 00.30. .If he cannot find a direct service to Udon at that time, an option is to go to K.K. ,and then catch a bus from K.K. to Udon, upon arrival at K.K.. You can try phoning 02936 0009 for more information

sorry, wrong post from me, i arraive from Hadyai 22:45PM (not 12:45 PM, so by the time i check out from airport 23:45PM), is there a bus bus from mochit to Udon around mid night, any time table?
Can't see why you'd have to wait 24 hours Nok have flights at 17.00 & 19.00 from Don Meung TG have a 13.55 & an 18.05 from Swampy. On the 1st Nok's evening Flights leave at 18.35 & 20.35 & TG have flights at 15.40 & 19.55.
But if you want to spend 10 hours on a train head to Hua Lampong or you can catch a bus from the northern bus Terminal @ Mo Chit

I am arriving from Had yai at 12:45 Pm, is there a way to go directly to Udon thani by land transport? I don't want to wait until morning to catch another from from Bkk-Udon. Is it possible?

Believe an iranian national can only apply in his own country/country of residence.
See for example:
http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/newversion/visa/visa_ni.html
Applicants who are nationals of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt and Palestinian State
Passport holders of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt and Palestinian States are requested to file an application at the Thai Embassy/Consulate-General where they have their permanent residence.
I'm sure he can get single 3 month Non-img B from thai Embassy in tehran, but i was told even he get work permit in thailand, he can't get it renewed at malaysia?!! Is this true?
-
Hi,
I would like to know if iranian citizen coming to thailand on 3 month validity (2 month max stay) tourist visa, can he get
3 month or 1 year Non-imgrant B visa ( we as scuba diving company based in phuket, can provide him all supporting documents ) to work for us? Last resort is to apply from Thai embassy in tehran Iran. Thank you
