His family had to have papers from the court in his home country translated into Thai and then in to court in Thailand and where the case is still after 4.5 years. And a think the money are gone forever, only hime have acces to the account.

The paper from the embassy show the income Before Tax
the Bank after Tax there is a big difference.
You live here very long time you married a Thai and take care the family
But you have NO RIGHT what so ever and they still make it even more difficult
for us to stay here I probably spend 8-900000 a year here the most time but now when I get older the money is not to great now, and the Bath is too damn strong
I lose about 30000thb/month compare from the first time I come her
Not to nice of you Thailand!
Is`s time fore your wife and all wife/husband to wake, soon the all money are gone. No one pay food, rent, gass, school money to children+++ so start to complain to the Head Office of Immigration in Bangkok.

Unsure if this article/interview really clarifies rules
Reading it, it looks like those who still use an embassy's income letter
now need to show "bankbook records proving this income already being received [in a Thai bank]" ??
No one need Embassy/Consulate letter no more in Phuket, that what Phuket Immigration says.
If u are from Norway or Sweden they also have to show bank account even though have have a pension letter (State pensjon). What going to happen is that these consulates will be closed down.

In Phuket it does not hold and have 800 / 400k in the bank, you also have to prove that you spend money every month.

Everyone in this forum + thai wife/husband should send a E-Mail to Immigration in Bangkok (Big Joke) and ask why they make it soooo difficult for 10,000++ thai families in Thailand. Nothing happens until there are many complaints.+ thai wife / husband

So let's get this straight. If your Embassy will still issue a letter you must go there. If your Embassy WILL NOT issue a letter, your bank and the IO do it.
They will, If you have pension in Norway the Embassy or Consulate in Thailand make the pension letter.

Somebody needs to show them the amendment to the police order that was sent out to all offices last month.
They got it from more than one customers, but this Office are running their own rules as always. They have something and learn from 7/11 where the same laws and rules in all the stores.

For an extension of stay for retirement it is B 800,000; for an extension of stay for marriage, it is B 400,000.
It should have been the other way 1-person (400K) costs less then 2 people.(800K)

" Ubonjoe" If one have the statement from like Norwegians Ambassade you have pensjon every month, must this person show money in the Thai bank every month.

Thais use the app Air4Thai.
Air quality is sometimes much better in Air4Thai.
AQI that is an international index do not lie, as the Thailand uses they dress at the numbers.

Your wife can act as a reference and her house book and ID can prove your residence although the yellow book does the same thing.
Best to go to one of the main branches to get the account opened.

That is not clear as of now.
You should start transferring them into a Thai bank now. Immigration should be flexible this year since the new requirements have already gone into effect as of the date the amendment was issued.
You can not transferring any money if you don't have a bank account, still in phuket no one can open a bank account if they don't have B-visa whit work permit soon every bank in Thailand, they are scared about black money drug money ++++.

I am not sure that is correct info. Perhaps your personal experience.
There is no written requirement on any bank website I have seen that states it is mandatory.
Its not my experience a have a 3 bank account for 14 years so ok for me, but new people some want open a bank account problem. You think one Thai can go to like europe/ Scandinavien and open a bank account can not.

I have the 800k, but??

When you die, they still have to go through the court in Thailand if there are money in the bank. What can help or make the matter easier is to write a will here in Thailand through a lawyer you can trust, and they are not that many of them, but you probably have one (but still court).
