  1. I've seen it before once in Pattaya, like now I would stay out of it. I might get closer to discourage the guy but would not stare him down. Now if he was spanking her I might get closer and she was going along with it,:) but I think it might be best to stay out of it.

  2. Sad very sad.

I made a bus trip to Mai Sai last week. Across the isle sat two cute Thai ladies. They giggled at me as I put

on my seat belt. I just smiled. I looked around and NO one had a seat belt on.

I know seat belts are not going to save everyone but I wonder how many had their belt on during this deadly crash and how many it MIGHT have saved if they would have been buckled up?

  3. Something strange about this.....He was in heaven while acting....he was here to act....hung himself...why not do it back at his home.. just strange...

I love watching him do his best not to fight...then the last resort he would fight and beat up 6 cowboys, so cool, RIP David....

  4. ATM and the B150

To get my B150 worth I withdrew B20000 instead of B10000 today What is the most one has withdrawen

from a ATM here in Thailand? ...My limit is $1000 in the USA so my try next time, B25000.... Anything to reduce the sting.

    Thanks...

  5. Thinks we buy, veggies, and meals out are costing us less. Our rent went down, we moved last month. We ride our bicycle more use less gasoline.....lots of things are getting cheaper for "us"....

  6. "Coder is right about the tax deduction myth. I can't remember why but my tax preparer this year said I couldn't claim it. I had him prove it to me but I was so flustered by then I didn't make a copy of the reference."

This is so true. Like my post above, my work mates tell me how much I am going to miss my tax deduction on my income tax, they would rather make payments on a home then have one paid off. If this was the case then why I tell them do you want a low interest rate on you mortage payment, you might as well get a 10% loan on you house so you have even a larger tax deduction. :o I'll take a house free and clear anyday. Better for me anyway, when it come to investing I suck.

  7. "Johpa ol buddy it used to be Mae khong but it aint anymore (that used to be old dinosaur days of the Pig Pen / Cottage). Now I'm a lot older & (less?) "wiser" but a Jameson's man. The hours of business are still the same = I'm a night time kinda guy, although a lot of that has to do with the girlfriend singer keeping me up & out late.

Currently the N-W inside of the gate would seem to be the most bent, but it does vary from month to month.

None of this however detracts from the fact that the road around the outside of the moat is not square, or the fact that I still can ride a motorbike in a straight line (most nights.)

Now after a more intense checking of my Cnx GPS tracks I note that the road around the inside of the moat is pretty much 1.6 kms wide / long all the way around. And yes this means it could indeed be square! This measurement would also appear to be taken at ground level & not from a few hundred kilometers above the earth, where a few mms out could be meters or even kms out, so I reckon it might be alright.

<deleted> life in Cnx really is boring at times, so tomorrow off to Laos & GPSing some more of the countryside……..no need for google earth on your motorbike. I just hope I can see the right tracks...."

The GT king has spoking... I feel honerd to have you respond since i am the OP.

Can not wait some day to ride along with you on one of your "loops" . Ride a 1150 RT daily. Not sure what i will get in LOS..African Twin? Can't wait.....

  8. "Sorry this is stepping a bit off topic, but some fallacies here could not be ignored.

    QUOTE

Yes, House Taxes. High as heck here in California.

California has very low property taxes at just 1.1%. Some states are 3% or higher. It would be interesting to see how much the average person spends in property taxes by state; I doubt California would be the top even with its high housing prices."

You are not stepping on this topic at all, and are most welcome.

I guess I had it better then I thought, thanks. I still will not miss paying them this November even if they were a bargin compared to other States.

  9. "The best part is:

    No tenant problems.

    No realestate agent problems.

    No repair problems.

    No tenant vacancy problems.

    No council rates to pay.

    No realestate commissions to pay.

    No insurance policies to pay.

    Have I left any out?"

Yes, House Taxes. High as heck here in California.

We sold our house in May this year. So happy we did. My co-workers say "MP you sure are going to miss your house when it comes tax time becuase you will not have the interest on the payment to deduct", this may be true but I love what i read from a poster here...SEEL HIGH RENT LOW.....
