  1. Sorry to all & Thanks: HIFI System....And maybe some help with a specific model / component system was meant. Thank you. :jap: Able to listen to good music and watch the occasional movie.

  2. You don't say where in Thailand you are, but in Pattaya, Powerbuy in Central have some seriously nice high end (and high cost) equipment...

    Hi Phil

I am in Pattaya. Will check it out. Thanks.

  3. Please, can anybody recommend a powerful WIFI system with big speakers for my large living room. I listen to music mainly, but would want to use as Movie Theater too.

Can not run cables for 5.1. Surround. Now using Sharp Front surround, but not happy with sound, listening to music.

I hope anybody out there can point me in the right direction. Could not find anything at Numchai or other stores. Thank you!

  4. Just below Carrefour, Kh. Suvit. Very fair and reliable contractor. No need to bargain, his prices always correct. Just say hello from Michael, he will take good care of you. Suvit: 081 683 38 61, best call first. He will come and measure personally and do a good and quick job. Good luck.

  5. I and probably anyone but you can see from a mile that a government official is coming wearing that black uniform jacket with the government logo embroidered on the top left side..

Edit to add : I think on the other side of the jacket is even his name and function embroidered.

What pictures are you looking at?

The mayors own words that he turned up in "civics" (civillian clothes),

City hall official clothes are light beige in colour with many stripes, badges and other adornments, not black.

What would you think about this picture 198737_193350404021036_121351537887590_531397_1878101_n.jpg

Quite clearly civillian clothes and not official city hall uniform, i thought you were looking at another picture somwhere with him in uniform.

Another scam with 3 Indians going on just now....Su morning 10.45 opp. Mike Shopping. The same gang. Shame on Pattaya. Poor tourists.

  6. I always wonder what Thailand has to offer to quality tourists? Maybe cheap golf? But then, usually unfriendly, arrogant and ignorant staff in most places. Overpricing and tons of scams. Disgustingly dirty beaches, with very few exceptions. Terrible and very aggressive traffic.

:jap: My quality" friends prefer the Caribbean, The US, Australia, South-Africa, France and other places.

  7. I see quite the opposite. The huge condotel where I live is still fully booked. So where many of the most popular hotels where I was trying to get rooms for some friends last week. The beaches are still very busy. And yes, the place is changing. 5 yrs. ago European couples were an exception. Today they are more like the rule. Definitely missing this years the hoards of Soi Boaukao "classy, tattooed, bare-belly" no nation mentioned. Just go have a look and see for yourself. Also Russians and Indians, Pakistanis everywhere.

  8. And I am sure all the Pattaya-Cheap Charlies also expect the beach/vendors to replace sun-beds, mattresses and umbrellas yearly, preferably 5***** resort quality.

What has paying the correct price got to do with being a "Pattaya Cheap Charlie"? Reminder: This thread is about a person being charged 50 baht for a 30 baht chair.

    Hi Tropo

You are right off course. :jap:

  9. And I am sure all the Pattaya-Cheap Charlies also expect the beach/vendors to replace sun-beds, mattresses and umbrellas yearly, preferably 5***** resort quality.

And off course if they already spent 20 Baht on a mineral water - they could get across the street for 9 Baht @ 7/11 - at least a couple of chairs and umbrellas should be included, maybe also a free massage. After all, these vendors get bloody rich of the water sales already. This place is hilarious!

:cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

  10. Hi- Any experts with ideas? I need to get WIFI access to a 9 story building, 20 m wide. This needs to be done from the outside via WIFI access points, that projects/transmits the signal to the condos/windows.

The problem is that we only have about 8 m distance from the building to install these transmitters. It was no problem in the front where we installed about 30m from the building and the angle/signal covers all floors easily.

Is there any special product/antenna with a very wide angle to get all the way to the 9th. floor? Any ideas? Thank you.
