I arrived BKk with a 90 day return flight booked? I was under the impression that arriving on a Tourist visa exemption for 45 days and being able to get a further 45 day extension as this would be within the new March deadline extending visa exemption from 30 to 45 days.. I applied for the extension last week and I received just 30 days at Surin IO.. After querying this at the IO they confirmed that the 45 day rule does not apply to Extensions. This would mean a border bounce and a further payment. I presume I can enter again on a visa exempt but what duration would it be and would I be able to obtain another 30 extension. How many times can I do this? My airline ticket allows me to alter my return flight only once for a fee. Hence the need to know definitive dates for appropriate action. Anyone advise please!

there is a Primary school across the road from the house i lived in from 2007 to 2021. they were 10-year-olds with younger passengers. sometimes with as many as 5 kids arriving and parking their bikes just out of the school grounds. i have seen the same kids after school going into town and watched Royal Plod stopping them and querying their lack of helmets. is there a consortium or club that enjoys membership of Plod and Motorbike accessory retailers.

Two decades ago, the island of Koh Chang was also a charming, beautiful island. Has the influx of increased tourists really improved the natural beauty of the island? A bridge being built to access the island from the mainland will accelerate the decline of this nature reserve, and lead to over exploitation of the island's limited resources. What is being done to limit this commercial greed?

With TAT providing increased publicity I am sure the island will need more than Good Luck when the "dirty tourists" arrive in droves!

I am in the UK planning a 6 month trip commencing in December. I need to get an METV from the Embassy in London. I asked the Embassy for advice , they have not responded. Has anyone been successful in obtaining a 6 month METV from this Embassy? If so, please advise.

The required conditions to comply with the Evisa application is more than a "kerfuffle", I gave up trying. If only the Thai Foreign Ministry and the Tourism and Sport Ministry began to agree the requirements necessary to fulfil their objectives and satisfy the Treasury! IF ONLY!

Koh Chang has for decades experienced landslides, bridges collapsing, streets flooding. Sandfly on the beach swarming, mosquito s infesting resorts situated away from the beach. It is not surprising that the island has a very short high season. BUT, I still want to return, it has a charm unique and relaxing. Best wishes Koh Chang for the upcoming high season and beyond.

TM this TM that. how many different TM's are there and what do each enable when authorised? I do wonder how newbies to Thaiiland cope with all the acronyms and various Forms required to ensure ones legal position. Then there is also mention of various coloured books, blue, yuellow, have I missed any?

During the last 18 months I have flown from the UK with Emirates and Qatar Air. I have never been asked to show onward flight.
