  1. Ill tell you something

After visiting Hong Kong i seriously missed the street stalls that can be found just about everywhere in Thailand. Yes walking around does require more dodging and a few minutes more time, but its also convenient to not have to walk half a mile to buy some sausages, some sticky rice or a drink of fresh fruit juice. I think moderation is the key!

  2. i always keep mine in a biscuit tin for when i go home or abroad once every year or so. Always comes in useful if i need use a pay phone or pay for those ridiculously expensive trolleys in British airports, the ones that should be free!

  3. im sorry but i find Thais the most disfuntional when it comes to work.
In my office alone they come to work late everyday, take sick days and have all sorts of excuses for not working . They then quit when they get reprimanded.
Its not an unemployement problem Thailand has - Its a problem with thais under employment.
Personally i cant wait until the ASEAN countries swoop in because id love to fill the office up with some normal people with good education and work ethics.

  4. First things first - go with her to a different hospital and get verification that what she is saying is actually true.
If its early there is still a chance, and never trust a Thai doctor - i have lost 2 friends from misdiagnosis.

The last time they went to a hospital they were told they didnt have cancer and just had kidney stones, how relieved we all were!
Then a few months ago he went back for another check up and we were told, you have stage 3 cancer and 3 months to live. unbelievable!
