I think cannabis was banned in the late 1970's when it became popular with US navy, R&R in Pattaya and when Thailand introduced the Narcotics Act 2522 (1979) and the Psychotropic Substances Act 2518 (1975). These men and women walking for cannabis today will remember the day's when it was legal. Just imagine smoking a big fat Thai stick blunt. I found a video that shows you how they used to make them. Here it is, and if anyone else has video of the history of Thai Marijuana I'd love to see it. It's a forgotten culture that only the hill tribes of Thailand carry on today.

In my opinion it should be dropped back into the ocean as a memorial to those who lost their lives on it. Eventually it would become an artificial reef for tropical fish other sea creatures.

2002 for a holiday and returned 2003 for good. Still love Los but it has got way too expensive. Looking to move maybe to a neighbouring country where the cost of living is cheaper. Thinking China.

I like that he is strong on the marijana liberalisation. In the position he is now he can push it through. Those 2 parties are now in a great position to get what they want. The others just have to bow to their wishes. That is how coalitions work.
Let's hope. I wouldn't care who was PM if they legalized marijuana. It's so heart breaking to watch the hundreds of videos and tv shows with dope being smoking. You know the type people smoking dabs, bongs, big fat joints and your sat there "gosh, I used to do that back in my home country" your mouth drewling. -
If my wife left me I'd leave tomorrow. Although I enjoy living here very much it is getting a lot more expensive compared to neighbouring countries. I really am thinking of trying China instead. I'm becoming more and more fascinated in China and it's people.

They obviously know little about the potential big money they could be making in Thailand if they legalised marijuana. You'd instantly see an influx of tourists heading for the coffee shops of Pattaya. Not just Pattaya each tourist area would have its own marijuana area. Just imagine how this would change Thailand. Chill out visiting temples, have some edibles at the local bakery then sit in a coffee shop next to a waterfall smoking dabs or a nice fat blunt. Every island paridise pumping out slow reggae beats. It would certainly be the land of smiles then.

Making medicine using drug dealers gear. Sounds like a bad idea to me. What if the gear is laced with LSD? There's lots of other bad stuff drug dealers mix in their drugs. Plus what type of weed is it? It's like confiscating a batch load of booze and mixing whisky with wine and beer.

How do they measure employment rates in Thailand. A lot of people I know work for family or friends and don't pay tax. For example, does the noodle seller on his motorcycle pay tax, the mom and pop shop shopkeeper, the motorcycle taxi driver, the lottery seller, the fruit trader at the market, the guy in the motorcycle repair shop, etc. Are they on a government list as employed?

This is a gut wrenching ordeal for the mom, the baby, her family, the neighbor finding the baby, and others we do not know are involved. But I would rather trade places with any of them than you based on your comments. If you have zero sympathy for this girl you are already dead even though you can still breathe. You have nothing left inside that is alive and human. I hope I am wrong about you and you were only reacting angrily to the events of this tragic story. [emoji31]
