There is nothing wrong with your plan of a 90-day permission to stay on a single entry Non O visa and a 60-day extension of your permission to stay. The only item that you need to verify is that your insurance covers up to $100,000 for treatment of Covid-19 in Thailand. Your insurance must specifically specify that this is true either on the insurance agreement itself, or on an official letter from the insurance company. Unless the Covid cover is unambiguous, you may need to arrange 90-day Covid cover separately (no cover is necessary for the extension period).

Thanks for your response.  I failed to mention my usa ins will not cover c19 so I will purchase from Lumina or one of the Th rip-offs for 90 days; what a waste but  necessary.  Thanks BT

  2. 72yr old USA need advice of best way to get  120 days  beginning a few months from now.  I and Thai/US wife wish to com in late this year have visited  3-5 months annually and we are healthy with also having

the 2 shot Modena  and have health ins  (Medicare and Tricare for life).  We will prob go the quar route in Bk and we have House/car at our disposal while in NEastern province.  Can I get 90 day Non O to stay with wife and then apply for 60 day enxtion (again) to stay with wife?

I am requesting advice from one of the experts, please.

    Thanks in advance

  3. This BS in just non-sence making its way to a result. If you were following Thai Visa for awhile you may understand.  Frankly not so easy for me.

To the core of your post, I think you should check out the current(sometime a joke) website and determine there are flights under which only certain Thais and Non Thais can re-enter now. Previously, do not know what it will be on Monday, Thais have flown without testing but with paying for their fare from the scheduled repatriation-scheduled location.  That may have developed/changed. Check out the website daily--as maybe your  lady understands how to get home ; there process is much easier than for that of an expat.  No criticism, just reality.

And, yes they have to position their departure to of the original  repatriation international site.  Live in  Denver and your flight, by necessity or by design, you may have to pay for the flight for DEN to LAX or SFO,etc.

Wake up tomorrow am and check it again.  Good Luck

  4. From USA I am requesting a COE along with a O1 multi entry visa.  Everything I have seen says I must have c19 insurance cover for the period of the visa.  I intend to leave Thailand after around 50 days of entry as I need to be in the USA at that time.  If I purchase C19 ins for a year most of ins carriers will stop the coverage when I leave Thailand OR I will be paying for the period (maybe 3-4 months) for nothing.

I have tried to phone the consulate with no luck.

Anyone had some experience with this?

  5. My  Thai Wife and I were married in 1975, well recorded as we were married by the Ampur official In Lop Buri.  More that a few visa(s)/extensions, etc since and Yes, still married, live both in USA and in Thailand annually.

Never been asked for a Kor XX, just presented notarized, Thai and English marriage certificate to IO but the last time extending for marriage was over 5 years ago.  Do I/we need to provide this document?  If yes, YGBSM, but OK.  Thanks

  6. Currently in Thailand on Non O/with mult extensions for retirement, with a 'week 2' Feb 2020 expiration and no funds yet deposited for

extension of stay.  'had a optical related health issue, went to US and now all well.

Also, do not wish to wasted the $'s on insurance as I am 100% covered outside of TH.

First question:  Is there any extension I can purchase for a 1 month or other intermediate period other that a week?

I Am considering applying for a Non Im O visa to visit with Thai spouse, thru the Washington DC consulate upon return to USA.

(assuming Q#1  is unacceptable)?  I have studied the Thai consulate, DC, website and they seem to mix details for single entry and multi entry together.

Second Question:  "Validity"-- does this mean I have a full year to arrive in TH from day from 'stamp of approval' ?  (website indicated its 90 days but this may be for the single entry). questions will be appreciated.

Advice on the above questions will be appreciated.

    Thanks, MVB

  7. I have a Non O issued in Washington DC 2014 w/extensions (ret) since.  I'm 70yr USA so local health ins is worthless given I have 3 dif ins coverages from retirement benefits. Not all ins coverage will apply here but some do.

My Th/USA wife (40+yr has no IM issues) resides w/ me in TH on long term lease. (kk)

My current EOS espires early Feb2020. I have more than adequate means but buying another ins pol is contrary to logic.

I realize I'm cutting it close but I can have funds in TH bank act within a week, already have accounts and methods for xfer.

    1.  If I have B40,000 in bank reflecting intl xfer with in 10 days will that suffice for Non O extension based on "stay with family in TH"

    2.  What process/docs-et al will I need in the case of question #1 ?

    3.  I will appreciate any positive response but my priority is expert level, i.e. UBJoe.

    Thanks in advance for response.
