  1. excelent...decision!

    in uk english...

    in france ..french

    in germany ...german

and so on....it is incredible as thai woman can't learn any language even living with a foreigner in his own country...i have seen many example allready here....australian , english american etc etc ..!

in our rich countries we have more than enough ...immigration .....who do not integrate themself and use our taxes and laws to get only rights and a better life....and what does thailand for us in return...??????

just nothing ...here if you have money you can stay and if you dont ...even married or whatever ...you have to go.

so if i could decide i would aplicate the same laws as thailand aplicate to other citizens from others countries

eye for eye, teeth for teeth

    and have a good day!

I had a different experience. I have met scores of Western immigrants in Thailand who could not say "hello" in Thai.

On the other hand, improbable as it may sound:

    - A Thai lady in Sweden fluent in Swedish and English (15 years there, came with nothing, owns a small restaurant now, plans to go back home in 5 years)

    - A Thai lady in Austria - fluent in German, server at an airport business lounge

    - A Thai family in Germany - owners of (yes!) a street food stall - fluent in German and some English

Maybe those partners of foreigners in Thailand just have a small hope that their husbands will make an effort to learn Thai?

  2. These two articles give a very good understanding of the premises of Islam. Hysteria aside - followers of that religion either have a clash with their beliefs or have to admit atrocities perpetrated by Islamic extremists are within their religion. This is reality and needs to be considered when dealing with Islamic terrorism.

  3. I do know how to spell Paedophile The English way (Paed child, Ped of the foot) Look it up in an English dictionary, I am not American

    www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/paedophile

A person who is sexually attracted to children. Meaning, pronunciation and example sentences, English to English reference content.

For me it is a crime against a young human . If you think it ain't, then bugger off...

"If you think it ain't, then bugger off..."

Legally speaking, buggery is also a crime (against nature). whistling.gif

Yes, in certain legal systems - e.g. Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, Iran...

  4. Societies in the west do get eroded by the influx of people who ideologically, culturally and religiously are foreign. The system of values of a Muslim from the Middle East is not and cannot be compatible with that of a person from Europe. An added problem is the fact that most of Muslims are very religious, whereas most of Europe is secular and religious fanaticism is a thing of the past.

  5. my investments are in the European & USA market.

little bit of commodities too like gold, silver...

all my business is managed by a bank. I could do it by myself but too risky. too many of my friends lost all thinking they could make big money and have been hit by the crisis. They have lost most of their money.

when market is based on a fraction of a second, better give this to professionals and have a good night sleep.

I will not invest more(in stocks and bonds ) . better be safe than sorry. this is why I am asking you if there is a better and a safer way to invest.

You have an account large enough for the bank to give you a personal manager? Why on earth are you asking the hacks at TV?

"Personal managers" are not always exclusive. Fidelity will assign you one if you have your retirement money with them but that personal manager will handle numerous customers in addition to you.

Not at banks. Private banks have personal bank managers. I know I have one.

Yes, you do. And that person acts as a personal manager for a number of clients.

  6. The only way to end this madness is for immediate reciprocation from western nations to make the sons and daughters of the Thai elite start visa running - with clear doubts over their re-entry being cast. Once these little darlings have been forced to leave their luxury dwellings to flit off to Calais or other migrant infested hellholes with no real idea when or if they will be allowed to return, there will be an awakening.

I guess many Thais would have been delighted with such opportunity. Unfortunately for them they can only go to the UK with a visa obtained prior to travel - and the process is neither easy nor cheap. Pray that the Thai government goes not reciprocate and cancels visa exemption :)

  7. Lack of maturity , time to grow up people ,, when you exhibit rubbish behaviour like this it reflects not only on the university but the quality of its students. coffee1.gif

You are assuming anyone really believes either the college or students are high quality.....

Seems the quality of educational institution does not depend on behavior and morals of its staff and students. Look up recent stories about systemic child abuse at one of the most prestigious and highly "respected" schools in Australia.

  8. Here's a possible and likely scenario IF some truly far-seeing, altruistic,. benevolent, and wise people don't do what's needed: In 50 years, more than half of Thailand's businesses will be owned by Chinese, Burmese, Singaporean, and Cambodian businessmen. The 20-somethings of today will be seeing their kids and grandkids working as maids and gardeners, prostitutes and labourers, for foreign ASEAN nationals, while these same foreign ASEAN nationals will be taking income away from Thai businessmen. It will get so bad, that Thailand will try to adjust laws, and try to escape out of it's ASEAN agreements. But too little, too late.

Poor Thailand. So Australians, Brits, Germans etc will get replaced by Chinese, Burmese, Singaporean, and Cambodian?

  9. I think its the Daily Mirror that is running a story line today about the dark side of Thailand the murders rapes mafia usual stuff I am sure this will make first time visitors think twice about visiting Thailand but wont put off the seasoned visitors to Thailand because we know all the dark side already.

That rag could do same for another 50 destinations with ease - Mexico? any place North Africa? continue the list.

I understand that the recent bombing gives them an excuse to go all the way demonizing Thailand to the glee of many members here lol
