Baan and Beyond and Tops
I see that Baan and Beyond also Tops supermarket have closed and pulled out from the area next to Big C behind KFC on Sukhumvit. The antique shop on the corner of the road by the parking area also looks like they are moving out as well which leaves only Office Supplies in that precinct.

The tech flaw that lets hackers control surveillance cameras
I have around 15 cameras around the house, half of them are Hikvision because they are good and only cost B550 on Lazada. BUT a security hack can only happen if they are logged into the internet through the router or on a cloud, mine are used as surveillance and recording only to a hard disk. The definition is quite good and can read number plates and see individual pieces of grass The other cameras I have that are on line are VStar cam as far as I know there is not a problem with those, but if there is who cares, they are welcome to look at my perimeter wall and watch the cats outside playing in their catio ????

RIP Ubon Joe - ASEAN NOW visa expert
Ubon Joe who passed away 3 days ago. Visa Moderator/advisor at ASEAN NOW Forum, truly a legend and a great friend. ❤️ It is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of our very good friend and moderator Ubon Joe following a short illness. Joe Reedy, 73, a dedicated individual and beloved moderator, passed away in Ubon Ratchathani, leaving behind a lasting impact on the lives he touched. Among his many services, Joe served as an expert on visa issues for aseannow.com. He joined the forum in 2008. Born in the United States, Joe dedicated ten years of his life to serving his country as a jet engine technician in the US Air Force from 1968 to 1978. Joe's relocation to Thailand over 17 years ago, followed the devastating loss of his wife to cancer. He eventually remarried and settled in Ubon Ratchathani. Embracing his passion for community service, Joe became a member of American Legion Post TH01 in Ubon. He actively participated in various roles, serving as a member-at-large and the Public Affairs Officer. Through his involvement, Joe displayed a deep commitment to fellow veterans, ensuring their voices were heard and their needs were met. He will be remembered as a resilient and honorable man who dedicated his life to serving others, both in his military career and in his commitment to going above and beyond the call of duty in helping the many people with questions and concerns about traveling, working or living in Thailand. He has had a profound effect on the lives of many. Joe is survived by two daughters from the US, his wife in Thailand and his adopted daughter, who graduated from University and is now married. RIP Joe Funeral arrangement:
