Swiss man in Phuket acquitted of assaulting doctor
IslandLover replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
First of all, the steps the women were sitting on were not legal and have subsequently been removed because they were encroaching on a public beach. At the very least, the villa owners should have known this. I wonder how difficult it would have been to have erected a low fence on the legal edge of the property, a gate to the beach, and a sign saying NO ENTRY in the required languages? It might have been enough to put off the "hordes of Chinese (?) tourists" that this man complained about previously from trespassing on his property. A small private villa estate on Railay Beach in Krabi has such a fence and it stops undesirables from wandering around the property. At least it did last time I stayed there. Finally, what happened with the road-rage incident Mr. Fehr was previously involved in? Or the dodgy elephant sanctuary where most of the "rescued animals" had been bought in? -
1. Koh Tao. 2. A drainage ditch. 3. Allegedly fell and hit his head whilst drunk during participation in the Koh Tao Pub Crawl. 4. The death occurred some time in March of this year - March 18 to be precise. 5. The OP photo is completely misleading. The report of the Essex Coroner's inquest in Essex Live, whilst lacking in detail, does at least show a photo of the deceased.

It appears to be the same man who died on Koh Tao back in March of this year. His name was given as Theo Bailey then. The report in Essex Live is from the U.K. Coroner's inquest into the death which has presumably taken place recently. His name is now given as Theo Morgan and his age as 27. If you compare the photos of Theo Morgan in the Essex Live article with the photos of Theo Bailey in press reports at the time of his death. It is most certainly the same person. Hope this clarifies things for you.

Australian tourists help collect rubbish on Koh Samui (video)

Yes, that's the route I took back in the 1980s. 🙂 -
Yes, that's what I meant actually. They don't routinely cull stray dogs here in the Netherlands but as there aren't any stray dogs roaming the streets, whatever they are doing is working. We do have animal shelters of course and I presume this is where the stray dogs end up after they have been neutered and vaccinated. If people want a dog they are encouraged to get one from a shelter rather than a dog breeder. Nevertheless most of the dogs I see in my neighbourhood are pedigrees.

And the latest case in the UK where a man was mauled to death by an XL Bully that he was taking care of for a friend. The police shot it dead. XL Bullys have been banned in the UK since February this year, the only exceptions being registered dogs who have been spayed/neutered and have to wear a muzzle in public. I'm guessing this one was none of those things.

Putin's only a communist in George Orwell's 'Animal Farm' sense. -
My name is not "Sue", Frank. I'm not the person you think I am. Sorry to disappoint you. And, it was not reported in the Daily Mail days after it happened. That was different article about the two Burmese wanting a review of their case, which was followed by another article detailing some of the deaths of tourists that have occurred on Koh Tao. The Daily Mail only picked up on this latest incident at the same time as the Mirror, whose article is quoted in the OP.

The information I've seen is that the GF is Australian and has gone back there. She appeared to have been travelling around SE Asia before this happened. Now we hear that she is a teaching assistant in the UK, which is news to me. Her posts in tribute to Theo were on Instagram which I presume has now been made private. The news of this death was most certainly suppressed and the British press have only recently been tipped off.
