And where to buy it in Thailand?
I'm interested in getting a telescope for viewing the nightsky.
I suppose it's best to have an objective.
A good objective is probably to be able to see the moons of jupiter, and possibly the colours and face of Jupiter.
What sort of telescope would be needed to do so? What else in the solar system would one be able to see?
thanks.

One day they've been tortured until they confessed (independent media report).
The next day they've freely confessed to the Thai authorities. (Thai government report)
Who on Earth to believe.

I should add that my main car is a Camry. As boring as one could get. For me motorbiking is about fun, letting loose, treating your wildside. Boring doesn't cut it. Boring design, no thanks. Boring engine that can do 3 million km between services. No thanks. Boring mass produced gunk aimed at 60 year olds and newbies buying their first bigger bike. No thanks.
Benelli, yes please, thank you very much. I would guess that boring people wouldn't understand though.

I had the 600 for six months and it was a nice little shoot-about. Looked great, sounded great, ran, yeah I suppose, great. Didn't have any issues with it.
The knife through the heart here though was the inline 4 CBR650 range. Though Honda quality is nothing to write home about nowadays, especially local made Hondas.
For those who haven't got beige blood and John Major's voice, the Benelli has the passion and soul. Something a low revving midsized Honda mass produced for the masses will never have.
Buying again now, I'd still go for the Benelli.

I might opt for the twin cylinder Ninja. I do think Kawi put together a good bike in the 300N.
Agree. The high RPM twin cylinder 296cc engine is good fun, and a good replacement for the 250. For some reason I found it a bit embarrassing to see Honda's retaliation (boosting their 250 single up to 286cc, then also calling it a '300')
THAT being said, anything under 500cc for sport touring is going to be a hard ride IMO.Agree again. The 471cc () Hondas just about do okay.

Miracle that no one was killed with a homemade machete or gun after the local whiskey celebration?

Every time I arrive at Swampy, I jump into a Taxi (back seat) and when I put on my seat belt the taxi driver laughs at me and says to me "you not feel safe mister" I tell them that is the law in my country and I feel safer with my seat belt on. It's not rocket science.
Don't you mean:
"when I look around and try to find a seat belt, the taxi driver laughs because they have been removed in order to not cause accidents."
As we all know, fastening a seat means that an accident is going to happen.

Girls for babies, boys for pleasure is what I heard from an arab friend...
Strange 'friends' you have.
Along with all women are prostitutes.
and now your friends are pedophiles.
Obviously a fine member of his community, is our Dennis.

And so it goes on and on and on with these mini van drivers...when r they gunna learn...
After at least 200 years of Western colonization.
Until then, forget it.

Allah Wakbarr! Inshallah he rots in prison for all eternity and become the love slave of many foreign and local inmates
Not bad, in a two-line post you managed to prove, that you are a racist, islamophopic and straight from the trailerpark!!
What a disgusting post.
Best you don't venture out of your house, you might be too delicate for the real World.

Homosexual?
Don't go to countries where it is illegal.
Hardly rocket science.
Most members here are in Thailand.
Many like women you know...
Prostitution is illegal here...
Are you trying to say that all women are prostitutes? All men pay prostitutes for sex?
Help us out.

Am i missing something here OP.
What is the point of heat insulating your car when you just turn the A/C on to
cool the interior?
I refuse to use the aircon in order to save money.
I have hooked up a fan system that works off the wheels. Heat insulation would help.

Great, thanks.

I wonder why many Thai businesses find it nessecary to list the Thai prices using Thai numeral script as opposed to roman numerals?
You mean having the price for Thais written in Thai?
How DARE they.
Perhaps we could lobby for the next Thai constitution to make Thai numerals illegal.

Believe it or not there are many hotels in Thailand that charge Thais more than Falungs because it's quite common practice for a Thai couple to turn up at the hotel, book a room and then the whole family arrives.
I remember the Royal Orchid Sheraton Bangkok giving special offers for foreign couples only.
This is the (lone) example that the apologists love to give to defend the rampant dual pricing of non-Thais.
I was around Khao San for some odd reason, and looked at some of the trips in the tourist agencies. My Thai GF at the time was there and when I went to book a bus ticket for us we were told NO THAIS. Thais are not allowed on them.

Thailand isn't the country for people who believe in rights, equality and justice.
sorry to break it to you OP.

Sorry, I guess it's a large air pump that pumps air into it, that I'm looking for, not a water pump.
I guess I'm looking for what power I should get to give it a decent blast of oxygen.
-
I have a small fish pond in my garden.
Dimensions 180cm x 90cm x 35cm.
Apparently this equates to: 150 US Gallons. 125 UK Gallons. 567 Liters.
I want powerful water pump to oxygenate it.
I previously had 4 small pumps that cost 100-150b each, tubes going into the water with balls on the end that the bubbles came out of.
In less than a year each of these pumps were dead.
So I think I'd like one big one instead.
Any idea of what size would be good? I haven't the first clue about such things.
Thanks.

Aranyaprathet will be handy for the border-runner with a bit of dosh.

Okay, so not easy.
I would have presumed that for doing the roof it's just a case of unpinning the fabric ceiling, putting the insulating mat on it, then pinning it back in.
-
So Westerners can go to the temple that is in Cambodian territory? Or just up to Pa Ma-E-Daeng cliffs on the Thai side?
I have family coming soon and they would be interested in visiting the temple itself. Something that hasn't been allowed since around 2008.
-
I noticed that they have heat insulation mats (foam mats with the silver reflective covering on one side). About 500b for one or two meters squared I think.
Has anyone ever done it?
I presume it would just be a case of removing the ceiling of the car, which presumably is just held on with fasteners etc. Then laying it in. Perhaps the door panels too?
Any experiences with it or doing it?
What telescope to see Jupiter's moons?

Great, so 100x and you'd get to see the cloud structure of Jupiter. Great.
With x100 what other bodies in the solar system would you see?
I'll have to check it up later. I guess there is a list out there of what you can see with the different level of er, zoom(?) magnification(?).
