Get rid of the obstructing vendors on Silom but Silom doesn't need to be a walking street, there is already one there called Patpong.

Oh dear poor JTJ - now he will HAVE to apologise!!! What a clown!!
The case has been to court then, has it? It may not be him that needs measuring for a clowns outfit.

Lawyer Aung Myo Thant said the pair, Zaw Lin and Win Zaw Htun, both 21, from the Arakanese town of Kyaukphyu, told a Burmese embassy legal team they had murdered English tourists
Speaking to DVB on Monday, Kyaw Thaung, a representative of the Myanmar Association in Thailand, who attended the interview with the defendants, said, “We went to the prison [on Koh Samui] and were allowed to meet with the two freely. They confessed to committing the crime under the influence of alcohol.
JTJ.
If you got paid for Hijacking Threads .. you would make a fortune ...
Somewhat Pathetic my Cynical friend ................. Pray tell me .. if they get found NOT GUILTY .. will you apologise to everyone on tv ???
He has nothing to apologise for, and certainly has no need to apologise to ThaiVisa members, but having said that if they are proved guilty will you and the rest of the Anti-JTJ team apologise?

I have little doubt police may have roughed these guys up or at minimum deprived them of some of their right but have nearly no doubt they have the right guys. Also have no doubt if these suspects were Thai (especially rich) that many of the posters outraged over the abuse of their rights would be screaming for more of their blood.
Police shouldn't abuse any suspects or anyone even rapist murderers but the evidence is just beyond overwhelming against these guys and their DNA samples can be got again by these lawyers and human rights people they confessed and then compared to the DNA results from the crime scene.
The way this is going to go down seems fairly predictable ..... these guys are going to please guilty and do everything in their power to downplay how monstrous their behavior was by saying they were drunk, didn't mean to kill them and so on in hopes of not receiving the death penalty
Independent investigation including DNA testing is the only way this mess is going to be resolved. There is too much doubt.
Isn't that what a court is for?

Well a statement like that, anywhere else in the world would probably bring an instant mistrial.
Pure heresay
The case hasn't gone to court yet.

*** Breaking News ***
Chang International raceway tarmac showing signs unstable road base and large cracks a leading Thai road engineer has claimed. He stated that the likely cause of this was vehicles driving around the track to fast and too many times within a specified time. The whole surface will have to be replaced including the road base, it is expected that all works will be completed within 5 years and cost 1 billion Baht per kilometer. The Thai government will pay for the new surface and handle the tender and construction processes.
Another prominent building engineer has claimed that the main stadium has become unstable due to massive overloading during the venues inaugural event. The stadium was designed to hold 50 000 people and it has been reported that in excess of 130 000 were admitted during the Japanese Super GT event. The stadium will have to be demolished and rebuilt. But Thai Government sources have stated "it is unlikely that the stadium will be rebuilt, as the race track surface also needs more work which we will not be involved with".
The TAT press release:
New Chang International raceway a huge success. Over 300 000 visitors attended the first event all everyone was happy. There are new events planned for the raceway everyday for the next 7 years, including the eF1 format, 2018 Winter Olympic bobsleigh and figure skating events, 2015 International Swimming meet, 2015 NASCAR round 1 race and the launch of the new Pluto Intergalactic Space Station (PISS).
Entry into the Chang International raceway is 100% free upon remitting your ticket at the entrance gate and all tourists are encouraged to attend, also VAT refunds are eligible on all tickets purchased to attend the venue* Subject to eligibility and Thai regulations deemed appropriate at the time of applying for VAT refunds. Tourists must submit the original Chang International ticket when claiming a VAT refund.

Daftest post of the month so far?

Yes that one is here.. https://www.hyundai-motor.co.th/ElantraSport/ starts @ 749,000 baht.
Believe there will be 4 models here coming from Indonesia and Malaysia, so a lot cheaper... as not full imports duty..
My friend and I recently purchased a car (Honda City) in Thailand and considered this car.
Ultimately, Honda won out due to "inconvenience" factor. There were dealers everywhere including one walking distance from my friend's work location. And,who doesn't drive Honda City in BKK? It should be easy to get parts and service for this car.
We weren't as sure about Hyundai parts and service availability so passed on in (although I think this car
is better than Honda City).
"And,who doesn't drive Honda City in BKK?"
Me, for one, and literally millions of others.

Nice house and "British Owned", either this guy knows something I dont, or sloppy reporting again?

The former.

'And in other news, police have threatened charges for those who say they use scapegoats...'
It isn't looking good for the police at the moment, is it?
The police haven't been accused of anything in this case so things aren't looking any worse for them after the Russian's death.

Suspicious. Where is the 700,000?
You must also be referring to the 700,000 baht that was offered as a bribe and refused by the police. It was probably still in the Russians bank.

Not that I'm suspicious but - where's the 700,000? Held for safe-keeping?
What 700,000B? Maybe you mean the 700k that was offered as a bribe and refused by the police. The 700k that the police don't have because they wouldn't accept the bribe.

If the DNA evidence is infallibly conclusive, why did they need to beat confessions out of the Burmese boys?
They didn't.

Stays with the Original Car. You cant work a deal,
How can that be correct? I have seen many ads for used cars for sale that specify that the registration number is not included in the sale of the vehicle.

Seems he wasn't actually in the car park, from the article:
Upon questioning the witnesses the police found out that the victim just park the a car on the edge of the road because he just want to buy something from a nearby store. When he returned to his car Mr.Todsapol asked him for the parking fee. Initially the police officers took Mr.Todsapol to police station in order to prosecute him according to Thai law.
So please, stop with the bashing of this poor guy.
Well said.

Let's see what the super sleuths on thai visa make of this.
Myanmar guy no English accused of murder.
Must be a set up!
Ooh diddums, spitting the dummy ?
If forum members were to post for absolute guilt would you find cause for innocence ?
I don't think he's spitting the dummy, it sounds more like you are doing that. Perhaps he's making an accurate and relevant observation?
and perhaps you haven't been following the KT story from the time it was first reported or are you someone else using another name ?
Much as I hate to rock the Thai Visa boat and from observing members comments for some time I do realise there is a hierarchy here in some members eyes but your comment about aliases seems a bit hypocritical as I'm pretty sure NongKhaiKid and The Stuttering Parrot are not the real names of the posters I responded to.

Well if she really fell under the skytrain because of drowsiness then i don't see why singapore is responsible for that. Then she should sit in a wheelchair, not walk in a city like Singapore.
I think also BKK doesn't have those automatic doors on every bts-station yet. Maybe the princess can help getting them, or the tsunami-alarms.
"Then she should sit in a wheelchair, not walk in a city like Singapore."
I wonder if you would be man enough to say that to the girl and her father's face?
- 2
-
So she fell under the skytrain because of drowsiness? The skytrain in singapore has automatic doors on the perron to enter the skytrain. How could she still fall under the skytrain then?
Then she got legs from the thai queen but she wants to have to most advanced prosthetic legs now from singapore.
I have been wounded several times in Thai resorts but it was hard enough to get a plaster from them to stop the bleeding.
There were no doors at the time of this young girls accident. Your 2nd sentence ("How could she still fall under the skytrain then?") seems to suggest that she's making it all up, I'm pretty sure she isn't.
She was gratiously granted financial assistance from the King and Queen's daughter, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to help her walk, why should she now abandon that desire to lead as normal a life as possible in her circumstances by having the best prosthetic limbs available? You begrudge her that just because she has had help before?
That you should include a comment about your own insignificant "wounds" as you did in your last sentence in a serious report about a tragic accident is nothing less than shameful.

"How about the baby powder ads that suggest by using that product your child will be more intelligent ?"
You and your rampant imagination, again; "baby powder" adverts that are seen in the media all promote after-shower comfort and freedom from rash, not to mention the benefits of smelling good. None of them claim to make babies more intelligent.
