I'm still confused about what is approved by local Thai Embassy and what is Approved by Thailand directly. I thought the Pass was something you apply online on Thai website and they approve from Thailand? Cheers

What a mess, this is all very confusing and discouraging for travellers (at least for me). If I understand it correctly, it's a little bit like playing roulette? I don't really understand if and in which case you're covered. Maybe I should read it again! Cheers

I used the METV few times in the past, it was very convenient. I plan to go back to Thailand soon, I have my gf and some friends waiting for me. Good luck to you mate.

With the METV you would need to border run to extend your stay in Thailand? After 3 months you need to exit and come back to get stamped in 2 months permit. At the moment I'm not sure that's possible/convenient. Am I missing something? Sorry if it's already been asked, I didn't go through all the posts. Cheers
