This is not the Bubonic Plague. Get over it! Folks get it, get sick, get better, case closed. What is the point in destroying everything over this virus?

Oh yeah, and what about the millions of people out of work again or continuing to be unemployed with no hope? Folks like you seem to only look at the surface issue which is murky at best. Maybe you have money in the bank but some folks can’t even feed their families. This pontificating about “shut it down” does nothing for the poor sod whose just eking out a living. Have a little heart and look at the percentages of infection, hospitalizations, deaths etc. They’re minuscule when compared to the population.

Has anybody bothered to factor in the percentage of the population we’re talking about here and the severity of these cases.? The collateral damage these blanket closings cause is enormous. Social, economic and mental health of the population is far worse than the Covid infection itself.

That’s right, shut the country down further destroying an already moribund economy for a virus that results in not much more than a bad cold or nasty case of the flu. The side effects of a shutdown are far worse than catching the WuFlu.

This is a tragedy. Put yourself in their shoes. My heart goes out to these folks and if I can find a way to help I will.

How about a concerted national effort to clean the rubbish that lies everywhere, the deadly roads with no law enforcement, the millions of unemployed, the pollution that is choking the cities etc etc etc etc.....?

That says a great deal about their intelligence then. 60 dead in total from Covid all year, with about that every day on the roads. I know what I am more concerned about.
Amen. What am I missing, about 24,000 dead on the roads and 60 from Covid and those more than likely were either aged or had pre-existing conditions. Irrational fear.

Well, if the baht drops 25% I’ll buy another house and maybe throw in a condo just for fun. But then, that is about as likely as me being on the next moon shot. The current government, or sort of government, is a soup sandwich and that’s being kind.

Well, if the government and gullible folks hadn’t treated the WuFlu like the Bubonic Plague none of economic devastation would have taken place. The cure is definitely much worse than the disease.

There are some that may go hungry at times but I honestly know of no one here that is literally starving to death.
PS: she does not look like she has missed many meals.
Yeah well, one can die from a lot of things and mortality from WuFlu is actuarially insignificant.

What in God’s name is so difficult about this? In my early years, along with a passport and visa we always carried a yellow international vaccination certificate. It was checked on entry wherever you went, not a problem. People who resist this should just stay home, hide in the closet and let the rest of us get on with living full lives!

The American guy waged a campaign against the hotel because he got upset about not being allowed to bring in beer from 7/11 .
Unfair on the hotel for Trip advisor to issue a warning , when the American guy wrote false reviews
Whether what he wrote was wrong or stupid is not the point, it’s an opinion! The guy may be a complete jerk but, so what? One absolutely shouldn’t be going to jail for a misguided or questionable opinion. TA is right on and I’m glad they warned us as wife and I are heading for Koh Chang next month but certainly not to that establishment.

This is absolutely insane. The country that unleashed this virus on the world, ruined economies and caused untold suffering and who do you welcome with open arms? The same creeps that did all this. Sheer madness.

Prayut and his toadies seem hell bent on destroying what’s left of the Thai economy. My heart goes out to the millions of our Thai friends who are suffering mightily while their government perpetuates this lunacy.

Will these guys ever learn? Are there crazy big bike guys, yes, but there are hundreds of thousands more “little” bike fools everywhere on Thai roads driving like maniacs with no helmets. Are the laws enforced? Everyone reading this knows the answer to that and until traffic laws are enforced across the board edicts like this are useless.

This is just so crazy. If you’ve ever been to China, spitting anywhere seems to be a way of life. I can only hope that immigration tells them that we have a public “no spit policy.!”

Either there is an ulterior motive or someone else is paying for these “tourists” to come here. Why would anyone in their right mind put up with all of this nonsense to lie on a Thai beach or visit a few Temples. Something else is going on here.

This is so sick. What about the separated families, long time residents, folks who really have a need to run home for a variety of valid reasons then can’t come back without spending a fortune. But whoa, bring on the Chinese who started this whole mess! This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Where do they find these guys? Under rocks I guess. I love Thailand, am married to a Thai/American citizen for 20 years who I adore. Love my extended Thai family and we have a comfortable home we have owned for many years. Having said all that, we’re packing up for the Algarve In Portugal where I’m welcome unlike here where I’m constantly maligned. Bye Bye Thailand and so sorry for all the people we employ and are leaving behind.
