@ubonjoe, Is it obvious to immigration from this visa that it was obtained through an agent and the holder did not have genuine medical reasons to stay?  And, if so, do you think they will have any difficulties being issued with any other kind of visas in the future (non-o, non-b, etc.)?

It's called an amnesty meaning there was no reason to leave the country as long as the extension to stay was renewed. It would have been immigration that put the stamp in the passport.

There is nothing on the stamp saying it is for medical reasons.

Even if there was how would immigration know from looking at a stam in a passport if the guy whos passport it is was ill or not ?

Thanks for the info, but it just down as they rectify the issues and not closed never to be used again.  If as you say it is gone, well then that will create a nightmare in logistics for many who use different services at CW, MTT and even in the outer areas where you could schedule an appointment.  No where did I see that the appointments will be done away with in the link you gave.

No it will come back online again I have no doubt. Probably poor terminology on my part.

If immigration can make a mountain out of a mole hill they will.

I have not heard that the on-line reservation appointments were being shelved.  Can you explain a little further and point us to where that information is located.  Many of us have been doing the on-line appointments for many different things including the annual extension.

Take a look at this topic, go to the 3rd page

The online appointments have been put on hold because of a data breach. I don't believe it effects 90 day reports. It's been mentioned on here and other places over the past week.

My questions were in the main for the benefit of others, especially first time extension. Not  everyone is aware of deposit on the day to show activity.

The clerk made the photocopy as she knows that the io may wish to see this updated page.

Not everyone is aware that for appointments a hard copy of confirmation email is required.

Similar to map. It's required at CW.

    etc etc.

Won't be many showing the hard copy anymore being as online appointments are being shelved.

Yeah no worries about talking about trying to help others, that's the only reason I bother to post about my experience. Thought I'd covered all bases, thanks for pointing out the bits I missed out.

Hope that doesn't look as rude to you as it does to me !!

    You didn't mention bank letter.

Did you make deposit into bank to show activity.

Assume you used money in bank method, so just the photocopies of your bank book pages.

You didn't mention hard copy print out of your appointment.

This is required and they take your picture with you holding it.

Did you provide map of your residence.

Did you show lease agreement or anything similar.

Bank letter was done the day before.

Everyone has to show a movement in their bank book do they not ?

And yes I printed off the copies of my bank book yesterday. Not sure I needed too being as the bank also printed off a copy today.

A map of my residence haha  I used to be able to drawer better when I was at school. What a waste of time that piece of paper is.

I had the hard copy of my appointment but there was no picture of me holding that up taken.

I get the bill, but that means I have to be here to pay it. I'm trying to find a way to pay it without having the bill, so I can still pay it if I am away.

The MWA site says you can pay it with the Kasikorn app, which suggests you can do it without the code. (For other banks, they are listed as being paid by QR.)

Maybe you have to download the MWA app, if there is one.

  8. I pay my water on the kasikorn app.

I am also renting my condo. You will need your water bill account number to be able to pay the bill. Just go to banking and then payments theres a line of most used companies. I do mine from that.

    Oops sorry thats electric.

Water doesn't look possible by bank without the QR code.

Who gets your bill ? Ask them to send it to you

You will obtain definitive advice from expert and or someone that does exactly what currently about to do.

When this first started there was confusion as to when the insurance policy should start on day of application. In that situation your extension would only be 12 months from that date.

One would think that you could have insurance start on date your current policy expires.

Which immigration office do you deal with.

I deal with CW. The policy runs for a full year as did the one I had last year. It's no different from before insurance was needed. You go early and get things sorted out early.

Last year I could kind of understand. This year not at all if insurance is ongoing why would you not be allowed to do it early.

But TIT, it's all on the day. Just hoping a few might have been allowed to get done early and give me a heads up.

  10. I have seen a few posts about this on here but as always in Thailand there is never a straight forward answer.

I want to do my extension of stay at the start of July, which will be 2 weeks before the old extension runs out.

I will have new insurance in place, my question is will I be allowed to do it early or will I be told "can not" because IQ's are hard to come by in IO's ?

erm  no, it  doesnt because when I had to physically  go  in to report earlier this  year due to their incompetence in keeping the sytem working  they failed to input my updated 90 day report in March, If  i check on the website it  shows  my  last report as january  this  year, I did  another one yesterday  AT  the  office as the online site told me to report in person, this too  also does not show today online so the system is ferked. Ive now done two IN PERSON reports, neither  show on the online site.

I did mine online last week got approved yesterday.

My previous report shows as December 28th.

It doesn't need to show online if you went in person.

I very much doubt an online form will show someone showing up in person.

  12. I did my online 90 days on Friday and got the approval today. Also had to go in person 3 months ago.

Sees to be very much a luck of the drawer type of thing.

I've done mine online 2 weeks ago .got Approved but No New Date

Scrolled down and looked everywhere  closed the page and got back at it to check Status of application Again ,to no avail same all same all.

Then went to the Imm Office 3 days ago , works All the time .

They said online  is hopeless.I Agree. ????

You have to click on the tab at the far right side of the screen where it says you have been approved. That then allows you to print off the next date. I have had trouble with that many times because I can not remember how to do it. The joys of getting old !

Did my online report on Friday and it was accepted today. So it does work but seems to be very much luck of the drawer.

All is needed is the stock of vaccines , syringes , needles , people . UK started sooner then rest of Europe , but the story is the same everywhere , you can't vaccinate 10 people when you only got 1 in stock . As long as you got the vaccines all can be done extremely fast . I am not saying Thailand got them , highly doubt it , but it matter of time frame  , even 1 month is possible ( or less , as long you got all the stocks needed ) .

You could do it in a day if you had 70 million doses and 35 million people to jab each other.

So this time tomorrow it's all over. Wonderful.

very sad indeed. not sure who is the idiot who replied with smiley.

when i took the vaccine i also felt some unusual phisical stress, i decided to take a rest

and relax for two weeks after each vaccine.

one sceintist calculted it this way, according to data about the deceased from vaccive vs. virus:

there is a chance of 1 to 100,000 to die from the vaccine, and 1 to 5000 to die from the virus.

the chance to die from the virus can be reduced to allmost zero once herd immunity is achieved.

herd immunity is achieved once 70% of the population has been vaccinated.

thailand might get there within 3-4 months.

The UK has been jabbing for the best part of 6 months and 40%  of adults have had both jabs.

That's adults not the population, will take 2 or 3 more months before herd immunity is reached there.

Think you are being somewhat hopeful Thailand will manage it  within 4 months.
