Bangkok to Hua Hin is not a world tour.

Fly to Bangkok and take another transport.

A bit costly of course if you choose private taxi or limo.

If AirAsia were at least a bit of a quality airline they should offer you rebooking.

There is that option to rebook now from AA until March 31, not to be confused with them cancelling giving a rebooking/credit option. I would have to initiate, so for now, it would look like changing from one confirmed flight to another prior to them cancelling, rescheduling or crediting and could well be in the same situation again, if the schedule is further revised.

    Good Luck ... ????????????

... sorry, good luck though.  do have a Plan B

They have been good in the past, crediting cancelled flights and I got a credit on an internal flight in 2021,

I decided not to take due to a Covid spike, yet the flight itself still happened.
More concerned about no email so far outlining options, as the change is pretty obvious, I have hotel bookings to modify when I know.........

  4. have early April flights to HH from Chiang Mai, in Friday, out Sunday, status still showing as confirmed when I check the AA website, yet their schedule of Friday/Sunday flights seem to end late March, with Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday thereafter as a renewed schedule. Just wondering if anyone here has a similar issue, after contacting AA, they say if its cancelled, I will get an email but no email so far and my flights no longer showing on their booking schedule?

What version of the Bualuang mBanking app are you running? Long press on the icon, press the "i", scroll down.

Current version is 3.14.1, January 23, 2022 after a malware false positive kerfuffle.

Many people running Android 6 reported success using the current version, so I assumed the Android 7 requirement was a typo, but who knows.

Contact: [email protected] or call Bualuang Phone 1333 press 2-0-4.

They introduced NDID service - still beta testing I think, under Other Services - last year. This is for thais only. It uses Facial Scanning.

Don't think its a typo, as there is now a paragraph below, at the top of the M banking page.
Think like me, others using Android 6, may have the latest update confused with a recent one....

For security, Bangkok Bank Mobile Banking can be used with a mobile phone or tablet with supported operating system only iOS version 11.0 and above or Android version 7.0 and above. Also, the device must have never been jail-broken (iOS) or rooted (Android).

  6. As of late January 2022, downloading this app requires android 7.0 and up.

I have the app on my android version 6.0.1
It still works fine, only difference is when I open the app it says an update is available, yet the link to Google play says the app is no longer compatible with your device.

My question is, do I keep using the old but recently updated app and ignore the prompt to update? Not so keen on buying a new phone just for one app.

Krungsri for example still only require android 5.0 for their updated app, haven't checked out other banks.

    Thanks.

I'll bet that when your fourth grade teacher asked for someone to volunteer to be the classroom monitor, your hand was the first one in the air, with you saying "me, me, me." What difference does it make to you or me what conditions someone else gets to remain in Thailand? Doesn't effect me whatsoever. Especially during a time when the tourist industry is going bust, the Covid extenders are bringing some money into the country.

Oh hardly, I was never a model student....
You don't by any chance wear circus pants and sport a grey pony tail?
Apologies if I have the wrong John in your case.

I've gotten annual extensions based on retirement in Chiangmai more than 10 times and my bank letter has always been dated the day before.  Has never been

    a problem or even questioned.

Yes, like you I have done many extensions in the "past" and the bank letter and the bank book have been updated the day before and both accepted.
What I'm hearing is the letter is still ok up to 7 days prior, however the book must be updated on the day, more so for marriage but has been requested for retirement also.

I did my Marriage extension last month.  The volunteer checkers outside did not comment on my bank info. When I went inside to the IO that checks and gives you your number, my bank letter dated the day before was fine, my yearly statement was ok, but he said I needed to have a transaction in my bank book that day.  I argued that it was my Foreign Currency Account book and up to date. I did not make any transactions on a regular basis as in a savings account, but there was more than enough funds shown.  He said it didn't matter funds or acct.  I said 18 years and never had to update on the same day.  Finally, he said "Debate with them", giving me a number,  Went to window, the IO checked and had me sign all 86 copies (ridiculous) and never said a thing about the bank book.  Stamped passport, did my 90 day for me, and finished. No problem.

I guess if you want to be on the safe side, get it updated in the morning.  Immigration is not busy now and there are no long lines, so arriving early isn't necessary yet. Or you can be stubborn and take a chance like me.  As usual, all depends on the mood of the IO.

Thanks for your detailed reply, appreciate you taking the time.
Yes, Id heard same day bank book update required for marriage but not necessarily retirement.
But agree, no big deal for me to stop at the bank on the way to immigration, deposit 100B and update the book in case. My local branch opens at 8.30am so will aim to arrive at immigration mid morning sometime.

Chiang Mai immigration now requires a detailed printout of your bank book covering at least one year since your last extension.

Yes, I'm aware of this but I obtained a new OA in 2020, so will be my first extension, thus requiring two months seasoning....Thanks anyway.

  11. I'm trying to clarify (based on 800K method) whether the bank letter and passbook update, is still accepted when dated the day before application?

Some are suggesting, the letter is acceptable but the passbook needs to be updated the same day as your application.

I have also heard this may apply to yearly marriage extensions, as opposed to retirement.

Like many of you out there, I have previously been successful with extensions with both the bank letter and passbook updated the day before but now am seeking clarification from any of you who have "actually" successfully extended recently....

    Thanks in advance.

The idea was to point you in the right direction, not do your shopping for you. Try searching Lazada, there are bound to be others.

Cheers CharlieH but I had already bought through Lazada and merely pointed out they were out of stock. Cant recall asking anyone to shop for me, just looking for an alternate brand, as the Cussons option has dried up for now.........Cheers.
