for a non UK citizen this could cause a problem. a way around this would be to generate some UK income.

'' If you’re not a UK resident, you have to claim the Personal Allowance at the end of each tax year in which you have UK income.''

    Is this for EEA citizens.

Generating UK income would not automatically gain a tax allowance if non resident.

Oh my god, are you awake.

if the amount from one source was more that £7,000 then it must be reported and recorded. As regards the DUP’s 400,000. I can only assume this came from much smaller contributions, unless of course you can show otherwise.

No, you obviously don't realise the rules for NI are different

The parties in NI do not have to declare.

However if you wish to discuss shady characters involved in Brexit, how about the leave donor who in 2012 resigned after offering access to D  Cameron off the record for 200,000

It is not a requirement to reveal the source of any money, unless the total from any one source is larger than £7,000. That is how we have come to know that Soras, along with other wealthy foreign individuals have made such large contribution to the remain camp, including financing the naturalised Gina Miller, in her efforts to block the democratic will of the British people.

    Exactly the amount was 400,000.

    Under what laws?

If individuals commit break the law they are punished if found guilty.

However, they would then be subject to any rules in their employing organizations depending on their sentence. Elections to corporate office are by shareholder's or appointment boards responsible to shareholders. As he and members of his family are major shareholders they have a significant say in who gets what job.

Doing something many consider reprehensible and disgusting isn't anything to do with the company or how it elects and dismisses its officers.

Did the government not use section 44 to stop the gold mining company

The DUP is a British political party, and as such will obtain most of their money from their supporters. Any large amounts I believe have to be notified to the authorities.

regarding  the previouse post on Mercer, the word “ contention” springs out.

I beleive  again that any donations over £ 7,000 must be reported, and as this has not happened, you cannot say he has made any large monetary contributions to the Brexit cause, unlike of course Soras’s large amounts to the Remainers and his spokesperson, Gina Miller.

The individual or persons who provided the 400,000 to the DUP during the referendum was not revealed to the electoral commision or the public

If you have  a NI Number you are entitled to a personal allowance..Moving abroad does not cancel it.

    This is nonsense

Tax allowance entitlement is determined by nationality and tax residency status

Can you have a tax allowance in the UK if you are not working or paying tax? What about if you are unemployed and living in another country?

    I honestly have no idea.

I am going to say yes and no. It depends on the individuals' circumstances. A British national will be entitled to a tax allowance regardless of their tax residency status. A non British national ( for EEA unsure), it is determined by their tax residency status

She must have a National Insurance number to transfer a portion of her allowance If  she does not have one she would have to be resident in the UK to apply for one.

No, you are missing the point.

It is possible to have an NI number but not entitled to a tax allowance. NI do not cancel when a person's right to work in the UK ceases.

    However,

    quote "

If you’re moving to the UK

You may have a National Insurance (NI) number printed on the back of your biometric residence permit (BRP). You don’t need to apply for a National Insurance number if you already have one, or one is printed on your BRP.

If you don’t have a National Insurance number, you must apply. You can only apply for it once you’re in the UK. You must have the right to work or study in the UK to get a National Insurance number.

Working without a National Insurance number

You can start work before your National Insurance number arrives if you can prove you can work in the UK. You should tell your employer that you’ve applied for one, and give it to them when you have it.

    National Insurance number interview

Jobcentre Plus may write to you and ask you to come to an interview where you’ll be asked about your circumstances and why you need a National Insurance number.

The letter will also tell you which documents to bring to prove your identity, such as:

    passport or identity card

    residence permit

    birth or adoption certificate

    marriage or civil partnership certificate

    driving licence

You’ll be told at the interview how long it’ll take to receive your National Insurance number.

It is my understanding that the lower earner is transferring a portion of their tax allowance to the higher earner. To be able to do this the lower earner would have to be entitled to a tax allowance

Assuming you are a Basic Rate taxpayer - yes.

You apply here - https://www.gov.uk / apply - marriage - allowance (Just type that in ]

The personal allowance for 2018-2019 is 11850 so you will get an extra 10 percent { 1185 so your allowance will be 13035- you may be able to claim back to 2015.

You will get an email back.

How does his Thai wife who is not resident in the UK qualify for a personal tax allowance.?

My contention was she gave away the two large key Ministries of Finance and Labour . I don't think you can equate these Departments with the lower profile Posts of Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Energy and Climate, Business Innovation and Skills, Dep PM and Scotland.

Of course their has been no reporting yet of the total package she gave away. Maybe there is more to come.

If we are playing top trumps how about deputy prime minister

Can you help me and draw the analogy

The analogy arrives from your argument about the SPD coalition and the issue of having to give positions to a party receiving 20% of the popular vote.

In 2010 the Libdem only achieved 57 seats and 23 % of the vote, but the conservatives in order to form a coalition had to give them 5 cabinet positions.

This is so obviously true, you can see it happening already. Yesterday Mrs Merkel formed a coalition with the SPD. The SPD only have 153 seats in a Parliament of 709 seats. They only got 20% of the popular vote. To keep herself in power she was forced to give them the key Ministries of Finance and Labour which means they are now controlled by members of  a party who only represent 20% of the voters. Can you see where this is going?

So far we have received no comments from the Remainers about  Mrs Merkels left, right shambles of a coalition when they were so vociferous about Mrs Mays coalition.

Conservatives and 2010 come to mind

Had a friend go down that route, cost him 40,000 baht, then his local Immigration office refused to do his 90 day reports.

Told him to go back to Bangkok, the agent, or whoever issued the extension.

He ended up having to do border runs every 90 days for a year.

What your friend should have done , is notify a change of residence in accordance to 37 (2), and then completed a 90 day report

Yes you can, even if it involves number plate recognition technology and suchlike. If a free trade deal is not agreed (something the government is working against), then obviously there are duties to be paid and collected. But, again, this can be done without physical border issues. HM Revenue and Customs has made this point clear.

How would you prevent a vehicle without the prerequisite clearance from crossing the border

When looking at razors one can see that not everything is getting better over time. The only reason these 1/2/3/4/5 blade disposable safety razors were made by the companies is to make money (For the genitals they are ok, but not for the face).

The best razor is the one that our grandpas used already and it looks like this:

    rasierhobel-300x248.jpg

You can get this in cheap made out of plastic in every Big C / Tesco, maybe even 7/11, if you want to try it. If you like it you can go for a better one. I bought mine many years ago in Germany (a Merkur 34C), still as good as new.

Then you can use standard disposable razor blades, the "expensive" ones cost maybe 10THB a piece. (I prefer razor blades from Feather, but there are many other brands, and other people might prefer other brands, so just give different brands a try)

And instead of using the shaving foam out of the bottle you should get a proper shaving brush

    41CFFXA3xIL._SY355_.jpg

This should be made out of badger hair, if it's cheap or expensive is not important, as long is its badger hair. You use this together with shaving soap.

Using these things your shaving experience will be far superior and also much cheaper in the long run.

For more details you can just look it up on Google.

Have you found anywhere that stocks good shaving soap or sticks
