  1. It actually shouldnt be, the witnesses yeah maybe, we have lots of those, we live in a moo baan and the nearest village would have diddly squat knowledge of us.
  2. The problem is the guy sitting at the back on the right, the one on the left lives in our moo bahn and was ready to help only trouble was he wasnt there when we went back and we got the guy on the right(grrrrr), the girls at the desk were semi helpful but maybe have never had to do oneand passed it off.
  3. Free health care that for even simple operations you have to wait a year I waited a year and after a year they gave me a date in a couple of months with no guarantee of that date, I came over here and got it done in a week, my ex in Australia needed knee replacement she ended up paying for it herself and will get it done in December , she needs a hip too but she joined a health insurance to get that next year, any free health care system it seems in a lot of places just means waiting and waiting.
  4. I have replied to another thread here but what I would like to know is how much trouble would I bring upon myself if I reported my local office to DOPA for not issuing me with one, has anyone ever done this or is it just better to try 1 more time and then walk away if unsuccessful, I would rather have one as it would have been helpful during the pandemic(not it as such but what it leads to a Pink ID card). I will say it again Im ex-military so I know how to be patient and will wait and wait.
  5. Ok went back today and the missus did all the talking without me present, the whole outcome now is (she didnt get the helpful guy this time)they need the village head to attend for allow me to have one(HUH) plus the person above the village head (Double HUH), they want to know why I want one. I know I'm clutching at straws but do you have to do it at your local office or can you do it at the province capital(I know its no but I live in hope, Im also ex-military so a stickler for entitlements, if Im emtitled to one I want one.
  6. I was asked as well for passport translation and residency certificate, I havent gone back yet but the certificate of residence has a passport translation incorporated in it so I will try and go that way.

  12. I dont usually get involved in others conversation, but where did they insult young people they pointed out that they were signing up for life times to buy over priced properties and given large loans when interest rates were low and many struggle as they rise.
  13. Yes I agree on the immigration front in small citys, but that can change as even here they have had a change of personnel a couple of times luckily I have had no problems at all, however if I was still in Chiang Mai i dont think the same would be true. On the other points Im along for the ride and have a good life.
