What a load of nonsense, how can they foresee a crime that a visitor may commit,

unless they have access to overseas police records, and when they depart to late they are going home.

Actually you can say that with quite a few places in Thailand now, I believe Thais are getting more fed up of foreigners invading there country, except when taking your cash of course.

Why not have a similar system for these taxis, when you pay a deposit when you book, refundable if you cancel within a certain, reasonable length of time.
