A big problem in Los Angeles too. The ships are stacked out in L.A. and L.B. harbor all the way down to Huntington Beach. That's one huge traffic jam. I posted this on my FB page yesterday. I understand how this happens. I worked as a crane operator down there for 21 years and retired 10 years ago and came here. My buddies telling me there is work around the clock. Will get better next month with Chinese New Year when the yearly slump is.

Very true. I should be in line for the vaccine in a few months, so I might be able to come over later this year. I managed to organise a money transfer over to the UK with Bangkok Bank, so I no longer have a compelling reason to be there in that regard.
(I wonder if when countries do start to open up, vaccination might be a condition of travel?).It already is.

That's what concerns me as I'm living in Thailand, I can't see anyone in positions of authority in this country doing what's right for the good of the population and the world in general.
The only reason Hydroxychoraquine is not available is that it is all going to what they view as the most important indispensable portion of the Thai population. What does that tell you about how they view their own people.

It's absolute <deleted>. Containers are owned and leased by the companies that ship them. Maersk et al. aren't in the business of supplying vessels without cargo or the means to transport it.
Im sure there are increases in freight or storage costs but there is no way there is any shortage of containers to ship that freight in, they would simply be used on the most profitable routes.
Has anybody noticed just at payday time when the foreign currency is to suppose to coming flowing in the foreign currency takes a dump and the baht goes up. Just like clock work. You can tell what day it is by this scale. Then wallah, after payday it slacks off. We all should transfer after payday and give it a chance to get back where the baht should be. The amount of foreign currency is not flowing in like it used to. Millions out of work, suicide has skyrocketed since covid and the numbers aren't here. No wonder the exports are down plus the fact of import duty extremely high. They want the falang to carry the load.

Global market cap of gold is 9T USD, BTC still only 0.6T so money still to be moved.
Gold still out there in the ground to be found, BTC only 21m to be made ever.
I'm on the BTC side of the fence, but like ETH more.
My ETH Just went up $600 since last night for what I own. Wish I would have bought BITCOIN when it was offered @ 17 cents a pop. Sheesh, did't know the puter good enough back then. Security was lax also. Seems many are going up riding the BTC wave.

the PM did another u-turn within several hours.
Boris Johnson, known as U-turn Man, does change his mind within days, rather then hours.
if the general was running the real military war, his tactic would confuse his opponents and gave him victory.
Now, nobody will listen to any official announcements and follow them.
Look's like the government is an panicky mode, just random, contradicting decisions.
BINGO. He would win over his enemy. It would disorient them to the point of absolute confusion. ????????????

It is like trying various vaccines against common colds
It would result in Human pin cushions as each new mutation arrives...aka: dog chasing his tail
2021 we will hear terms such as .....
Spain coronavirus variant
Italy coronavirus variant
Africa coronavirus variant
Greek coronavirus variant
etc
etc
etc
Till everyone on the planet is vaccinated multiple times and then and only then they will admit these vaccines don't work. Good luck with your JABS.

A general law on "communicable diseases'" could be used, and abused, in the future for other diseases. The common cold is technically considered a communicable disease, as are many other illnesses that we don't think of as such. One more step toward totalitarianism.

Download and install the free Stellarium software. It's a free open source planetarium for your computer. It shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. Once you put your location in (Khon Khaen) it will show you the night sky view as you look out your window.
I used it recently to locate Jupiter, its moons, Saturn and Mars recently as they came to their closest approach to Earth.
http://stellarium.org/Thank you for that download. I live out in the boonies past Phibunmansahan and watch the sky nightly. Have little to no light pollution except when the moon is past a 1/4. I'll download that and great topic. Yes Orions belt was one that stood out greatly but I noticed others were more prominent last night too. Eclipse on Sunday.

Meanwhile Portuguese judges referring to several scientific studies ruled that a single positive PCR test cannot be used as an effective diagnosis of infection. They said when running PCR tests with 35 cycles or more – the accuracy dropped to 3%, meaning up to 97% of positive results could be false positives.
Note many governments are running 45 cycles, its almost like they are deliberately trying to find cases despite them being completely asymptotic and not even contagious.
Meanwhile Former Pfizer Chief Science Officer Dr. Michael Yeadon says "Second Wave" Faked On False-Positive COVID Tests. He warns that half or even "almost all" of tests for COVID are false positives.
Bingo RANCID, you win the prize today. PCR tests extreeeemly inaccurate. If you read on the manufacture box says" not to be used as diagnosis. This whole thing smells badly of social engineering.

I go back 30 years and the abject poverty was not pleasant........you could argue either way I guess. The biggest improvement (for any country) would be to ban large group tours that dominate and destroy as they tour around.....certain nations are very apt to holiday in this fashion.

The only crock pot I could find was at Big C and it is small. Maybe I should go to Lazada Huh unless others here can direct me to some place here in Thailand. I love to eat and I love to cook. My new hobby in retirement.
If you weren't in Thailand, where would you be?
