  1. 40,000 baht a month !! ....that's more than a Aussie old age pensioners live on IN Australia . If they can live on 20,000 baht a month in Australia after housing that's $950 AUD ,then I'm sure you can in Asia

It depends if you have Private health insurance, I pay $210 per month for HCF medical insurance I still had to pay a "gap" fee to the specialist but got in quicker because I was seeing him in his private rooms as opposed to the public hospitals clinic I saw 2 specialist this year at private hospital within a week,St Vincent private hospital as opposed to St Vincents public hospital

  18. Your wrong Let me tell you why Imagine if I was on the Old age pension in the UK or Australia Ok just say I owned my own home there too I still would be living on the same money right? So what's the difference living say in Australia on $900 AUD a month and Pattaya/Philippines Asia/Thailand I'm sure there is a lot of Old age Aussie live on that as well as UK pensioners after their rent I am yet to hear from any Vietnam expats or Phillipinrs on here !
  19. The problem with cooking your own food is your still using electricity I'm thinking just buy a microwave I forgot about phone internet etc How do you poor guys like me live without Air conditioning I remember I was in patts last April /May and it was a bloody heatwave
  20. I will check out Chiang Mai in February though ,it may be worth checking if the costs are not high although I'm thinking they may be higher than Pattaya in regards to groceries, gym fees , The condo prices say 1 bedroom mY also he higher ,I will have to research

  24. I admit I haven't been to Chiang mai for about 12 years I don't think it was that cheap I will check out Chiang Mai on my next trip in February Do you think it's any cheaper than say Pattaya in regards to Gym , groceries , day to day expenses
  25. I think it's called the OA visa As for health insurance,self insure and use the Australian system if needed
