  1. Use your Schwab mobile app and see if it works. If not they'll let you know and you still have the check to try and deposit in a Thai Bank. Also, the check is good for one year, so if you go back to the US, you can always deposit it when you're there. I deposited mine yesterday with Schwab and they accepted it. Now I'm waiting for it to post as available funds.

  2. The smart play would be for Bangkok Airways to have 3 flights a week from Utapao to Hua Hin. This would give Pattaya, Rayong,  and Chantaburi residents a quick and economical way to travel there without the hassle of driving around Bangkok. I know I would take those flights 2 or 3 times a year. Even 2 flights a week would probably work since most people would go for a 3 or 4 day holiday. There is also the possibility of connecting with train service to the Southern provinces if they create a favorable scheduling connection.
