  1. the first eligible day that i dont have any thai food or environment related issues is the day i go. you never can know what tomorrow will bring or how you will be disabled from it.

example: currently have reduced mobility due to i think some type of insect bitten my foot. possibly red centipede or something else. seen red centipede around in my current room and many other i have stayed in. i think the come up through the thai drainage system

  2. His Russian wife was quoted as saying he was under stress due to personal and visa extension problems. RIP

    "...visa extension problems."

There you have it. The Thai government is ultimately responsible for this tragedy.

sue the immigration department and the heath workers responsible for the medication
  3. firstly, you are coming back, you just dont know it yet.

secondly hat yai is a separate country as far as thailand is concerned. have spend months there on many separate occasions for mostly the same reason. (border run are more convenient) moving north the attitude and culture change noticeably. so that is all you need to do , not necessarily leave as you propose. there are many different location niches that you can flit between at whim and to suit your mood.

i'm amazed that i can now walk past beautiful smiling girls who are readily available and not even feel the remotest need to open my wallet. just smile and walk on by. never would have though i could do that when i first came here. seen too much had the experience, so obviously those experience weren't all favourable even if most were. things have changed not to my liking on that front, or perhaps it is now me in my older age that doesnt bring out the best in in the girls that are available. still live here by choice without that fringe benefit though. often think of moving on but just dont get to actually do it. even if i do leave i always return.

  4. what has surprised me over the years is the number of completely dysfunctional foreigners who are living in the country,

yeah everywhere I have worked in "foreign" countries, you get the odd 1 or 2 nut jobs who have arrived on a banana boat, but Thailand must the be the regional hub for "broken"/disturbed/dysfunctional foreigners. there many who should be in padded cells for their own protection.

and then we have the another demographic of those who have have never traveled outside their own country until the prospect of a cheap available women grew too strong for them and they up root themselves and transplant themselves to Nakon Nowhere shacked up with some bint, with splayed toes and a trick pelvis who gave them the goo goo eyes and promised to love them long time and they are absolutely clueless

Where exactly do you meet these completely dysfunctional foreigners, and what are you doing in those places?

Dear boy, one only has to open ones eyes in many public places in the major population centers in the country, to see this.

unless of course you live in Nakom Nowhere per the second demographic and you would be forgiven for not seeing this

i currently am located in an area where there are huge volumes of farang passing through daily. cant recall seeing even one "dysfunctional foreigner". so once again, what are you doing in those places.!?

  5. you are short changing yourself by not having a 7card if you live here

Is that the name to ask for: "a 7 card"?

Easy really you stop shopping there or you buy a rechargeable debit card card, load your cash on it, that's what our boys do .

The card is swiped through the till monies deducted and you have no problems.

Is the rechargeable debit card the "7 card," or is/are there other types of debit card/s that can be used at 7-11?

fairly certain they will understand 7 card. also if you indicate the point where the card is read in front of the till to the right of the cash register at about waist height should help with understanding.

7 cards are just hold on the reader, wait for "purse" to show on the display. no messing about with anything. much more convenient than a normal bank debit card transaction. never seen anyone use another type of card but they have got other card readers there.

i got mine on a special but i think normal they are 200 baht or under, and three year validity. it has given me much more than this in rebates and my card is only about a year old. no additional fees anywhere. also think there is a refund for expired cards. not 200 baht refund about 50 baht i think.,

yes rechargeable debit card is the "7 card,"

main appeal is the convenience. not having to count out money not having to count change. still check the receipt though. if there are queries, they can void the transaction and redo it.

when they have stamp promotions they are auto added to your card

  6. Others, especially the Enterobacteriaceae, are contaminants that are introduced post-harvest. It is this second group that is considered most important in the development of histamine. Species such asMorganella morganii, Raoultella planticola and Hafnia alvei are able to produce high levels of histamine very rapidly at mesophilic temperatures (20-30oC)

i read this as the histamine could very likely have been due to contamination at the cafe, and due to its singular local occurrence from just 1 can the cafe is the most likely source.

    qed,

  7. I'm glad I am not the only guy who encountered this problem.

My Thai GF then took things to the next level on taking a razor blade and cutting her forehead and then went to the hospital where Thai police were called.

Besides causing me problems, the hospital staff analyzed the cut and said it was not abuse as there was no bruising on the sides of the cut.

My Thai GF said to Thai police that she would dismiss all charges for $150K BHT.

Thai police then threw her in jail and told here to never return to me.

My Thai GF was gone but I had to pay Thai police for their services.

Summary --- if you have a Thai GF, don't allow her to live with you. Pay for an apartment for her,...

If the relationship goes South, what is your exit plan (you are your Thai GF's cash cow)?

how long did they keep her in jail for?

  8. Buy some flowers and incense and pretend to give an offering to some spirit. But don't tell her anything until she asks. Tell her you saw a ghost and think it was the lady who died there before you moved in.

If that don't work just tell her your old gf is coming to see you.

Or, invite two mates to come stay for a few days and drink, fart, burp and enjoy....

One of these should work smile.png

maybe better : Tell her you saw a ghost and think it was the your previous GF who died/YOU MURDERED there before she moved in.

  9. Scombroid food poisoning is a foodborne illness that results from eating spoiled (decayed) fish.[1] Along with ciguatera, it is listed as a common type of seafood poisoning.[2]

However, it is often missed because it resembles an allergic reaction. It is most commonly reported with mackerel, tuna, bluefish, mahi-mahi, bonito, sardines, anchovies, and related species of fish that were inadequately refrigerated or preserved after being caught. The syndrome derived its name because early descriptions of the illness noted an association with Scombroidea fish (e.g., large dark meat marine tuna, albacore, mackerel); however, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have identified other, nonscombroid vectors, such as mahi-mahi and amberjack. Scombroid syndrome can result from inappropriate handling of fish during storage or processing. One of the toxic agents implicated in scombroid poisoning is histidine, which is broken down into histamine. Other chemicals have been found in decaying fish flesh, but their association with scombroid fish poisoning has not been clearly established.

    Source- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scombroid_food_poisoning

closest i can see is "Histamine is not destroyed by normal cooking temperatures, so even properly cooked fish can be affected"

havent yet determined that the temperatures, pressures and anaerobic conditions associated with canning will leave the histamine unscathed. if you got a link post it.

  10. The fast pace of progress has it's casualties.

Money is the king. The people lacks spirituality and culture in their rush for progress and education. They did not take time off to smell the roses.

you must read different news than me. in the news i read, spirituality is causing the casualties in many countries around the globe.
