What did I say that was disrespectful of the elderly?
As I've already stated in an earlier post, your repeated reference to the gentleman as "the old guy". But never mind. I've decided to go along with several other posters and consider you as "just a troll".

You have not grown up, this is not the school yard.
Some people are just stuck in their old senile ways, refuse to communicate properly.
Some of us find it difficult to communicate with a poster who is so disrespectful of the elderly.

6pm, I'd like to know how many hours the taxi rider spent with the old guy trying to please him.
What was the old guy thinking, unable to communicate but still hiring a motorbike taxi.
I see many Russians doing the same stupid things.
I'd like to know more about the phone, perhaps the old guy just misplaced it.
Why must you repeatedly refer to Mr. Mahlev as the "old guy"? Why not the tourist, Mr. Mahlev, the victim, any name with a bit of respect? You must be a young guy. Has it ever occurred to you that you will be 81 one day (if you're lucky)?

With the "flocks" seemingly being primarily MAGAs, they probably think their early settlement in Russia will position them advantageously in the forefront when Brother Trump becomes president again and embraces all things Brother Putin proposes (or orders Brother Trump to do). "We'll see, we'll see how it goes" (DJT).

We shouldn't really knock Anutin's decisions. He can't control which way the wind is blowing.

When the little girl has to go, she has to go. What's the big deal? Where do the street dogs go? Answer: same place.

So how did the steering ropes snap, when they have been inspected on a regular basis?Perhaps the ropes were inspected but not the pullies. A seized pully would place significant stress on the ropes.

So big deal. The couple get their jollies by being exhibitionists.

It's a topic that's hard to put a finger on.

Thaksin ........ Truly an example of "fall in a <deleted>e hole and come up smelling like a rose".

So you want to blame your laziness on me?
It wasn't laziness. It was a brain fart. But at least I took accountability for it. A hell of a lot more than I can say for you. Sorry that you are an unhappy expat (not really).

If you had read the article, you'd know that he was the buyer, caught in a police sting.
I read the article but I think my brain might have locked in on the headline where it said "working in Phuket". Excuse me, my mistake. But your sarcastic reply ("If you had read") just reinforces my thinking that there are so many people on this site that thrive on nastiness. Are there really that many unhappy, grumpy expats in Thailand?

"L" ........ He must have rocks in his head. He'd have been better off doing his selling in Canada (my home country) where all he would have got was a slap on the hand and back out on the street the next day, if not the same day. Maybe the competition here is too great for him.

Went on one of these a couple of years ago, very good, but I don't think being electric removes the risk from fire/smoke particularly with an enclosed cabin.
I think you missed the intended-sarcasm. I believe the commenter was indirectly referring to EVs that sometimes catch fire.

I realize the death and injured numbers are always high in Thailand but seeing the numbers in print at this time each year portrays Thailand as a vehicular slaughterhouse.
Extend the festivities, extend the death toll.

They're going to be wishing that they had chosen the "How to be an Internet Scammer" course instead of the "How to become an International Mule" course, when still in school back in Nigeria.

Imagine his military predecessors doing anything like that ...
I think the contrast is to Srettha's credit. The common touch is an indication of egalitarianism which, in this country, is a welcome step forward. In public life even little gestures count.
The military prefers to spray bullets, not water. This is definitely a step forward.

As my lady friend said on my first day in Thailand, when I asked her, "why so much garbage everywhere"? Her answer, "welcome to Thailand".

I'll be watching for coverage in a month or two that they kissed and made up, with the promise of no more getting hammered.

"Other members" seem to agree about your disrespect, whereas my comments seem to garner respect. I turned 103 last week and still like to get laid a couple times a week, walk my dog vigorously several times each day and go out dancing twice a month. I consider myself a senior or elder, NOT an old guy. 🤣
