So you want to blame your laziness on me?
It wasn't laziness. It was a brain fart. But at least I took accountability for it. A hell of a lot more than I can say for you. Sorry that you are an unhappy expat (not really).

If you had read the article, you'd know that he was the buyer, caught in a police sting.
I read the article but I think my brain might have locked in on the headline where it said "working in Phuket". Excuse me, my mistake. But your sarcastic reply ("If you had read") just reinforces my thinking that there are so many people on this site that thrive on nastiness. Are there really that many unhappy, grumpy expats in Thailand?

"L" ........ He must have rocks in his head. He'd have been better off doing his selling in Canada (my home country) where all he would have got was a slap on the hand and back out on the street the next day, if not the same day. Maybe the competition here is too great for him.

Went on one of these a couple of years ago, very good, but I don't think being electric removes the risk from fire/smoke particularly with an enclosed cabin.
I think you missed the intended-sarcasm. I believe the commenter was indirectly referring to EVs that sometimes catch fire.

I realize the death and injured numbers are always high in Thailand but seeing the numbers in print at this time each year portrays Thailand as a vehicular slaughterhouse.
Extend the festivities, extend the death toll.

They're going to be wishing that they had chosen the "How to be an Internet Scammer" course instead of the "How to become an International Mule" course, when still in school back in Nigeria.

Imagine his military predecessors doing anything like that ...
I think the contrast is to Srettha's credit. The common touch is an indication of egalitarianism which, in this country, is a welcome step forward. In public life even little gestures count.
The military prefers to spray bullets, not water. This is definitely a step forward.

As my lady friend said on my first day in Thailand, when I asked her, "why so much garbage everywhere"? Her answer, "welcome to Thailand".

I'll be watching for coverage in a month or two that they kissed and made up, with the promise of no more getting hammered.

"Por told her husband that she did not engage in any sexual activities with the monk." One of the 3 biggest lies in the world.

I rememebr my mum telling me to reread anything i write .....in primary school
Mum was right. I was given the same advice. But proof reading on any site is almost unheard of in today's fast moving digital world (BTW, take a look at the spelling of your second word and the failure to capitalize your second "I"). Just sayin'.

What a surprise that the minister involved has a reasonable looking soundbite to justify his department’s existence and spending. I recall seeing plenty of satellite images during the floods in 2011 and over the last decade with our persistent poor air quality issues. It would appear alternatives already exist.
Certain elements of Thai society love nothing better than implementing the latest international trends from developed countries. The problem is, the wider societal foundations for these are not yet in place.
Rather than standing on the shoulders of giants and messing around with vanity projects such as space exploration and submarines, below is a list of what I would describe as much higher priority spending issues for “the wellbeing of Thai people”.Education
Health services
Social and old age care
Water/flood management infrastructure - engineering/construction
Air quality management
Road safety
And may I add: 1) encouragement and facilities to handle refuse (aka garbage) responsibly. 2) deal with unsightly and dangerous cables of all utilities. 3) proactive police work to reduce traffic fatalities.

Why?
Why? Because little Thailand would be such a "bit player" in this partnership compared to big and technically strong China. This is merely Thailand running on China's coat tails. What does Thailand bring to the table as compared to China? Answer: Not much.

"Thailand and China join forces for lunar and space research". I very much doubt that this is the way the headline would read in China.

One thing I have realised over the past few years is how stupid people are. Accepting lockdowns and in the uk publicly telling people they were using Phyops against their own people a fact that still disgusts me (being ex army). Then watch people sleep walking into digital currency with the power banks and governments already welding. I tokenly carry an oz silver coin in my pocket to remind myself its real value and not made up. Everyone should read about the Bradbury pound (it scared the hell out of the Bank of England because it had real value).
"One thing I have realised over the past few years is how stupid people are." What took you so long ???
