let prawit buy watches no thais starve for it
Maybe not "starved" but certainly "deprived". A million dollars in gift kickbacks is a million dollars of money that the Thai citizens were deprived of. Gifts (kickbacks) add to acquisition costs. To think otherwise is a fallacy.

The effort must be bringing in Cheap Charlies. I have several friends who work in upscale, traditional Thai massage spas (no, not rub and tug).
They tell me that hotel is full but business is more like low season in high season. Tourists just aren’t indulging. And tipping seems to be a thing of the past.

It will be interesting to see how this poaching case is handled compared with the penis eater's.
I am sure we will learn a lot about protected species!
And he might learn a lot about equal treatment (or not) depending how rich or how not rich he is.

a few human deaths means actually very little when so many humans die in Thailand every second.
That is a totally ridiculous statement. Any deaths that can be avoided is a plus, a step forward.
Using your rationale, why not just nuke all of civilization? Dah

Time for our dear leader to write a new song as a boost?
I don’t think “dear leader” will be expressing his contentment
about this announcement the way he did about the other one.
Only the good ones get commented on.

Give me three months to come up with an excuse for anything I have done wrong, and find a bunch of cronies to back my bullshit up, and I too could probably talk my way out of just about anything. Total bullshit cover up and anyone with more than a dozen functioning brain cells knows it. The lies will save face though and that is all this place cares about.
Bullshit baffles brains.

what is that question directed at? Road fatalities drownings malaria boating accidents electricutions rabies?
why is this subject any different than other causes of death?
It is obvious that the member means "how many deaths are acceptable", as it relates to the Ministry reassuring public that rabies situation is 'under control'.
This thread really doesn't have anything to do with road fatalities, drownings, malaria blah blah blah.
Rabies is the topic here.

Talk is so cheap !
That did sound like an awfully quick turnaround from out of control to “under control”.

BkkP is reporting that "the law allows the NACC to give only 2 extensions". So what assumptions can be drawn from lack of due process.
44 was used to authorize all those extra extensions.

I don't want to spoil your heartfelt list of yes and no's, but could you please supply a list like this for the last "democratic" government?
Or any before?
That would be getting off topic, AKA hijacking the topic. This thread is discussing the current group of bandidos.

Arrived on a Yamaha, left on a Honda.
This guy is really mixed up.
Sad for the deceased. A totally senseless murder.

No its not a coincidence, however they will have to prove who pulled the trigger. I think this is the problem here. I doubt there is a law here that makes you guilty by association. I am sure they can find him guilty for a few things.. but won't be able to prove he actually pulled the trigger.
Ahh, that’s no fun. He won’t be able to brag to his buddies that he killed that dangerous, black panther.

This is the “trickle down” effect playing out. What else can be expected?
When the Thai government workers see their junta leaders get away with snubbing their nose at the Thai population after getting caught “owning” 25 very expensive watches, bought on a general’s salary, of course they will be emboldened to become a copy cat.

When the general was in power for 1 year he sent the army to Samui (iirc) to arrest a big wig gangboss....he dropped SEALS on the roof of his estate and at the neighbours, loads of them, to arrest that guy.
It is the only time i heard abour BKK doing something in the South...they have no control over those provinces it seems to me, also they can't be bothered by that.
2 jetski-renters involved in a shooting on Chaweng (most famous one) beach when loads of tourists are there, if the big general doesn't do anything now they better give the whole south to Malaysia or so.
Surat Thani is south but not “deep south”. I think you are confused about where the problem is. It is in the Deep South.

Ho hum.
I think 50 points in 2018 would be a better goal.

True that, must get very dizzy...
I believe there must be a special recruitment process for junta spokesperson's they must be completely none emotional when instructed to give contradictory announcements within hours of each, come to think of it I think it is known as a frontal lobotomy and seems to be a very popular procedure with the junta
Same recruitment process as Trump spokespersons. Must be able to lie through your teeth.

“Conservative Thailand”
”lewd and obscene public displays”
”Thai-ness”
All interesting words.

1 out of 15? You must have a thai calculator 5555
Haha, you are right. I should have not used the Thai calculator. Should have just done it in my head as usual. Okay, 1 in 6 (more or less, the numbers are all BS anyway). Thanks for the correction.

The world has a total population of 6 billion people. It is suggested that there will be a viewership of 800 million (almost a billion). That means that 1 in about every 15 people (more or less) will be watching this race. Hmm.
